I haven't been to the NEC since 1980, but the LOVELIEST thing I recall about it was I could just stumble off the train...and voilà...I was...THERE! No faffing about with a taxi from a rail station or parking up in some car park. Been to the IAA in Frankfurt a number of times, and recall all the rubbish of just arriving at the exhibition halls themselves. I parked up in either a multilevel car park close by or took a bus/streetcar from a car park on the outskirts of town. That NEC just beat the heck out so many venues in terms sheer convenience. One train out of Euston station and one back to London. Easy-peezy... That said...what a lovely show! What a beautiful way to spend a whole day! I envy you young'uns; I was always mucking about with 35mm and my manky (I never took care of the leather wrapping on the camera body...it smelled like a miner's boot), old Rollei camera. I really enjoyed looking at these cars!!! Mahalo for taking us along!

Great selection Paul. That bonnet emblem on the Bel Air would have to be called a ‘pedestrian impaler’. 😳 Don’t forget that there is a Restoration Show in March each year. I went to one on a visit from Australia. Another great show at the NEC.
Yet again I missed this show, it just wasn't on my radar and this video, among others, has got it in my diary for next year 👍 Incredible examples of incredible machines! PS: The General Lee wasn't the main reason for watching Dukes of Hazard, at least for me, when I was in my early teens 😜
I love the classic car show, it just sorts you out and reminds you why you do what you do. Everybody just has smiles on their faces. Great day...
