I loved the fact that you had no problem sharing your faith with us today! I to am a follower of Christ. I have actually unsubscribed from FlossTube channels due to the fact that they wouldn’t even say the word “prayer” during their videos. They substituted things like positive thoughts, etc. but acted like they were unable to acknowledge God. Thank you for sharing your passion with us. Your work is beautiful!
Debbie White I’m so glad you found me! The days we live in are so odd. It seems like absolutely everything is permissible except anything biblical. This world and this girl needs Jesus Christ! My story is so interwoven with my faith. As I was thinking about doing these videos, I was asking God to help me to fulfill His purposes in me and let me glorify Him even in my this stitching part of my life. I’m glad to have so many other believers connecting with me and sharing this love of needle and thread. Thank you for commenting and watching!!
Wow.... you are a fresh Bouquet 💐 & are lovely to listen to.., Love your quilts... you’ve stirred up my desire to pick up lap quilting, again. I learned from a Amish family here in Ohio, The lead was the Grandmother (85)yrs) and soooooo fast with her needle... I kept saying I don’t have a sewing machine , I can’t do this, her response , priceless, it’s a good thing you do not, for God intended you use your hands , Hands to work Hearts to God. ♥️ I have a pair of hand stitched 🧵 Amish dolls, boy & girl gifted to me from this family... treasures... Look forward to your next video., Blessings ~ 🌷
Sharon Ann C. I’m sorry I missed your comment before, but I treasure it now! I’m so glad I could inspire you to get your quilt project going again. I love that your Amish friends helped you learn. I love that phrase of Hands to Work, Hearts to God. Thanks so much for watching and joining me in my sewing room to hear my stories!
Found your first flosstube this morning and enjoyed "meeting" you. Since the craziness prevented us from attending church I found a daily morning service at Canterbury Cathedral and became part of the garden congregation. Our Lent project is to record in our backpack journal whatever made us happy for the day. Your Nevertheless, Joy is my entry for today. Your JOY is so contagious. Thank you. I will be attached to my laptop catching up
I love, love, love birds too. We moved to our dream home on a lake last year and my dear husband has indulged me as well, by putting up feeders and bird houses all over our property. I can now sit in my sunroom in my stitching chair and watch chikadees, various woodpeckers, including a family of pileated woodpeckers, nuthatches and too many cardinals to count along with various other birds and wildlife. Mischievous Stitcher is one of my favorites too. Her soothing Southern voice drew me in and she and I have a similar style. She was one of the first I started watching as well. I'm looking forward to your videos. I really enjoy your enthusiasm. I recently discovered Seraphim fabrics and started a project on my first piece. They have a website. It's beautiful fabric and a dream to stitch on.
I love your stitching name! What a blessing to live on a lake with all that glorious wildlife!! My husband was working Illinois a few years ago and I flew out to visit him. Everyone thought he should take me to see the "Sites", but he knew I would want to see the landscape and beautiful waterways. We went for a walk along a creek and I saw my first Cardinal. I will always remember that trip to see my love and how he knew right where I would want to go for a walk.
I'm so glad I found your channel on this October 2022 Sunday! I'm happy for you and your excitement over learning new things and sharing your love of it. Looking forward to the quilt video. Love your quilt behind you. Blessings!
It is fun to see your excitement over your hobbies. Thank you for sharing your faith; I am Christian too so it is nice to not only have the stitching bond but the bond of faith as well. God has a plan and I am just relying on that. Blessings to you and happy stitching....................
I am also a needlework enthusiast. All of your hobbies except needle punch. I have all of the required elements just can't put down my cross stitching long enough to do it. I'm so excited to watch your quilt videos as well. Don't worry about called-for fabrics, they're sometimes hard to find even without Covid. Just look up what other people have done it on via instagram, just hashtag the name of the project in the search engine to see what others have used. You can message them if they didn't specify fabric. Most of us use whatever fabric we think the floss would look good on. That's why we have a stash of fabric. You throw the floss on to a couple of pieces of fabric (linen) and see what you like. That's called a "floss toss". See you next time. And, by the way, the next time they hold a "Road to California" quilt show -- I'm there. I live in Washington state but I'm NOT missing it one more year!
You explained a floss toss so well! I could imagine me doing every step as I read your comment! It's funny, I do that all the time with all the other hobbies I do just automatically. But, somehow with my reentry into cross stitch, I guess I don't have the confidence or maybe the experience to just jump in with that. I guess it will come naturally in time. You're right about searching on Instagram. As I just started the Friends of the Hart project, I found right off one of the #ourfriendsofthehartsal to see what others were using for the fox. I'm also finding my other stitching is on hold while I immerse myself in cross stitch. Since we just do this for fun and a retreat, I figure I can wallow in my new joy and then I'll make time for my quilting later. I'm sure loving this!
