It would definitely be slow, but its nice that it can use usb-c to charge the battery in a pinch. Definitely gonna try out solar charging!

Bought it today and it’s fantastic, used 10 ah battery to run all the electric in my shed and used it two hours and my 10 ah dropped one bar. I love this thing and for $20 more than the 150 watt and you get lights on it too it’s a no brainer

Now this is a awesome product. I have the 150W device but I think this one have some very cool features I've been waiting for.
I haven’t found the old one very useful. This looks much better. Definitely noticed the noise with the non sine wave and couldn’t run many things due to limited power.
Thank you for a great review as always. There is one more feature that this inverter can do, and that is pass through charging. I use this as a UPS for my electronic devices.

I like the prong protector as you've shown in another vid as well...great upgrade. Like you I'm trying to understand the ratcheting handle but I do like. Gotta tell you I have had we've had so much snow and I'm still loving my EGO snowshovel. Once again...Brooklyn approved! ❤

I think the ratcheting handle is designing to take pressure of any connected leads.

@@TechMadeEzy your channel is not new to me I’ve seen plenty of your videos before. I’m just surprised the other reviewers that review ego equipment like kite army haven’t put out a video. I’m not criticizing that you’re the first one with this version of the escape I’m just very surprised. Usually when a company releases a product many of their product reviewers drop a video.

I have the original and despite only 150w and dirty power, I have used it in many capacities and love it.

Would love to see this tested with a watt meter and watch it run at or about 400 watts for 5-10 minutes. Also an oscilloscope would be nice to see how the sine wave reacts.

Could this act as a UPS? This would be a lifesaver for people with sump pumps when they lose power.
No it can't, but you can use it to power items that use under 400w and have less then a 800w surge. Of course you'd have to have the right size battery for run time. Maybe a 10ah or 12ah battery.
Wish they would make it two sided so you could hot swap for endurance
What is inrush/surge capacity? Efficiency? Actual runtime with 2.5A. (2.5a*56v=140wh) Does it let you under volt high resistive loads?

Bought one and had to replace it it was DOA then got the replacement and ran a fan it worked I ran a toaster it didn't work I ran a tea maker it didn't work I ran a pizzazz pizza maker it didn't work. I ran an ice maker it worked then died. So I sent both duds back now I purchases the Ego power station I hope it works without a hassle if it doesn't I will go with a Bluetti. The power goes out here a lot need something to help.

The 400w inverter powers small devices so the outlet can produce around 3.3 amps 120v
I think it could charge my electric scooter to full charge once with this. What do you think?
The largest EGO battery is 12ah , you would have to see if that will fill it, I believe it’s converted to 12000mah
I’m sure the power pack is under 400w but check that to just to make sure

It definitely makes it easier if you have an issue with your product. If you don’t register them and then you have an issue then you have to call in and then you’re gonna need proof and depending on how organized you are, you might not have proof at that moment, and that can cause an issue with Support

I don't think it has pass through charging but I will have to test that
Why would I spend $150 for a 400w inverter that puts more wear and tear on my expensive, purpose-built batteries? You can buy a 500-watt, pure sine wave inverter for less than that, and pair it with a much larger lithium iron-phosphate battery, which is a far better value than the EGO batteries. For example, the EGO 10AH model lists for $500 and gives you roughly 560 watt-hours worth of capacity. In comparison, you can buy a 100AH, 12.8v, LFP battery and get 1,280 watt-hours of juice to run your stuff. That's more than twice as much usable capacity and it only costs around $300! Products like this are made for people with more money than sense.
Would the 7.5ah batteries still allow for 400w and 800w peak or just the 10/12ah?

anyone know why this product turns itself off after about 2 hours of continuous use? i was using it the other day to power a very small fan (10 watts or so) and after a couple of hours the inverter just shut off.
I looked through the manual and didn't see any info that might cause this. I'd recommend calling EGO to find out 855-346-5656
