- Let's prepare for cold and flu season now! Today I'm making both a tincture and a glycerite with my favorite blend of herbs for supporting someone dealing with a fever or viral infection.

Here is an article the book author wrote with more detail about making a sealed simmer glycerite: stevenhorne.co...
The recipe and instructions I'm using today is from this book (highly recommended for anyone interested in herbal medicine): amzn.to/46jOp3W

Do you do anything special in washing you cloth.
Not really - I usually just rinse it repeatedly and swish it around in some water. I don’t like to use soap to wash this, so I usually just rinse quite a few times and then let it air dry.
What do you use to make labels that have all the ingredients listed?
I don’t always list all the ingredients, sometimes just the recipe name, since they’re for my own home use. I do sometimes use the ball canning dissolvable labels. When I want more detail, sometimes I’ll write it on a piece of lined paper and tape it to the jar - not very fancy, but it works!
@@HomesteadOnAPrayer I didn’t know there are dissolvable labels. I’m going to get some. I use masking tape for labeling but it’s not pretty.