@@logcabinstitcher7274 I just got back into cross-stitch a year ago June (2019) and it's a whole new wonderful world. My taste in what I stitch has changed so much in the past year and I'm finally comfortable in this new cross stitch world (meaning I understand most of the acronyms). It comes really quick and everyone I've run across has been really nice and supportive. You say "ladies" in your videos but there is definitely a male contingent so, just sayin' . Welcome to this wonderful community. And don't mind the occasional thumbs down, it's usually people trying the change their youtube algorithm or mean trolls. One of the two. Haha.
Bonnie -- My favorite flosstubers are the ones that quilt too! I was a cross stitcher in the late 70's, 80's and 90's - I loved stitching but always had a love affair with quilts. In the late 90's, I took my first quilt class and was launched lol. After that point I did little cross stitch until a quilty You Tube friend introduced me to Floss Tube a little more that a year ago..... launched again lol. I also am a soapmaker and essential oils are something that always have interested me since I use them in my soaps. I originally am from San Diego but have been a mid-westerner for a couple decades now. I also have a son named Jake. Looking forward to following along with you. Blessings from Nebraska!
Gail Blain oh, I’m so glad you found me. We’ve got so much in common. Isn’t it funny what a large community Flosstube is, but I’ve somehow always missed it until just the perfect time in my life.
You are just delightful and full of JOY! What a great ending to this video. As a Christian , I appreciate your kindness and enthusiasm in always learning and reading scripture.
Oh, thank you!! I have such a desire to be a blessing, specially during these hard days. Without Christ, I'd be a gonner! Our marriage was turned around because we both submitted to God's principles since we'd done a lousy job doing our own thing. Glad to know there are so many sweet believers watching and supporting me!
Your video was indeed an encouragement to me, 1st because of the joy and boldness you have in sharing your faith, 2nd because of the joy and excitement of sharing your love of stitching and your plans for projects- so much fun. ThAnk you and I look forward to following along with you on this great adventure
Hello, Bonnie, welcome to Flosstube! You not only dipped your toes in, you jumped in and made a beautiful SPLASH! I think you did a marvelous job with your videos. I had a wonderful time stitching and getting to see your projects. You are a pleasure to listen to. By the way, the Needlework shop in Portland, Oregon, Acorns and Threads has a beautiful selection of fabrics. If you call, they are so helpful and kind. You are sure to find an R & R linen that you will fall in love with. I have been stitching for several years and no matter the size of my project, pin keep to sampler, I stitch in hand. Thanks for sharing such goodness. I am Grateful that I stumbled upon your videos. I promise to share your channel the next time I make a video. Happy Stitching, your new friend, Daleen
I love your thought of me making a SPLASH. Got me laughing!! Thanks so much for watching and I hope to see you again in my Sewing Room on future videos.
Enjoyed your video and projects. Will look forward to watching the quilt videos as well. I have many quilt UFO's as well, most written down and what stage they are in...working on one with a friend via FaceTime on a weekly basis which has helped me stay accountable. Thank you for being bold in your faith. What a blessing to me!
Thank you for your fun and uplifting video! Praise God for your willingness to share your faith and for encouraging us to Choose Joy! Even as a woman of faith, I find it hard to choose joy sometimes. I am also a quilter and a relatively new cross stitcher. I am looking forward to catching up on your videos, both flosstube and quilting. God bless!
Thank you so much! When I was deciding if I really was going to move forward with this RUclips project, I was asking God what He wanted for me in this and how could I glorify Him. I'm thrilled with how many ladies are grateful for the encouragement and the faith I share. I'm so glad you are joining me in this stitching world!
This is my first time watching you & I enjoyed it very much!!! It is remarkable at the talent you have…I will definitely be back to watch again. Good luck to you 😊
Someone went down the project bag hole ❤️ I do the Vonna project bags because I cannot for the life of me do the vinyl ones “prettily” OMG I love your pure joy and enthusiasm ❤️ one more to watch THEN I binge your 3 quilting ones...because, you know....QUILTING ;)
Decided to come back to you first flosstube and watch all in order. I love you you color favorites. Most of all, sharing your faith. Keep being bold about your faith. Look forward to your flosstubes and will now have to start watching your quilt ones. I am a newbie in both areas. God bless you.
How fun for you to be catching up on my videos. Thank you!! I sure love sharing my projects with so many wonderful people who want to see them. Glad you jumped in with stitching.
I forgot to mention a trick I use instead of a light box. If you have a sew steady table, you can put an led light bar underneath it and use it as a light box. I bought the light bar on Amazon.
I've tried that with a plastic box, but that didn't work. I have gotten a few recommendations on good $20 light boxes, so I think I'll go that route. Be much easier on my arms than the window!! Thanks for watching!
