Supposedly don't make an essential oil for what you want. How do you get the scent then.
WOW! Your kitchen is very large and beautiful. I like your video. Where did you get the scale and that white clip?
Hey Red! I purchased the scale and chip clips at Target : )
Can't hear anything with this music much more loud than your voice :(
Can you turn up the music a bit more. I can't hear you
Could you use perfume as subsitute for the essential oil?
Hi! There are an abundance of fragrance oils you can choose from at online specialty stores. These oils are designed specifically for candles. I wouldn't use perfume as it can be a flammable substance. Check out some of yummy scents here: www.candlescience.com/fragrance/all-fragrance-oils
quick question say you have a smaller or larger jar how do you determine how much wax to melt.
To determine how much wax you will need, you will first need to decide on what container you want to use. Next, you'll want to decide how many candles you want to make. Here's the basic formula:
(ounces of wax per container) X (number of containers) = (ounces needed)
(ounces needed) ÷ 16 (ounces in 1 pound) = (pounds of wax needed)
For example, let's say you wanted to make 25 candles in 8oz candle tins.
(some tin/jar sellers tell you the wax weigh line. This line indicates the weight of wax that will consume space up to that line). You could also fill a mason jar with wax to the line you wish it to be filled to and then weigh the wax in ounces. The wax weight to fill line is 4.8oz.
4.8 x 25 = 120
120 ÷ 16 = 7.5
In this example you would need at least 7.5 pounds of wax to make 25 8oz candle tins. It is always a good idea to round up this number. It's always better to have a little wax left over than to not have enough!
@3:15 what did she say
this was very helpful for me but can you use the crisco oil for the wax and the scented fragrances.
Hi Ingrid! I'm not sure about the crisco oil for wax but you can use the scented fragrances. xo
Hi Ingrid hope you're okay?
Can i go to the craft store for any of these items?
For some yes, but I recommend checking out candlescience.com Might save you a trip:)
well
good video but music much too loud and could hardly hear you.
does the essential oils contain bad chemicals? or is natural scents?
Hi Nallely! Choose clean essential oils. My favorites suppliers are do TERRA and Young Living.
How do you add color??
Perhaps for coloring??
Hey Mitchell, you can add colored blocks/chips or concentrated liquids. Check out this link to purchase candle dye. I LOVE their products. Let me know if you have any other questions : ) www.candlescience.com/color
Mitchell Hunter kkkk
I want mines different colors?
Get candle dye. $1.00 for a block that will color 20 pounds of wax.
Can you use vanilla extract instead of fragrance oil?
Vanilla extract has alcohol in it, which is flammable. I don't recommend using it.
Vanilla extract may contain alcohol which is NOT ideal. I suggest using essential oil OR candle fragrance which you can purchase from candlescience.com
can i use perfume to replace the essential oil ?
I wouldn't recommend this. Perform may have alcohol which is less than ideal. You could, however, purchase candle fragrance oil as an alternative.
@@wellnestacupunctureholisti7564 thank you !!!
I think she needs to talk louder and tone the music down a bit ...😬
hello tara, I hope all is well with you. I love the video. but I have one question, a simple question actually lol but how did you make the labels for your candles?
Hi QP 84: Yes, the labels were designed in photoshop and printed through www.stickeryou.com/2
I created my labels on StickerYou.com : )
