That live concert version is absolutely, absolutely incredible. The best parts of the original version with unparalleled new sound. Cooking in my new house & listening to it - what an amazing feeling.
I just wanna get lost in thoughts listening to that song. It's such a great feeling you get when you combine a melody, with personal desires, dreams, or even experiences you've had and felt.
Years ago I did an upload of the movie version with the Tom Cruise and Rebecca De Mornay train ride scene, but RUclips thought that it was too adult and removed it ☹
Certainly the minimalist school that concentrated on rhythm rather than melody would have been influential. Philip Glass/Terry Riley? The repeated cycling of notes, that was the forte of the sequencer, would have come into its own. I suspect minimalists were actually playing repeated riffs or using tape loops before that. ruclips.net/video/hy3W-3HPMWg/видео.html
Saw them perform this just last night. Wonderful show, was really hoping they would play this. If they'd had the guitar solo, it would have been the cherry on top of an amazing evening!
Came to know about this gem from the movie The Babysitter : Killer Queen . In love with this ever since . Thanx for this. It is One of if not the Greatest song/melody ever.
I just wanna get lost in thoughts listening to that song. It's such a great feeling you get when you combine a melody, with personal desires, dreams, or even experiences you've had and felt.
. "When the path ignites the soul, there's no remaining in place." Love on a real train from "Risky Business" takes me places no other song does, it epitomises what the 80's was all about, it takes me back to a simpler magical time. This Is a fantastic version of a truly inspiring song. Well done.
Tangerine Dreaming since I was 18. Now 40. Body and mind change. But the soundtrack stays the same. Risky Business soundtrack still remains the best in film.

A truly awesome rework, but what really makes it for me is the guitar work 5 minutes in. The hard rock theme really gives the track some extra bite! So much so I have that guitar extract on a repeat loop! Just wish both it and the track as a whole was much much longer. Good work anyway!
Did this on mushrooms back in London tube in late 85 .6 .fecking awesome .and friends would be always as when we got back so a party at someone's house please put some tange on the tape deck all these it still is crisp and awesome 😂😂
EXCELLENT TRACK IN MY OPINION !! I WOULD ACTUALLY LOVE TO BUY THIS TRACK SUCH A CLASSIC THEME !! "THE TANGERINE DREAM ARE MASTERS IN THEIR CRAFT , TRULY AMAZING , HANDS DOWN !!!!!!!!!!"
I am here thanks to Mr. Robot. That series never fails to leave these wonderful little surprises for those paying attention. Absolutely gorgeous track. It really brings up the memories of those nightly train rides alongside Mr. LS with a D and its sisters MD and MA. The flickering lights, the tall buildings slowly dancing in the soft breeze, breathing the sounds in our ears, tasting the colors of everyone else's eyes. We, the world, the entire universe, everything and everyone in perfect synchronicity. The subtle joy of merely being alive. Not worrying about the destination, Only that ride, at that instant, at that second. Nothing else matters, nothing else exists. Because we already have everything. Every atom, every being, every planet, Every star, every galaxy, every cluster, every filament. It is all ours... everything that has ever existed. We have it all, and we are not wasting a single quark, Because the curtains have finally lifted, And we can see what happens backstage. We finally know what the Holy Grail really is. Not a cup or a chalice. Not made of gold or silver. No. The Holy Grail is in our own minds. It is not filled with water or wine. No. It is filled with delicious, endless empathy. So, let's make a toast for those who have drank from it. All those who have tasted someone else's pain, And went back for more, and more, and more. All those who had the courage to be someone else, All those who forgot to be themselves. All those who have lived for another being. All those who understand these words with a smile. You are all pure, divine and universal. You are all nothing but the only true, real Gods.
..weiter machen :)
Wolf Malli Yes, absolutely! You can absolutely feel your humanity speaking to your soul showing us how humanity could be if we could come to grips with our dark side. This side soothes that hulk feeling that all humanity possesses. This video shows us what it feels like to be alive.
One of the greatest tunes ever made. That melody is life.
No one can explain it better, there’s beauty and something of life’s mystery in it
"one of the greatest ever made"...you know how many times on Y-Tube we have to hear this...come on !

Music that was so influential and way ahead of its time.
Was a boy of 17 and loved Tangerine Dream, now 59 and the boy still loves Tangerine Dream. Time...grains of sand...oblivion.
Me too...same ages...same love for this exquisite music...the soundtrack to my life.
@@nickpatten5263 Edgar's Stuntman was the one that got me as a kid. Still listen to it as 53 yo.
It was the film Risky Business that led me to Tangerine Dream and I have been a fan ever since.
Has this soundtrack used in any movies?? It's absolutely fabulous and I do not think I've heard this before.
@@marlenewilliams8676 yes it was : Risky Business with a young Tom Cruise.

Eternal peace Edgar. Tangerine Dream are immense and this, for me, tops the lot ❤️
This is still so beautifully dreamy in 2018.So ahead of it's time in '83.
Just been explaining to those who think Chicane did it first, that 'offshore' owes its allegiance to this.
@@templarseries and TD owe Steve Reich as it's largely based on his Music For 18 Musicians - still brilliant though

The future was yesterday
Yes it was. It makes what Kraftwerk we’re doing in the early 70s even more incredible. Truly groundbreaking.
Trance in its finest. A state of pleasure in trance. A place every man would be In if they played this all over the globe even just once