My LNS is The Stitching Post and they have a great variety of linens: Picture this Plus, R & R, Lakeside, weeks... You name it! Also, check out Stacy Nash and Notforgotten Farm. You may like their designs ♥️
Wow, just followed your suggestions and got caught up in checking them out and loving what I found. Thanks so much for the ideas and I’m thrilled you found me and joined me in my Sewing Room for a chat!
Always a wonderful day to know Jesus is acknowledged and His Word!! You prescreening and a joy! Oh, make no mistake about Laurie...she is an 👼 angel and a delight to be around...I have had 1st hand expierences!! Your first two projects look like soo much fun!! I am a BAP (big a$$ projects)girl. But, I still 💘 the art of cross-stitching! On to find #3 video! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2020!
Hi Bonnie, I am really enjoying your videos. I live close, in Riverside, and didn’t know we had a LNS. When it cools off I plan on checking them out. I am also a quilter and a believer. Love when you share your faith and all of your projects. We have similar tastes I attend the Road to California every year, will be sad if it doesn’t happen this year. I care for my Mom who will be 102 in November so I have to be careful where I go, so not sure if I would be able to make it anyway. Look forward to all your future videos.
Becky Wilson WOW! You are close! Yes, if your with your Mom it is a challenge to get out, yet be careful. Support your immune system and enjoy the company of her and our Heavenly Father and your stitching! I wish Needles & Niceties carried more of the newer and more popular charts, but if you are already in the area during their limited hours right now, it’s worth a visit. There’s also Legends Burgers in the same shopping center. Yum!
Hi Bonnie! Not certain if you would like them or not since you are more of a prim colorway stitcher but if you are interested in stitching very realistic birds with excellent coloring, etc., check out the patterns on Crossed Wing Collections since you mentioned how much you love birds. Thank you for sharing the Bible verses that inspire you and bring you joy, which is definitely needed these days especially.
I've got your suggestion on my list now to check out. Thanks for sharing that. I appreciate your encouragement to keep sharing my faith and the joy it brings me and I just want to pass it along!
I'll watch more of Country Stitches videos. I'm really enjoying seeing the different ways other stitchers find to make life and stitching easier. Thanks so much for watching!
Isn't that amazing how we gravitate to others that we have similar tastes with. Shanda was the one who got me falling down this lovely Rabbit Hole of crossstitch and now videos. Thanks so much for watching!
Wow!! Do I love your videos!! Love all your projects, fabrics, flosses!!! I’m definitely going to watch your quilting as well!! I am a Christian as well. My faith is the most important part of my life!! God bless you!!! No coincidence that I found your videos!!!
Sent by God! Isn't that cool?? So glad you found me and can spend time listening to my stories and share in my passions for my faith, fabric and floss!!
The zippers at Joannes are the Coates & Clarks. They have been around for years, and always packed the same. A quick iron, and crease is gone. Best when they have buy 3 get 2 free. Why pay so much more, just for hanging on a wheel. I really should not be talking about this on this floss tube about zippers, fabric, and sewing as that goes into your other show, but just responding to your inquiry. Sorry. Good luck finding supplies, as it all is just slowly coming back, and back orders are starting to be filled. Stash is good. You never know.
Just like me!!! I am a transition cat lover!! I got my first beloved cat at 13 who lived to be 17 years old. When we had to put our last cat down about 10 years ago, I decided I was DONE with all the heartache of the goodbyes to my beloved cats and would just enjoy watching the outdoor critters. But, then Riley slipped into our lives and now I totally get those Dog People!! Because Riley is so small, I call him the Cat That Cares! He's my constant companion and valiant protector.
Really enjoying your videos! I do lots of crafts and have embroidered and cross stitched a bit over the years but in recent years mostly make clothes for myself and my small kids. When covid happened I wasn't very motivated to sew clothes and I ended up discovering floss tube and falling down this wonderful rabbit hole! So I completely relate to your story! I also happen to love making project bags. Thank you. I'm happily subscribed and eager for more!
Oh Thank you, so much!! I'm glad to meet so many sweet stitchers and fellow FlossTube watchers in this community. I can't believe I never saw it before! Guess I was too busy quilting, but this was just the right time for me to dive in and never come out!
I just stumbled across your channel a few days ago and didn’t subscribe and then could remember your name. I’m so glad it came back up in my suggestions. I love your enthusiasm with your restart into the cross stitch world. My in laws lived in Redlands and my sister in law lives up in Big Bear! We lived in California for almost 10 years but now live in South Carolina. Welcome to floss tube I am now a subscriber 😃
Stitcharella I’m glad you didn’t loose me! So you’re still familiar with my side of the US! How do you find South Carolina after living here? I have heard it’s very friendly and so much less crowded.
