@NawabzadaYT it can be a concern, but statistically 1-2 in 1,000 people do. They're also trying to train to recognize and fix these issues. Still, that's a low number, and you're not really going to be concerned about it once the IV is in. You start feeling good before the actual anesthesia in many cases (I think they give a pre med before entering the OR).
@NawabzadaYT The patient next to me when I had surgery experienced it. He said he has been consuming alcohol daily for 30 years. He's in massive pain but he let the doctors operate on him without extra dosage as it may lead to many complications. That's what doctors told him.

I thought I’d write something as reading other people’s experiences really helped me. I had General yesterday and when I walked into the surgery theatre I was terrified. The lady helping me was amazing and she calmed me down. She assured me that they were going to look after me. I was shaking like mad which I think no one talks about that much! They inserted the cannula into my hand which took a bit of trying because my veins were non existent. When they got the cannula in the anaesthesiologist told me he was giving me the medicine that was going to send me to sleep. At first I felt tingles everywhere and then a metallic taste in my mouth… seconds later I was OUT! Overall it was a comfortable experience and I promise you all its not as scary as you think.
I hope when she wakes up she’s happy and she’s smiling and I hope the doctors can help her and I appreciate all the doctors who to all the things for the patient to make them better

I just went through this yesterday morning during a hysterectomy. I was nervous at first, then when the phlebotomist numbed me through the IV I was relaxed before they took me in the operating room. Best sleep ever. Im home now recovering 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I want to thank the staff letting me know I was in good hands.

I have had tonsillitis surgery at 10 with GA and sinusitis and septum surgery at 20 under local anaesthesia. I don't understand why I woke up in the middle in the first one and had immense unbearable pain in the second. I concluded there could be something like resistance towards various anesthetics too. I was called exceptionally brave too esp through the second surgery by the surgeon himself. It was 5 hours long.
It's basically a time machine. When humanity has the ability to travel among the stars and biology has improved significantly, something like this will be very useful, nobody'd want to wait several years to reach another star system.
A little part of me enjoy the rest I get when I go under I’ve had a couple surgeries due to having fibroids and ovarian cyst removed but she really was fighting falling asleep I fall asleep so fast but they don’t put that breathing mask over my face always just inject something and I’m out . I always appreciate the heck out of the whole team at the hospital ❤❤

@@fazefin2023 usually they inject a relaxing medication first, and after inject the sleeping medication so you're going to sleep smoothly with no consciousness ( this is what they did it to me). All procedure happened like a blink. No matter how long is it.
I had also gone through this general anaesthesia. I was in deep sleep within seconds and had my surgery...didn't feel anything during the process. Its magical.

@@yummy3259 should be a piece of cake. Let em know your concerns and they'll put you at ease. The IV might match the discomfort of a bee sting, no biggie. Last thing I remember I was breathing on the oxygen mask and just focusing on deep breaths. Next thing I know I'm waking up in the recovery room.
No It won't, not with me. I had the exact same" tingling sensations " after I came home from the dentist's office after a tooth extraction. Only I had novocain. Came home, & took an advil on an empty stomach, (BIG MISTAKE! ) 10 minutes later I had the same so -called tingling feeling, & warmth creeping through my body,& face, followed by dizziness. Then everything went a hazy brown/ Grey. I was sure that I had fallen onto the ground.& obviously I had. Long story short, I was taken to the hospital, stayed overnight,& went home the next day. The Dr's were wonderful.& took really good care of me. They explained that I had a hypoglycemia episode. Because I had not eaten all day. Plus, I was pretty dehydrated too. What I'm saying is, that if the anesthesia emmits the same feelings that people describe, that I experienced, I don't want it.😢 I'm supposed to have an upper endoscopy sometime next month. Followed by a colonosopy later that month. So I have EVERY reason to be scared. I've had these episodes in the past so I know what I'm talking about.

@@yummy3259 should be a piece of cake. Let em know your concerns and they'll put you at ease. The IV might match the discomfort of a bee sting, no biggie.
Last thing I remember I was breathing on the oxygen mask and just focusing on deep breaths. Next thing I know I'm waking up in the recovery room.

No It won't, not with me. I had the exact same" tingling sensations " after I came home from the dentist's office after a tooth extraction. Only I had novocain. Came home, & took an advil on an empty stomach, (BIG MISTAKE! ) 10 minutes later I had the same so -called tingling feeling, & warmth creeping through my body,& face, followed by dizziness. Then everything went a hazy brown/ Grey. I was sure that I had fallen onto the ground.& obviously I had. Long story short, I was taken to the hospital, stayed overnight,& went home the next day. The Dr's were wonderful.& took really good care of me. They explained that I had a hypoglycemia episode. Because I had not eaten all day. Plus, I was pretty dehydrated too. What I'm saying is, that if the anesthesia emmits the same feelings that people describe, that I experienced, I don't want it.😢 I'm supposed to have an upper endoscopy sometime next month. Followed by a colonosopy later that month. So I have EVERY reason to be scared. I've had these episodes in the past so I know what I'm talking about.

I can't eat anything as it pains a lot but I am very much sacred what to do now as doctor has recommended me to remove gall bladder after 2 months

I’ve had four major life changing surgeries liver, kidney, pancreas, avg, all the times I went under they gave me relaxation meds through my IV first before putting me to sleep the last surgery when I was giving the anesthesia I didn’t fall right asleep even after counting backwards I was having casual conversation then I woke up three days later in recovery in the icu because my surgery was a organ transplant but I was like damn it seemed like a few minutes but it’s been days...
U were given anesthesia for 2 days😱 did everything go well?

I experienced this once.....1St time saw opration room I was very sacred... but doctor and nurse are so good...after anesthesia its feels relax for me...I couldn't feel any pain during the operation

I just had surgery right after thanksgiving and man that anstesia is no joke I was out in 1 second, I broke my shinbone in 2 places so I had to have a tibia/fibula fixation surgery. Scary asf but glad it’s over
