- Here is a drone visit to the beach in Avon NC and the Ferry Docks in Hatteras NC.
The season is ramping up and looking to be a busy one.
Excuse the jerky movements in the Hatteras part of the video. The
GPS on the drone is malfunctioning. (Looks like I need another Drone.😉🤞)

Awe man, that's a shame that the drone is acting up in the first part of the video. It's such a gorgeous area. The horizontal tilt is off too. The second part is nice though. Perhaps a IMU, Compass, and (it wouldn't hurt) Gimbal recalibration are needed.
I agree, I bought this one about 6 months ago when the last one went down in the ocean by the Jennette's pier in Nags Head NC. I procrastinated doing the complete update and calibration. It's on the list for this weekend.
While flying it keeps going into "atti mode" by itself. I'll keep you posted. Thanks

@@DavidLorenzoFlorida it’s a phantom 4 pro Obsidian. I like it a lot. You can see it longer and further due to the color.

My favorite part of the world, go a few weeks out of the year at least! Am about to get a DJI Mini2 and the geofencing has a teeny strip along the beach.... Can you fly over it or just get permission. Thanks and great video!
The beaches are part of the National Parks Service. As long as you are not on park property you can fly over it. Thought the NPS will try to disagree, the FAA controls the airspace, not them.
@@Altitude12 Wondering if the DJI geofence stops you from crossing, couldn't imagine it would.
@@mlipping It does not. There is an unmanned airport in Frisco. You'll need to unlock when you are near there.
@@Altitude12 Thanks man, should be getting my Mini 2 today or tomorrow, I'm in DC so going out a bit to check out the river way upstream. The C & O Canal has a similar teeny strip, that'll be first test. Dear friends live in Frisco, I've walked along beach to Hatteras Lighthouse, that's a long walk!
@@mlipping Mavic mini will do well. You’ll like it. I have a Mavic air for the fun stuff. I fly in the phantom 4pro for everything else.
When flying, always remember the FAA as president over any air space you’re in.