Log Cabin Stitcher I was raised in Cleveland Ohio and meet my then boyfriend now husband just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary, when I was 19 he was from so cal. So I moved there and then we moved to Colorado and eventually ended up in the Bay Area. We had family that lived in the Carolinas and my husband was ready to take a break from the rat race. I miss the beauty that California offers but I’m so thankful to live in the Carolinas! I live in Columbia it’s smack dab in the middle of the state two hours from the mountains and two hours from the coast. For the most part people are friendly but it’s a growing city with a lot of people moving here from others states and it’s a college town so it’s not as small town as people think
Stitcharella Congratulations on your wedding anniversary! I can see why you would leave the rat race here. It’s getting more crowded in our area (Inland Empire) and the freeways are bonkers. Racing is a common occurrence on crowded freeways and accidents are more frequent. Pretty scary thinking of my kids driving here. Now, I’m off to enjoy your videos and see your projects. Isn’t this little community so awesome?
Dandelion leaves are delicious in a salad! The taste is bitter, so I like it best in a variety mix of greens that includes sweeter tasting lettuce varieties or sweet pea leaves, or perhaps use a sweet vinaigrette type dressing, to balance the flavour profile of the salad. The dandelion leaves are a delightful addition to a salad, raising the bar to next level deliciousness. One person’s weeds are another person’s wildflowers, as the saying goes.
Bonnie, I truly love your enthusiasm for cross stitching (and quilting) it's such fun to see! Though I've been stitching for a very long time, I still feel great excitement when new charts come out (many during the Nashville Needlework Market in March). Like you, faith is a very important part of my life, especially now. Enjoy your stitching and discovering new charts and designers, as well as more Flosstubers!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you are gaining strength in your faith in Christ as well during these hard times. We can keep sharing it with others and keep moving forward!
Loving this video. that fabric with the pumpkins and the coordinating fabric with the half moons is right up my alley. :) Now I know who Vonna is. A few people have mentioned her. Guess I am heading over there after I binge all of your videos. :)
Enjoyed #2! I, too, cross stitched years ago and am back at it wholeheartedly! So much has changed...just love it! Thank you, too, for sharing a Bible verse at the end...till next time...happy stitching!
My favorite Ort is Neice Lynn’s a flosstuber. She has a small clear glass container where she puts her threads and as she sees the threads she recalls her past projects. Sweet.
Hi again!! I just wanted to mention that Dying to Stitch is the home of R and R Reproduction Fabrics. They are also a cross stitch store, so you can order fabric directly from them. They have several clubs as well. There are just so many things to learn!! I really enjoy your videos and we have similar tastes. I am also a Christian and I love to watch floss tubers who are as well. You should watch Cynthia Brew, Stitching In The Light, as I know you would really enjoy her, too. Have a great stitching week!! 🥰
Yes, I love Cynthia Brew and Celeste Creates also. Hey, that's good to know about ordering from Dying to Stitch, I didn't realize they had a retail shop. I would love to get a huge stash of linens so I have them ready to go. Goodness...I am really going crazy with this new love!
Gram Gram Stitcher How wonderful! Sisters in the Lord! I’m looking forward to getting to know you better with more videos and comments! Thank you for watching,
@@logcabinstitcher7274 I do most of my shopping online. My local shop closed (Needle in a Haystack, in Montrose) I happened to be in Long Beach a few months ago and came across Mari Pat's. But have only been able to go the one time.
I started stitching in had on my new Camelot's Rose Needlebook because I didn't have a small hoop and the R & R I'm using is stiff. Seems pretty natural, but I think it helps to have the firmness of the fabric. Thanks for commenting!!
Oh thank you! I've got a notebook to jot down all these great ideas. I'm loving the search for awesome shops with the supplies I never knew I needed before Flosstube!
I love your FlossTube videos. Your enthusiasm is so infectious!!! I am a Christian also and I love that express that in your FlossTube videos. I also think you are very brave to jump in so fast with making videos, but your ideas are outstanding and I’m glad you jumped in so quickly. I’m in the middle of downsizing the items in my house, but I found it extremely difficult to “downsize” any of my cross stitch collection. With saying that you have sparked within me some ideas I wish to start working towards. Thank you! Here is one of my favorite verses. Isaiah 41:10. May God Bless You. I have subscribed your channel.
Oh, what a great verse!! I just looked it up, cause I never seem to remember the book and chapter, but that verse is also in my notebook. When I was homeschooling we memorized it and had a fun way of standing and holding our right hand up in a warrior stance when we did!! So glad you found me and shared your encouragement!
Oh thank you! What an encourager you are!! I sure need it, cause it can be scary to start the videos, but after the first few minutes I can't seem to stop talking!
