Happy to have you out here on the west coast. When my husband was in ICU his nurse was 1:1 ratio. It was so nice. I’m not a nurse but really enjoying your videos.
Hey girl!! I’m an RN in Nor Cali...you need to come up here. Some of my best RN friends are travel nurses bc they end up staying here ($ and ratio) 🤣😂 new subbie
Yes please! Make another video about traveling nursing in general and the things that you’re learning through experiences! Would love to see and hear from you!
I took a travel position at Cedar Sinai. Best job ever!! Ratio great!! Housing paid for and furnished, pool, parking paid. My housing was all set up. 2 miles from Beverly Hills. I took my own car. However, I was offered a rental. Couldn't imagine sending a child to public school in L.A. Groceries are expensive!! Culture shock as I came from Amish Country.
Thanks for the video. I also looked at Furnished Finders in order to find housing for my first assignment. That’s always an option as well asides from AirBNB. I look forward to going to California sometime next year, this video made me excited for that :)
So, with your increase in income but also increase in cost of living, did you end up making more or less money as compared to other locations? Great video btw!
Idk how i never seen this video. I’ve basically seen all of yours lol. Ratio is the main reason I want to do travel out there. I’m a floor nurse in the south and max I have 7 patients. Hopefully I can find assignments close to family so I can stay with them🙏🏾
Heyyyyyy Gurl! I’m so glad you’re back! I love the head wrap. I would love to travel to all of the states. My professor does international travel nursing. Would you ever consider it?
I currently am assigned in Saudi Arabia. It definitely is a quite an experience. It’s like a completely different world. Lol. I am grateful for this experience because of the people I have met, the lessons I have learned, and the travel opportunities, but all of this did not come out without a challenge. I know you weren’t expecting a reply from a stranger, but I hope this helps to answer any concerns you had in your mind regarding this option in nursing! I wish you the best with all of your studies.
Michelle Brun Hey! I just started travel nursing and I'm loving it! I was wondering how to get started with international travel. What company are you with?
How much experience did you have as a nurse before deciding to travel? Im from the south as well and I am interested in traveling! Especially to work in Cali.
Hi thank you for the tips, this is confirmation with my goals. I was looking into Kaiser Riverside/Riverside in general. How do you like the hospital/area?
As a travel nurse in California, do you ever get temp jobs in other parts of Cali? Like can you have a job in Los Angeles for a month and then a job for 3 months in San Diego? Also, do you ever get asked to extend a contract? Are there long term travel contracts, like 6 months and up?
Are you planning on staying in Cali past your assignment? Basically, did this experience make you want to plant roots there or are you just trying to be an air plant and bounce once its over?
I want to stay in Cali as long as possible! The way my life is set up, I couldn't just make a decision right now to up and move there but yea. I would like to hit different places in California before I decide to leave the state for good ( I drove there so I'm trying to get my miles worth lol)
Hi @NurseRocky! Thanks for the informational video! I'm looking to traveling to Cali! Would you mind sharing which agency supplied you with the LA assignment? I am hoping to go to LA and two companies I've been working with, don't have any options in LA. This would be so helpful! Thank you!!!
Hey! I loved this video! I’m a new nurse and my first jobs have been pysch and Med/onc how do you get into the ICU or L&D so you can do travel nursing in those areas?
It's 2:1 in WA state as well 🤗 You're hilarious 😂😂. How many years of experience do they need before starting as a travel nurse? Do you think 1 year experience is gonna be enough 😅
For some agencies and hospitals it can be. Others it won't be... don't let that stop you. The determining factor should be more about if you feel confident and comfortable with your skills as a nurse to step out there... not if someone will hire or not (someone 9/10 will hire you)
Hi thank you for this video! So do you have a permanent home and you drive your Hybrid to Cali when you have assignments? Or would you suggest renting a vehicle?
Hello, first you are so pretty! Can you tell us how it is to be a travel nurse in the hospital, with your new co worker, people are they different? do you receive bad assignment? Thank you Katia
Any specific questions? I made this video a long time ago about housing: ruclips.net/video/dscXAogJ53Y/видео.html Comment on it if it helps or if you have more questions!!
Hello! Do you think that cost wise that it averages out and equals to other places? Especially when you figure in the cost of food, rent, gas etc. Thanks so much!!! I'm a fellow nurse as well :)
Is it best to just travel when you are an RN because I'm going to go to school for LPN and wanted to have that experience as a traveling nurse before enrolling to go to school for RN. But as I do my research for travel jobs in the healthcare field. There are more travel jobs for RNs than any other healthcare field. Maybe I should just wait until I become an RN to start traveling. Besides, I'm going to have to wait a year or two anyway before I could be even considered for a traveling company/assignment.
i am an international nurse who wanted to come to usa and to work in california but after watching your video , it seems california is not good for a beginner in terms of cost of living and being able to save money . pls. tell me a state that is good for a beginner to be able to save money .
I had another girl ask me a LONG time ago. It's not my niche, but I'm considering it on a smaller intimate scale. My youtube channel in a sense is a form of mentoring in itself! Email Me.
There are so many factors of you and your husbands life that I have no idea about. I can't tell you what's best, I can only suggest that you consider realistic challenges, risks, and benefits!
I actually drove my car across the country LOL. A lot of people transport their cars, I love to drive and wanted the personal experience, but If I go back to CA that is what I'll auto transport my car instead of driving!
Ctfu you have me dying. Im start my first assignment soon out there. How long have you been a nurse? and you were nervous doing traveling alone. I'll be by myself too
Great info thanks so much! Have you heard anything about what areas of Cali are more profitable for travel nurses? I’ll hopefully be going on first CA. Assignment soon. Napa valley..what are you’re thoughts?
Sometimes depends on seasons. Northern Cali pays well, but often the cost of living balances out... same with LA and surrounding areas. If you can master housing and find steals... that's your best bet
I did not even realize you ever replied!!! 😭😩 Girl! I’m RUclips illiterate lol but I’m learning. Can you give me your trustaff recruiter? (Couldn’t figure out how to send you a private message yet)... thank you sooo much. I’m ready to come out west in my new position💁🏾♀️😊😊😊
I live in California and have worked as an RN for 13 years. We make a lot but the cost of living and taxes will consume it. The nurses union is also pushing for Medicare for all which I’m afraid will force us to lower our wages. I’m sorry to get political in your comment section but the democrat party here is screwing things up. I do like your take on things.
More info on travel nursing! How to find housing, agency, where to travel nurse, etc. and new subscriber!! I like your personality
You filled up the tank and it didn't even clank clank lmao!!! I'm dead
Happy to have you out here on the west coast. When my husband was in ICU his nurse was 1:1 ratio. It was so nice. I’m not a nurse but really enjoying your videos.

