Anyone who doesn't know there was fraud at this point is intentionally turning a blind eye. The amount of evidence is overwhelming. Yellow medallion was made by chrischan, the autistic author of Sonichu that fucked his dementia ridden mother, and is a sort of symbol of him. Due to how fucked up a person he was a lot of people believe/want to believe that the talisman inherited cursed energy (just like how some people believe 4chan and Pepe meme magic got Trump elected in 2016). Pair that with how the people who got a hold of them had a bit of a harsh and unceremonious decline after getting them and you have people believing this cursed talisman actually ruins the lives of people.

I don’t think I have any particularly helpful insights into the whole loli vtuber thing, but I am a closeted vtuber enjoyer. I feel like the SEA market (Philippines, Indonesia, etc) actually jerks off to that shit, but I feel like for the most part, it’s pretty harmless, and it’s just a joke about “lolicon culture.” When gura streams, she’s not doing this “hehe uwu I’m literally a child” thing the whole time, she just plays video games and talks like any other streamer.
I will say tho, hololive, the company she works for, is a Japanese company that basically acts as an idol agency for vtubers, and if you know anything about idol culture, you know how fucked it is. Multiple girls have gotten fired for breach or contract, the most public being Kiryu Coco, who was put on an unpaid leave when she called Taiwan a country, and chose to retire as soon as the break was over. That kind of company absolutely knows what they’re doing marketing loli shit, I just don’t personally think it’s as heinous or egregious as you guys seem to.
they did a ton to help coco, they stopped all their talents from using bilibili to stream (some of them were huge on there), they even shut down a whole branch and let go of all the chinese vtubers they had.
Not to mention most vTubers I've seen and watched don't even do the loli-stuff....if anything, they make themselves look like anime cam-whores with honkin' knockers.
I think Ralph's biggest problem with vtubers was how salty he got when Pipkin Pippa made fun of him, which was hilarious. I always hated Ralph and after this episode I hate him even more.