Your adorable and all your sharing and exuberance brings so much Joy! Love your verse and that you shared it today! Look forward to seeing your finish next time, and congratulations on your project bands you did a beautiful job on them!, I want to make a box project like yours, you have me all hepped up and ready to play along with your idea!! It will make a wonderful gift for my stitching buddies! I’m off to find your quilting video !
Your project bags are great. I don’t sew much and not that complicated so I just use the zipper vinyl ones. But they work. One day maybe treat myself to a nice one. I rather spend the money I have on stitching stuff LOL needle books are great too. orts stands for old raggy threads. Thanks again.
I’m loving the simplicity of these bags, and yes, I agree I would rather spend the money on patterns, thread and fabrics so I enjoy making my own bags. Sometimes I feel like an ORT!
I am sew enjoying your videos! I am a handquilter, as well as a cross stitcher and have tastes in fabric similar to you...dark and cozy. 😄 Your energy is infectious! I look forward your videos...both quilting and Flosstube!!
I know!! I can't believe how many other passionate stitchers are subscribing and watching ME!! It is such a blessing and makes me so amazed. I love sharing my stories and my love of stitching and I also love watching others, so I guess there's alot of us out there!!
Your Liberty Gathering Gray fabric is by R&R Reproductions. They are based in Virginia Beach and own the stitching shop Dyeing to Stitch. They also have retreats.
I added that to my little tag on the fabric. Thank you so much for identifying it. So, I do have a few pieces of R & R then. I've heard so many lovely comments about their linen and the need to gather while we can with the challenges of stocking and shipping.
"ORT" is a french anachronim that means "bits and bobs" or "old ratty thread". Like R.S.V.P. One of my favorite stitchers said she leaves her orts out for birds to use in their nests, I love that idea. I love fall as well, I love spring, Christmas is my favorite holiday. I've paused your video so many times to look up two of the books you shared, I ordered "Stitches, sewing organizers" by Aneela Hoey, now I will need to rewatch to make sure I didn't miss anything. Thank you for the verse, I'm loving your video's. All both of them. 😄 Blessings, 🐝
What a treat to read all your lovely thoughts!! Glad you enjoyed checking out all the books and things I shared. Now that I finished the project bags, I want to graduate and work on Aneela's awesome projects. So glad you found your way into my Sewing Room!!!
Just found you today and love your variety of projects! I stitched in the 80’s and 90’s, put it down for awhile, picked it up in the early 2000s, put down for another stretch, then picked back up a few years ago and have been a stitching maniac!
I hear you on the stitch maniac!! I'm so tired after a long day working and I just want to get a little stitching done! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!
I am so glad I discovered you on floss tube! I was an avid stitcher back in the 80s and 90s. Got busy with raising my 2 children and never thought I would p iij ck it up again. I then got into quilting .Jo Morton, civil war repro. fabrics are my favorites. 2 years ago I was quilting in my sewing room and tripped over an ex tree tension cord and broke my left arm in 2 places. After a 7 hour surgery I knew it would be quite some time before I would be able to piece quilts again. I thought maybe I could cross stitch because I am right handed. I originally was a stitch in hand girl but had to use a hoop and just let it more or less just lay across my arm to stitch. I discovered floss tube and God along with these 2 things got me through that ordeal. I look forward to your cross stitch and quilting videos!
What a challenge! That must have been hard to work through. I'm so glad you found the lovely community of FlossTube and the marvelous joy of God in your life. You certainly are choosing Joy Nevertheless! I'm looking forward to getting to know you better through these videos and comments! God bless you!!
Thank you! Since I got my threads out, it has really gotten me excited about doing more embroidery as well as cross stitch. Man, wish I didn’t have to sleep! I just love stitching and playing with my floss, fabrics and how I feel when I create. I so appreciate your watching and commenting!
Thank you! I think that's the marvelous thing about Flosstube. Ladies sharing little tricks and encouragement to help us move along towards a stitching goal! Glad I can be an encouragement!!
Just found you today!! 😃 My goodness I love all your energy. Welcome to the stitchy world, it's SO wonderful. Very nice to meet you, until next time. God bless.
Shepard’s needle in Little Rock AK had RR. I got it to start Anniversaries of the Heart by Blackbird designs. LOVE the hardwicke hoops! Got mine from Hoop and Frame. Still trying to find the key to seeing better. I’m at 3.25 cheaters and not much help. Thanks for your video! I too have come back to XS after giving everything away and selling a few things☹️. Live and learn!
I put the store on my list and will definitely check it out! I was a bit bummed after thinking of what I gave away, but it hasn't kept me from getting more stuff! I just love the new linens and I never used them before. Did you see my FlossTube #3 where I showed my perfect stitching set up? There's an amazing and affordable magnifying light that I got on Amazon for $40 and lots of other ladies say they are loving it as well. Really made my eyes happy!
