Having had a Craftsman 1000 kholer for many years and still running but it's time to upgrade. After lots of RUclips and Google and physical researching I went to a FERRIS Dealership TOPS. In my area Harlingen TX according to them nobody has any 42" or 48" available not even the warehouse, they'll have to be made and it'll take around 2 to 6 months to a year. 8a to 5p Hrs of operation and they're always jammed with people needing service but they don't can't help anybody. TERRIBLE customer service so just imagine trying to get parts or maintenance. Stopped at a KUBOTA and customer service was fast attentive huge store and fully stocked organized plus they have many Kubota locations everywhere. 4 year warranty too. Bought the KUBOTA 42" Z232 Kawasaki zero turn with free delivery next day. Very happy with SERVICE and feel confident about continuing business with Kubota and will be buying more from them . Also Ferris mostly uses Briggs and Stratton motors.

I am thinking about buying this mower next year. I owned a simplicity citation 2007 model and just recently sold it. Used it since 2007 to cut 10 to 13 lawns fof families in my area of Richmond,va. The citation was the twin to ferris 1500 model. Only dirrerenc was that the ferris 1500 had 25 hp Kawasaki engind and was painted red. It also was 1 mph faster then the simplicity citation which had a b&s vanguard commercial engine on it.

I purchase on Amazon a LED light bar and mounted it on a thin pcs of wood board. Then zip tie it to the roll bar for support. I also purchase on amazon lighter plugs in switches and wire it to the light bar. I mow all the time in the dark. The only problem in having the light bar above your head? You can hit something and knock off the light. And the light bar will tract flying bugs at dark time. You might use other lights down by your feet to avoid all the bugs in the face.

I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

I bought one in june, sold it in july lol. It wouldnt hold a hill for nothing. Slides around on damp grass like crazy. The tires need changed out to a turf master tread instead of the oem smart turf ones. Also you need to space out the wheels with spacers or washers to get a more wider stance. Possibly change out the entire wheels & tires and get a 24x12x12 size tire and a 12x8 or 12x10 wheel. You will more than likely have to relevel the deck if you change sizes but it will be worth it.

The 700's do fine with the 27hp Briggs Commercial, and the 800 does better with the same engine, but a little better ride. One big advantage also for the 52 inch deck is the low cost (6.5 k to 7k depending on your dealer). Blessings

Cab N Air replied back to me last week. They are only putting those a/c cabs on the Ferris 3200 models. They don't advertise there price online. They say they have different options. But for the 61 inch deck with the mower and air conditioner cabs go for $26,500. And for he 72 inch deck $27,500 and that's cash prices. More if someone finance one. Plus shipping cost is extra. The 2020 Ferris ISX 3300 model sells for $13,000 in my area. So they got to be selling the 3200 model somewhere near the same. So the air conditioner cab got to cost at least $13,500 and up depending on the options they buy. To much money for me unless I hit the lotto someday.

Thanks for this info. That is very salty indeed. I didn't know there was an air conditioning cab option, I have never had to look into this option due to living in the NE of the US.

Ferris are pre-wired for lights from the factory. I negotiated the factory led light kit into the purchase of the macine. Most dealers will be happy to include it. Nice machine you have but you drive like a granny...you are barely running it to its full potential.

When you guys get tired of buying those over priced briggs,, kawasaki,, kohler oil filters just go to wal-mart or parts store and tell them you want a ph3614 fram or it's equivalent in what ever brand filters they sell.. That filter will fit most all small engines with a spin on filter. I am a retired auto mechanic and have worked on small engines all my life, i personally don't like fram as they are the cheapest made internally, like a cheap china toy or any gm built vehicle/automobile GOOD DAY