Rockstar Rochelle im from Nor Cal!!! What hospitals? Im going to graduate with my BSN! I was thinking of coming to work there. :)
Talk about easy on the eyes. Bout to watch all your videos. Great info. I'll keep it in mind once I pass the NCLEX

Thanks for the video. I also looked at Furnished Finders in order to find housing for my first assignment. That’s always an option as well asides from AirBNB. I look forward to going to California sometime next year, this video made me excited for that :)
I just found your videos and they are amazing! You seem like a great person to hang out with to be honest. Such a great personality!
So, with your increase in income but also increase in cost of living, did you end up making more or less money as compared to other locations? Great video btw!

TheLisaRN California is an amazing choice for travel nursing. That’s where I did all my assignments and it was such a great experience.
Love how real you are! Enjoyed this video
Heyyyyyy Gurl! I’m so glad you’re back! I love the head wrap. I would love to travel to all of the states. My professor does international travel nursing. Would you ever consider it?
Thanks hunny!!
Wow! That's cool! I had a friend mention Dubai to me, but I'm not sure if I would at this point, but who knows lol.
I currently am assigned in Saudi Arabia. It definitely is a quite an experience. It’s like a completely different world. Lol. Make another travel nursing video please! I'm super interested and would love to hear your experiences/input! :)
I am looking into possibly starting to travel nurse but it’s very intimidating knowing where to start, you’re videos are very informative
I'm a nurse from Brazil and i have to tell that sometimes we have 6 patients for each nurse (on the surgical floor) >.
Where do you work? I’m from Brazil too
I am a nurse from India we have a 12 to 15 patients for each nurse lol ( all unit execpt ICU )
Loved this! I’m glad you enjoyed Cali (minus the housing situation) lol
Ratio goals! Where i do clinicals, our nurses have 4-5:1
I LOVE your videos!! They are helping so much!
Love to hear this! So encouraging!
I love your vibe lol....will be watching all your videos.
Thanks for your support!

Find an apartment or house in Temecula, California... it’s about an hour drive from Los Angeles and it’s wayyyy more affordable
I would love to see more travel nurse vids from you

Stephanie&CO yes you can often extend your contract! I did a travel assignment in LA then went down to San Diego.
I need your filming tips !! Are you just using natural light? Cameras built in mic
You didn’t mention the culture there, or commuting, crime. But I got a good feel for the rest. Thx!
I want more information about the housing. I'm looking to be a travel nurse.

Tawni Eskridge over paid??
Have you tried travel nursing in the south?
i am an international nurse who wanted to come to usa and to work in california

How do you find affordable housing or do you take the stipen?
OMG!!! You're you do the math comment / pic. I can't take no mo!!! Also, need more airBnb info.
what if you worked more than 40 hours , is that double time pay or OT PAY?
How did you bring you car up there?
Pleassseeee tell me...are your eyelashes real, individual, or strip? They look soooo natural.
I believe in this video they were individual lashes... most likely from an amazing lash studio in CA
Hey nurse Rocky 👋🏾👋🏾 do you do mentoring????
I had another girl ask me a LONG time ago. It's not my niche, but I'm considering it on a smaller intimate scale. My youtube channel in a sense is a form of mentoring in itself! Email Me.
Are you still in California? Have you tried other states
Honey I have a whole family trying to come to cali 5 kids and a husband sounds like a bad idea. What do you think????
There are so many factors of you and your husbands life that I have no idea about. I can't tell you what's best, I can only suggest that you consider realistic challenges, risks, and benefits!