Ort means food scrap. I don't know who started applying it to thread scraps, but it is now the common term for those small leftover pieces of thread. I have seen people come up with various anagrams as definitions, but they are all made up. Ort is a perfectly good SAT word, so I get annoyed when people make things up. Welcome to Floss tube. Best, K
Ditto what Desiree below me said! You sound so much like how I feel! When I get into a craft I go all out! I love project bags and organizing. I love fabrics and flosses and quilting and embroidery and cross stitch and punch needle and...and....and.....and I have more hobbies than just needlework, too. I love my stash as much as I love my crafts. I inherited my love of crafting and stitching from my Mom and her Mom. I also inherited my maternal grandmother's fabrics and some UFO's of a variety of types. I also love that you have appreciated handmade items from a young age. I love your "joy nevertheless" motto. I very much appreciate your declaration of your faith and testimony. I am also a Christian, and I don't know how those who don't look to God make it through each day. Thank you so much for sharing!
Beth Gibson I missed your comment, but I’m glad I found it now, I love your sweet encouragement and am so glad we’re Sisters in Christ. We can do all things because he gives us strength! Yes! You’re just like me with all our wonderful hobbies and treasured collections. I had a friend over last night and oh, it was so fun to share all my stitching projects with her and she flipped over the project bags! I’m going to help her learn how to make them with her four daughters. Then, they can have that sewing skill to try all types of projects.
Check out That's so Kelly she created Bitzy Bobs and has that info on her channel and sells them in her Etsy shop in addition to her project bags. Also, there are you tubes how to make the thread catchers ORT is Old raggedy threads
OH, someone else commented about a favorite gadget called Bitsy Bobs, but I didn't find a good idea of what it was. I've got that on my list now. I need to check out those video DIY for thread catchers....I'm having so much fun making the project bags, that now I want more little accessories to go with them.
You are so welcome! I'm so glad I decided to do that. I've been praying for God to show me how I can be a blessing and do what He wants me to do! I'm so glad you joined me in this video and hope we get to know each other better as the videos go on. God bless you!
#1-Thank you for sharing your faith! God Bless you! In the 80s & 90’s I Crosstitched, From 1999 to 2007 I was in into quilting, now I’m back to cross stitching and things have changed so much (for the better). I will probably watch all of your videos because we have the same taste in decor!
Nice video Bonnie, and your project bags are beautiful. Brenda of Brenda and the serial starter channel says “buy all the blackbirds” (charts). Are you going to get the spring one to go with the others?
I’m still uploading this week’s Quilting video, but there are 4 already on my Log Cabin Stitcher channel page. I also have them in a separate playlist if you click the PLAYLIST tab. I’m glad you are up to watching more!
You remind me that I have a ton of fabric and that I should make my self a few projects bags. Instead of buying them, save more money to spend on patterns and cross stitch fabric. I hope you stay safe. Catch up with you soon and I did subscribe. 😊
You can do it! You should (OR MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T!) see the amount of fabrics I've got on the floor of my fabric closet as I've auditioned fabrics for the bags I made yesterday. I think I got 5 done. The challenge of being a scrappy quilter, is that all my fabric chunks tend to be small. I now have quite a stack of future project bags and some other projects from the Stitched book by Aneela Hoey I shared in that video. So glad you found me and I'm hoping to get my next video with all my sweet bags up this weekend.
Oh, I haven’t heard of any of those shops. Thank you so much for the suggestions! I’m enjoying checking out new places and supporting these small businesses. I’ve got them on my list now!
Oh, that's funny. I just watched Olivia at Pumpkin Hollow Quilts and I believe that's the store that is close to her and she shared about how wonderful it was. I'll see if they have an online site to visit.
Leona, thank you for your suggestions! I need to keep those two places on my list to go back to again. I've gotten fabric on fat Quarter Shop and now see there is lots in the cross stich area there as well as videos. Oh, so much to check out!
There are some much better quality zipper suppliers online. Hobby Lobby is a misogynist company, and I refuse to shop there. Your project bags are very nicely done! Please don’t generalize about actors. There are good and bad people in every profession, and I’ve met some horribly racist people that were also stitchers/crafters, so they aren’t all good either. We just have to surround ourselves with kind people that want to make the world a better place, and that includes people from all religions, not just Christianity.
I am a new stitcher & am enjoying your motivation. Please keep sharing your faith & scripture!!!
What a joy to have you say that!! I appreciate your encouragement!
Wow.... you are a fresh Bouquet 💐 & are lovely to listen to..,
Love your quilts... you’ve stirred up my desire to pick up lap quilting, again. ♥️
I have a pair of hand stitched 🧵 Amish dolls, boy & girl gifted to me from this family... treasures...
