Hey Guys! Today's video is how I close out my weekly budget for the week in my budget planner. I'm sharing my exact procedure of how I track my expenses, close out my paycheck budget, close out my expense tracker, and set up a new budget for the week. Do you close out your weekly budgets?
Yes, please continue to show how you close out the week. I like your saving tips. Food is ALWAYS a budget buster for me. I feel I am consciously spending everywhere except the food! I just need to increase the amount. I'll tell myself I will cook for the full week and then I'm in a drive thru/carryout 3-4 days out of the week.
How long does this process of recording expenses etc and closing out the weekly budget take you? As inflation continues to surge, as retirees I feel a need to track expenses more carefully.
I'm not sure why, but it never occurred to me to close out my budget on a weekly basis. I have always done it monthly and because there are so many expenses on my tracker, it is a process I dread and many times I skip it! I get paid this Friday, so Thursday night I will be closing out my first week. I always enjoy your videos and tips!
Would love to see a video on how you invest and books or tools you’ve used to help with investing. Would definitely love more videos on closing out the budget.
I love your channel! Your tutorials and walk-thrus have been so helpful as I build my own budgeting plan and tracking methods. And your voice is very relaxing, which really helps when discussing an issue that just lends itself to heightened anxiety.
Thank you very much for explaining the process. I've been struggling to make a budget by trying various method, some are too simple, some are too complicated, I'm too lazy to try. I'm giing to try and use your method. This is very helpful. Thank you.
I spend most of my money on food as well lol it's definitely worth it though 🤤 I love how simple and straightforward your method is 👌🏼 So glad I came across your channel, keep up the good work! 💕
Love your videos! Can you do a video on how to close out the monthly budget? This is my first month with your planner and before now I really didn't close out my budget at the end of the month but now I want to know how you close it out. Thanks! Also have you thought about using Pilot FriXion Erasable Gel Ink Pens instead of having to use white out correction tape? They come in many different colors and the best part is they are erasable!! I love them. My whole budget sheet would be full of white out correction tape if I didn't use the erasable ink pens!
Hey! Our tithe is 10% of our income that we automatically give. But we also choose an offering to give every time we get paid. It’s something extra that we have decided to give as a family. Usually it’s 2.5% of our income
Do you have a video on the very basics of getting started with a budget? I need super simple basics that I can expand on later, but, if I hit my husband with too much in the beginning he won’t do it with me.
Dear Alaina. I just want yoy to know that I am binge watching your YT videos. I think you should teach at Udemy. I totally support your channel by not skipping ads! Your content is gold and so valuable for people like me getting off track of the monthly budget lol
Yes. We Tithe is based on the biblical principle of giving 10%. Our offering is a free will offering meaning it’s not based on scripture but it’s what we have decided to do as a family. We give 2.5% of our income for our offering.
Our constant struggle? Food combined with miscellaneous purchases like clothing, cleaning or yard supplies (Walmart, Home Depot, Costco etc)? How do you track?
Question: What is the difference between 'tithe' and 'offerings"? And are they deducted (tax) the same? You are a wonderful teacher and a great help in my budgeting. Thank you so much for your videos. God bless you.
Yay. This is just want I was waiting for! Thank you. I have a question though. Why doesn't your expense tracker equal your paycheck budget? Are they separate bank accounts? If so what money do you put into each account. Kinda confused here.
They are separate bank accounts. My paycheck budget is my bills checking account. My expense tracker is my spending checking account. The money in my bill checking account will equal $2250 because that’s the set amount that I move from my business account to my bill account each Tuesday. But since we are on variable income. I usually make more than I budget and that extra money sits in my business account. I move money from my business account to my bill account and my spending account each week. I may need to do a video on how this works.... but hopefully that makes sense
I know that might be a silly question 😞 My husband gets paid biweekly , so how can I close out my monthly budget? I’m a little confused and when I think I understand, I get lost again! 😢😂😖
