I cannot wait to get started!
How much wax vs scent did you use in the video? I think I remember seeing 3 tablespoons but not clear on wax amount. 😊
Normally you use 1 oz of oil per 1 pound of wax
Maya is spot on. I personally use more than most, I use 1.5 to 2 oz of oil per pound of wax.
I love the way you made the candles your very upbeat I enjoy that. There was no site where I could buy your products do you think you could put it on the public comments so people could see. Thank you and have a great day 🧚♂️🧚♂️
Thank you for the kind feedback! Yes, major mistake not posting the link to my site initially. DOH! I made the video and honestly had other projects that I forgot to post the link to my Etsy. I had no clue how many views I had and questions over the last few years. My bad! I sell the kits at my retail location in Huntington Beach, so all seemed fine to me because I was getting orders through other avenues. So sorry! If you are still interested, you can find them here:

Cheers!
How much was is in the jug that you add 3tbsp of scent too. Please. And what's the mix of coconut and soy?
Sorry for the delay, I'm sure you have figured out the answer by other tutorials. I use 1.5 ounces (3 tablespoons) of oils to 16 ounces (1 pound) of wax.
I use 1/2 Coconut 1/2 Soy
Very good video I subscribed to you can’t wait for more videos just found you today
Hi April! Sorry for the delayed response. I will be more consistent with videos! Thank you for the feedback! Be well.

I found a great tutorial online for making candles: HootCandle.club
I recommend you check it out.
Great video! It was easy and fun to watch. Wondering about the kit and measurements.
Hi Tiffany! Sorry for the delayed response. Would you like specific measurements for making (2) 10 oz Candles, or what comes in the kit?
....and thank you for the kind feedback! :)
You make it look so easy!!
Thank you Karmen, it actually is quite easy once you get the hang of it. Thanks for the kind feedback!
Do you always make white candles rather than coloured?
Yes, I only make white for my own companies. However, I have done private label candles for others that are different colors.
omg love your video, you are so real !!! I need to stock up on wine, lol
Travail bien fini bravo
Merci beaucoup!
hello Casey Murray I love your hard work. what if you don't have a melting pot for the wax
Hi Marisa! Sorry for the delay in response. You'll want to invest in one, You can certainly use another pot, but it won't have the small pour feature, that makes it easy to put your wax into your choice of container... think of a gravy boat pourer...
You're so hilarious😭😂! Thanks for the video!
LOL! Thanks... I like having fun! Sorry for the late response, I was off RUclips for a few years dealing with that game called LIFE! Haha! I'm back though. Be well and CHEERS!
Just seeing this..enjoyed it, I will try to add my FO at 160° I make soy candles. Loved the whole "oh look more wine" 😂😂 cute video.
Thank you! And, I'll keep you posted on the pillar wax question! Here is my email if you have any additional questions! positive@positivethoughtbrand.com
Take care!
I just came across this video. Do you have another video about how to make your labels for different containers?
Thanks
You have an awesome personality.
Thank you for the kind feedback!
Hi! I was told every candle maker's methods are different unless you have the exact same products. I was instructed to add fragrance oils before the flashpoint of each oil(find what yours are) and also based on what type of wax and wick. Ex: I use soy wax from bulk apothecary and was told to heat to 185F and add my fragrance oils at that time and pour at 125F-130F. Or risk poor scent throw.
Sherita Hurst how is your hot throw coming out? I've tested many types of wicks and can't get them to throw for anything. I use soy wax as well.
Flashpoint are only important when shipping and if the oils are near an open flame. You do not need to pay attention to them when adding oils to the heated wax.
Standley Handcrafted false, so very false. Any heat higher than the flash point will cause the oil to burn off. Yes even melted wax! And let me tell ya, it's horrible smelling when it happens
Sherita Blair I had so much trouble getting a good heat throw from going by directions so I started watching vids. A lot of people say to add the fo much lower like 130 ish. Have you had any success ?
Great video! And you look great !
Love it, especially the wine!
Sorry for the delayed response, thank you! Yes, wine! :)
Hi Casey! Luv your tutorial! Can you tell me how much wax did you use for the 3 TBSP oil?
Yes plz tell
Looks like 2 lbs of wax
@@lovespell1982Sorry for the delay, I'm sure you have figured out the answer by other tutorials. I use 1.5 ounces (3 tablespoons) of oils to 16 ounces (1 pound) of wax.

Hi
I was thinking about making candles. You make it look so easy. Does everythung come in the candle kit?
I have lots of essential oils for the candles. How much do home made candles sell for?
Thanks
Hi Janice! Yes, everything comes in the kit. www.etsy.com/shop/PositiveThoughtBrand
where do you buy all the supplies? How were you heating the wax in the tin container? Thanks
I use a lot of different resources for products but take a look at a couple of my recent videos you will see a few of the resources I use. My favorite is General Wax in North Hollywood. Let me know if you have any other questions. Be well, and CHEERS!