Look forward to your next video.,
Blessings ~ 🌷
Sharon Ann C. I’m sorry I missed your comment before, but I treasure it now! I’m so glad I could inspire you to get your quilt project going again. I love that your Amish friends helped you learn. I love that phrase of Hands to Work, Hearts to God. Thanks so much for watching and joining me in my sewing room to hear my stories!
ORT: Old Remnants of Thread!
Put in any kind of container...to put all your sorts thru the year!
Yes, that's a fun thought. Someone said Neice Lynn has a jar with all her threads to remember her past projects. Fun idea!
Thank you. I will be attached to my laptop catching up
Thank you for sharing your faith💜 Love your videos 💜
Regina Holloway You’re welcome! I’m so glad you found me!
That purple bag is gorgeous!!!!
Ahhh!! I love hearing that!!! Thank you so much and I'm so very glad you found me!! God is good!!
I am enjoying your flosstubes...thank you for sharing...
What a great idea to stitch by FaceTime. Almost as good as a Quilting Retreat!
@@logcabinstitcher7274 Yes, we really enjoy our time to stitch "together". Gives me something to look forward to every week.
Oh!!!! I love that you want to Binge on my stories and my stitching journey!! Hurrah. Thank you so much for watching!
Really enjoying both your videos ...
So glad! Thank you for watching!
Love ya. All my favorite projects.
Great job. Really envy. Can’t wait for next week
Love your little wren ... love all the items you have made 💕💕💕
AnnMargaret Doran Thank you! I’m so glad you joined in with the video and your sweet comment!
We have similar tastes
I attend the Road to California every year, will be sad if it doesn’t happen this year.
You might want to watch Flosstube... Country Stitches. Deb uses a hoop, but I don’t remember what the brand name is.
I'll watch more of Country Stitches videos. I'm really enjoying seeing the different ways other stitchers find to make life and stitching easier. Thanks so much for watching!
Try tea and coffee dye for your light colored linen. The direction are on floss tube😀. Love your vide0. And I am a follower. Mary
My goodness what a variety! And you did remind me o Shanda’s beautiful work.
Isn't that amazing how we gravitate to others that we have similar tastes with. Shanda was the one who got me falling down this lovely Rabbit Hole of crossstitch and now videos. Thanks so much for watching!
A little joy and kindness go a long way to make each day better.
No worries about where you respond!! I'm always glad for the tips. We gotta help each other out! Thank you.
I feel like I'm watching myself. Christian, ADD, quilter, cross stitcher, bird lover (although I'm a cat lover as well)?! I'm a follower!
Amen to that
Really enjoying your videos!
Log Cabin Stitcher this community is pretty amazing.
So excited to get to know you. I use Pat Carson needles, as they are easier to thread. Learned from Priscilla and Chelsea. Hugs
Oh thank you! I hadn't heard of Pat Carson needles until these comments! I'm going to have to get some and give them a test drive!!
You are so enthusiastic and I just live watching you.
Ahh Thank you! I do have a passion for my stitching and it just spills out!
Glad you love the pumpkins as well! Yes, Vonna is fun and so informative. A good teacher. I'm learning so much from her about lacing right now.
Enjoyed #2! I, too, cross stitched years ago and am back at it wholeheartedly! So much has changed...just love it! Thank you, too, for sharing a Bible verse at the end...till next time...happy stitching!
You are so welcome and I'm so glad you found me. I value the encouragement!
My favorite Ort is Neice Lynn’s a flosstuber. She has a small clear glass container where she puts her threads and as she sees the threads she recalls her past projects. Sweet.
Love that idea. Neice is such a kick!!
Really enjoyed your video. Looking forward to the next one !
I appreciate that soo much!
I enjoyed your video and your excitement for cross stitching! You are so talented. Thank you for sharing about your faith. I am a believer also 😊
Gram Gram Stitcher How wonderful! Sisters in the Lord! I’m looking forward to getting to know you better with more videos and comments! Thank you for watching,
A stitcher in Southern California!!! ME TOO! I'm North of Burbank. I didn't know there was a shop in Upland. I shall need to make a trip!
Yes, you're close. What needle shops do you know of in the area????
@@logcabinstitcher7274 I do most of my shopping online. My local shop closed (Needle in a Haystack, in Montrose) I happened to be in Long Beach a few months ago and came across Mari Pat's. But have only been able to go the one time.
thehobbyholic Darn! I know the little Montrose area where the shop was and am sad to hear they closed. When I saw it last, I wasn’t a stitcher.
I use a spring tension embroidery hoop from joannes. Very light weight and easy to use. I also do some stiching in hand.
I started stitching in had on my new Camelot's Rose Needlebook because I didn't have a small hoop and the R & R I'm using is stiff. Seems pretty natural, but I think it helps to have the firmness of the fabric. Thanks for commenting!!
