Mowing at night is easier and cooler than the day. I'm old fat and lazy. I couldn't air condition my mower so I have 8 led's about half the size as yours. I have rear for loading my fire wood in the small trailer for the winter and 4 in the front as well as 2 on each side of the deck. I live in the country so it's fun to get half drunk and mow until midnight....... It really helps to manage your time because you don't have to mow during the day. People stop on the road and watch.I'm about 12 years in with my setup and never had a charging issue , I also have the puffer air ride seat, highly recommend if you have a sketchy back. Yep I'm that guy... Thanks for sharing do it people you will be glad.

Sounds kind of sketchy to me. Operating any machinery while inebriated can lead to life changing outcomes. At least that’s been the case for several people I’ve known or known about in my 71 years.

The light bar link in your description takes us to a completely different product.
I like the idea of the light bar and the way you mounted it. But there’s an enhancement needed to the way you wired it. Bu wiring it straight to the battery you leave the possibility open for the light to be on even though the mower is shut down with the key off.
A better choice would have been to include a relay in the circuit that only closes when it’s control side, which you’ve hooked up to the key-on side of the mower wiring, is energized. That way both the switch at the operators console and the relay must be closed before the light is energized. Turning off the key will turn off the light, even if the switch is inadvertently in the on position.
Amazing Video!!! I just brought me a Ferris ISX3300 with the 40 HP Vanguard… I was skeptical at first about Ferris!! That was one of the best investments I ever made in purchasing a zero turn. I am definitely going to order lights like those in the video. Nice looking mower btw!!
I did the same thing on my BobCat Fast Cat mower. Amazon is the best and cheapest place to buy those LED light bars compare to a stores like Northern Supply's. But I mounted a longer light bar on the top roll bar. I just simply bolt it to a thin board. Then zip tie the board to the roll bar. But I did not wire my to the dash. I purchase a switch that plugs into the lighter plug from Amazon. It comes with a fuse inside. No special wiring needed to the battery. Just for note, it's best to put red nut tight on those hex screws. They will come lose over time from the vibration. I use my two light bars one above my head. And the other down at my feet. The only problem with the light on above your head? Flying bugs will hit you in the face. But it gives you more ground light on top vs. on the bottom. But both on at the same time is the best way.
Ferris must have changed the front plate you mounted the light on. The lower half of the plate on my 2023 ISX800 is angled backwards resulting in the light pointing down a few feet in front of the mower. I’m going to try and see if I can only use one of the set of two bolts that mount the lights to the brackets to angle it upwards.

I looked on amazon and I couldn’t find the 12 inch light bar you got from them. I couldn’t find the rectangle on/off switch.

It may cast a shadow if the bar isn't much taller than the operator. Also will attract bugs to the operator station. Best on the front in my experience.
Will it drop power the switch stand lit up all the time and run your battery down or not

What is best...roll bar or up front and low? I think of how the locations make a big difference on my boats. I would love to hear comments on the options.
After installing it lower I like how it really lights up the ground right in front of the mower. But I could see if you put it up high it would light up a bigger area. I only put it down low because the holes are already there. If you are good with drilling new holes in the roll bar I would put one down low and two smaller spot lights on each side of the roll bar. I think that would be the best combo. I am tempted to do that since lights are so cheap now on Amazon.
I think down low would help you see the line better between cut and un-cut.

I purchased the same kit as you did. However the light switch does not fit my Ferris. I have the 400s and the switch is too small for the opening on my mower. If I cut the instrument panel, would the switch hold in place without any further securing.
Most switches have little tabs and if the hole is the correct size it will lock in place with this tabs.
No solder for the wires ? How has that held up ?

I think 3-4 light is Better Visibility at night, .. But the Battery will be Short life span...