Hi Cheesy Cheese burgers! What a fun name! I love me a Cheesy Burger! I'll be positing more videos soon. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
in tried mine with soy wax and i used vanilla fragrance oil mixed with mango, but the fragrance didnt come out well. i also added color. pls help me?
Do you remember what heat temp you added the fragrance oil? And what type of wax are you using?
Can I melt plain white candles an add colour an fragrance
Hi Salina! Yes, you certainly could but make sure you check the temperature of the melted wax before you add any fragrance or essential oil. Check the flashpoint based on the fragrance and or essential oil you are using. Hope that helps.
Question if you're using pillar wax what is the temp to add FO and color? Pillar wax hardens a lot faster than regular soy wax, so what's the best temp for that? Also I thought stirring was suppose to be slow and not super fast as you're doing?
Thanks
Hi Jennifer, I am not an expert at all when it comes to Pillar wax. I've strictly stuck to container candles. I'll ask next time I am at General Wax picking up supplies.
Loved the video. I need one of those kits please 😁
Hi I saw the video but am not seeing any answers as to where to buy the full kit
Hey Casey I'm interested in the soy coconut blend. Did you purchase the blend or did you make it yourself. I'm a second year college student and would appreciate your help on how to get the way blend. Thank you!!!
Hi Randy, sorry for the delay! I personally blend a mix of C-3 Soy & Ultra Wax Coconut-Soy Blend. I'll post the link for my distributor. I'll post a video this week with the ratio for a visual.

Hi Casey. My name is Lisa. I'm on my hubby's phone I am new to candle making and I just started my business March of last year. I want to know where you purchased your 10 oz candle tins.
Hi Lisa! I am so sorry for the delay. I honestly forgot about the video I posted about the candle making kits. I use Paper Mart for my tins. Good Luck, and if you have any other questions, let me know! My most recent videos are talking about supply resources if you'd like to take a look. I will be posting weekly now.
you have inspired me 💜
3 tbsp of fragrance to how much wax did you do?
Sorry for the delay, I'm sure you have figured out the answer by other tutorials. I use 1.5 ounces (3 tablespoons) of oils to 16 ounces (1 pound) of wax.
where do you get the popsicle sticks with the holes in them? And how much are the tin candle i would love to purchase some of them from you. Your tutorial is AWSOME
You can buy popsicle sticks at target and drill holes in them. That's where I bought mine.
Cynthia Shine you can make your own by buying a wood burning tool from hobby lobby. That’s how I made mine. Loved it.
Great video! How do you make your labels? I have a silhouette and the paper labels aren’t really working very well. Any suggestions?
Sorry for the delayed response. I'm sure you probably have found a solution, but I like to use Avery Templates, you can go to their site and download, super easy.
I love your video ... Having a glass of wine makes it more fun ...
Thank you so much Marthina! Yes, wine does make it a little more adventurous! Thank you for the note. Cheers!

Hello, are you using scent or essential oil ?
Sorry for the delayed response. I use both. Sometimes I use 100% Essential, sometimes 100% Fragrance, and sometimes I combine to make custom scents.
Hi Casey, GREAT video! Can you let me know where i can purchase this kit?? Thanks and continued success, cant wait to get started! The wine is a bonus! :)
Hi Edna! Thank you for the kind words! Sorry for late response. You can buy the full kit on my site: www.etsy.com/shop/PositiveThoughtBrand
Or you can but individual materials from one of my favorite suppliers: www.candlemakingsupplies.net
Cheers!
Thank you for ur reply even if it was 2 years when I posted this question! 🤣🤗 I’m a current chandler now and I love it! Continued Success Always!
where do you make your labels ?
Do you ever get sink holes in your candles? & if so, how do you fix them?
Usually melt a little extra wax, so you can top them off and fill in the sink holes , leveling them off.
Sinkholes are most commonly from pouring too hot. I made a video showing how they happen and how to fix them.
The only way to reduce and possibly eliminate them is to pour at the lowest temperature you can. Sinkholes develop as the wax shrinks while cooling so the cooler you can pour will help.
What Standley Handcrafted said... pour at a lower temp. If it still happens I use a heat gun to melt the top multiple times to fill the sink hole and level off the top. You want to make sure you do this multiple time to ensure the sink holes have been taken care of.
What’s the benefit of putting something sticky under the metal tab of the wick. Wouldn’t the weight of the wax keep the metal tab in place ?
Unfortunately the metal disk on wicks is not heavy enough. To make sure that the wick stays centered, so the candle will burn evenly, you want to use "wick stickers" or the wax stuff she was using! That way the wick stays centered when you pour, and will be centered when the candle is burned.
Thanks! You seem like a cool person
you do realize the mold sealer is for using on the outside of a mold to hold the wicks in place from the outside, like on pillar molds, right?
Worked fine until I started using stickers, and now I use a glue gun! Thanks for the constructive feedback though! I hope your candle business is thriving! Be well!
I see you have a glass of wine in the background~! Love that! I drink wine while doing all my crafts. I also cook with it.. Sometimes it gets in the food.....tee hee
We won't tell anyone lol

u didn't say where to get the kit?
also where do u get the frosted tumblers from?
I think she got drunk and forgot to put the link on here
So both of these comments are spot on. LOL. Actually I had some life matters happening and never circled back to post the link to buy the kits. I sell them at my retail locations in Huntington Beach, CA & Waikiki. I just forgot about RUclips. My BAD! They are on my Etsy site. Thanks for the feedback and cheers!

What kind of dye is used for colouring candles?
They make candle dyes to use for them. And, that is the best way to color. Crayons clog up the wick. And, food coloring just doesn't really do anything with wax.
hello casey murray how r u going I hope you having a good week did you say you can use any kind of glass and jars for candles or tumble
Sorry for the delayed response. I try to stick to actual candle jars, but I've used canning jars. You would want something heat resisitant it doesn't break while burning. This is a great site for products. Thanks for the feedback, if you have any other questions, let me know! Cheers!