Byannie.com has fabulous zippers. And all the supplies for bags. Your videos are fun to watch!
Oh thank you! I've got a notebook to jot down all these great ideas. I'm loving the search for awesome shops with the supplies I never knew I needed before Flosstube!
Great haul love 💕 everything. Enjoyed watching your video have a great day and happy stitching 🧵😊❤️🤗
Thank you so much!
Fun!!!!
Bonnie you are such fun😊I love a Happy person. You are a great floss tuber already. Enjoyed this so much.
I think I’m going to love watching you!!! Amazing amazing amazing
Ahh, a Kindred Stitcher!! So glad you found your way into my Sewing Room and that you're enjoying my stories and share my love of stitching!
Great progress on your WIP! You have some great haul also. Blessings
Good first video! I look forward to seeing more. ORT is old ratty threads. They are snips of thread. I use a Hardwicke wood hoop. I like them.
Vicki Kesler What a funny name ORT is! I kept thinking each letter stood for something. Intriguing!
Another beautiful quilt behind you! I love your excitement.
Thank you so much!
I just touch the iron on the fold in JoAnn zippers and it’s gone. Yay!! An FFO. Exciting.
I'll try that!! My eye keeps going to that little hump in the zipper. Thanks for your tip and also for spending time with me through the videos!
Love you energy and excitement! I love quilting also, can't wait to see yours. Welcome.
Thank you!!! I'm so thrilled to have this lovely audience of ladies who love the things I love!
Joy Never the less, yes yes yes, thanks. And God Bless you.😊
I love your bags..talented in many crafts!..so you want 500 subscribers..wow look at the number now!
Blessings, 🐝
I look forward to seeing your embroidery! Thank you so much for your video! ❤️
Thank you! Since I got my threads out, it has really gotten me excited about doing more embroidery as well as cross stitch. Man, wish I didn’t have to sleep! I just love stitching and playing with my floss, fabrics and how I feel when I create. I so appreciate your watching and commenting!
Love all your projects and makes me feel like I can do them too! 🥰
God bless.
You are just wonderful! So uplifting and inspiring! I’m looking forward to both of our videos!
Thank you so much!
That thread Faded Roses is beautiful 😊I’m going to look for that.
I’m always looking for fabric. I love Kittenstitcher, Sassy Jacks.
You will love the next 2 Scattered Seeds projects too. I love Tammy Black’s charts. I got the Remember Me one this week.
I got mine too! I'm thinking of changing the flowers to a variegated pink. I just love the little wrens!
Best, K
Whoo Hoo! The perfect explanation for the weird word ORT. Thank you!!!
Call Dyeing to stitch in Virginia. That is where R and R is dyed. They are in Virginia.
Wendy Dicranian oh, I’ve heard that name... Dyeing to stitch. Now I know what it is. Thanks and I appreciate you watching!
#floss-stitchers at Fat quarter shop and Lori Holt does stitching in hand.
I so enjoyed your video! You did a great job and your work is beautiful! Thank you for reading the bible verse! God bless
That is awesome! I'd love to have your company as I share stories! How fun!!
Nice video Bonnie, and your project bags are beautiful. Brenda of Brenda and the serial starter channel says “buy all the blackbirds” (charts). Are you going to get the spring one to go with the others?
Janet D oh my goodness.....didn’t know there was a spring one......time to start searching! Thank you!
Bonnie, I think I was incorrect about the spring chart. I’m not finding anything. Sorry.
Janet D I was checking as well and didn’t find anything. Hey, thanks for getting back on that.
Do you already have the quilting videos up? I would love to see those too since I also share your quilting passion
Joy nevertheless
Have you tried Hobby House Needleworks, GaRon Stitchery, or The Attic?
Oh, I haven’t heard of any of those shops. Thank you so much for the suggestions! I’m enjoying checking out new places and supporting these small businesses. I’ve got them on my list now!
Acorns and Threads
Portland, Oregon
Oh, that's funny. I just watched Olivia at Pumpkin Hollow Quilts and I believe that's the store that is close to her and she shared about how wonderful it was. I'll see if they have an online site to visit.
Hello my name is Leona. Fat Quarter Shop or Fire Poppies has lots of fabric and floss.
Leona, thank you for your suggestions! I need to keep those two places on my list to go back to again. I've gotten fabric on fat Quarter Shop and now see there is lots in the cross stich area there as well as videos. Oh, so much to check out!
Ort means old ragged thread in my world
ORT- OLD RATTY THREADS
What a funny word!! Sometimes I feel like an Ort, too!
🦉🕊️❣️🛎️
Ort means small scrap
Check out Thats So Kelky youtube what's a Bitsybobs. Love your youtube .
