All The Warning Army knows Ale' doesn't like to sing lead but when Dany is sick or needs a break she will step in and do what is needed and has always done it well. She has a great voice and it is a great treat for all when she sings. Yes we love all 3 sisters but we know when Ale sings it's not for us it's for her sisters and we let her know she did well even more than we let Dany and Pau know we love their singing. I do wish the audio for this was better quality but the performance was great.
When I volunteered to work musical theater at the college I was at for 37 years the director would always tell the singers: "Quit trying to sing pretty! Belt it out!" I think Ale is singing while Dany has the confidence to belt out a song. It's something you learn and Ale has never been really trained as a lead singer. But I love it when Ale does sing!
Recorded on an IPhone unfortunately. Ale steps in for Dany when Dany is not feeling well. She has done this one and "Hunter" occasionally. Not exactly her favorite activity, singing lead, but she actually has a great voice. Right, it is also an experience thing.
I love how she looks over to Dany a few times, probably to help with nervousness. Her confidence slowly progressed in this video and it shows
Thanks! Ale doesn‘t like to sing lead, but she does if necessary to support her sisters when they have a sore throat… she is 15 in this video, this is awesome! She does a great job… it’s very seldom and the fans love it, when Ale sings! 👍⚡️🤘
The song was written with Dany doing the vocals. Ale needs something written with her vocals in mind from the start. There are other songs she sings with a bit more confidence,altho she would rather not sing lead. What ever these ladies decide to do you know it will be rocking out and blowing our minds with fusions of music from different times and genres mashed into awesomeness
It’s indeed a shame we did not get to see Dany because, yes, she was rocking it out.
The same happened (Ale taking over on vocals) in their Mercury NYC shows (2nd night) for a couple of songs, and I was there to witness Dany going nuts on the stage. Nobody knew she was sick, but we knew something had to be up for Ale to sing.
And oh, BTW, in NYC, Ale knock it out of the park !

The Warning are true team players, when one gets sick the others will step up. Just watching Pau play the drums is a show in itself. As you pointed out Ale doesn't sing like dany because she really hasn't had a lot of practice at doing it, if you watch her singing in "The End" from Lunatio, you can hear her angelic voice, IMO. As always, keep them coming.

Nice! Red Hands Never Fade is just after the Queen of the Murder scene has killed her crush. She is faced with blood on her hands. Don’t judge the song by the quality of the video as it is fan shot. Ale is like a utility infielder - she only sings when Dany and Pau need spelling. She hates singing lead. There are only a handful of videos of her singing. Big City Family is a music festival.
True, not the best recording. Also understand, Ale sung this because Dany was a bit sick. I can almost guarantee you she had not practiced it at all, and maybe had a few hours notice, not a few days. Ale has a beautiful, soulful voice, and it's a shame she does not like to sing lead more often. I think you would like this song more if you heard the live version from Lunario CDMX. You can hear all the nuances better. Not my favorite either, but it fits very well into the Queen of the Murder Scene story.
Fair point about Ale .We know that she doesn't like to sing lead , and shows how difficult it is to sing lead , just a lack of practice and experience really , but still a treat for us fans .
Ale sings lead on a song called River's Soul a song on the XXI century blood album.

That's honestly the highest compliment I could ever give anyone when it comes to showmanship. I've never compared any guitarist or bassist to Gene Simmons before, Ale is the very first to receive that distinction from me.

As a KISS fan and a bigger The Warning fan now, I see and love your Gene comparison. I think it is a huge compliment. That is one of the things I love about Ale's performances is that she is so engaging with the audience. I could watch the same concert three time and just focus on each performer and see a completely different concert, although I have to admit that my eye usually drifts stage right.
Believe it or not, that is like the highest compliment I can give to a guitarist / bassist as far as showmanship goes. Gene Simmons is, in my opinion, the greatest rock bassist when it comes STRICTLY to showmanship. Ale is the ONLY person I have EVER made that comparison to, so that is literally the highest praise I could possibly give her on her showmanship.
Ale singing lead is somewhat of a holy grail for The Warning fans. Probably Dany was feeling sick, so Ale stepped in. But everyone wants to hear her sing more. In addition to Hunter, as glengibbs1949 mentioned, she has also sung River's Soul.
As for Pau, she sure does put on a show behind the drums. She has insane multitasking superpauers. She's hilarious in Narcisista, when she's shooing away those pestiferous critics like pesky flies. There have been a couple of times she has been able to front, once with Eruca Sativa and once with Moderatto, when TW opened for them and then joined them for an encore. Pau absolutely stole the show, and Ale looked like she was trying to teach the Moderatto bass player how to move around on stage: ruclips.net/video/5gFynumuB-8/видео.html
This song's no Evolve, certainly. It's one of those songs that, like Survive, I enjoy just because it's good, rousing fun (the lyrics, of course, are another matter -- but they're really good about writing fun songs around dark lyrics).
Really like "Rivers Soul". It just has a totally different feel to it. Hard to describe.
Ale rocks… I love the little Gene comparison 😆. Pau comes across as a front woman even from behind her kit. She’s a natural born entertainer. Great reaction Dave. The song writing to me is really good because I’m aware that this is part of concept album and the story being told here is the Crimson Queen murdered her object of her affection after stalking and actually having him captured and tied down. 🤘😎🤘❤️
well said ABJ! it's how the song sounds in the progression of the story being told. not quite as good as a stand alone song but, great in the total combination.
I don’t think Ale got thrown in with a couple days notice it was a same day notice because Dany got sick and The other two always help out when needed on a moments notice great reaction David good score
Love when Ale sings. It's usually when Dany needs a break or under the weather.
Vary balanced commentary. I think the recording quality really hurts this song and Ale's performance. I do like this song and think it does have a hook quality. (It runs through my head quite often). It perfectly carries the story of Queen of the Murder Scene.

Hi, thanks once more for the great reaction and analysis. There is one thing, that listeners tend to forget and that is Ale's age. She is just coming out of puberty right now and although it is not as apparent as with boys, girls' voices change too. They get up to a minor third lower and that surely makes singing a little awkward, when you lose control over your voice a little. If you check out videos from Dany singing at that age, she sounds pretty similar, always a little insecure and held back. I am sure, this will change with time. Singing lead will probably never be her favorite thing to do on stage, but I bet, when she will have to do it in the future, she will belt out the songs with much more confidence.
Very fair score!! Quite a few of these Ale on main vocals showed up just before they were due to go on the postponed North American tour, and the vocal became more confident as time passed (see her do Hunter). Only a theory, but I suspect Ale was doing this in case Danys voice getting tired on this gruelling tour, same with Pau singing Copper Bullets etc. Just a theory, not truth or fact just a theory before I flamed for suggesting it 👍

Yup, Ale is not known for her vocal genius. She never has been, she doesn't like it, but she will do it if needed. She helps give Dani a break when she needs it. Be it Dani doesn't feel 100% or what have you. Ale still does a good job regardless and that's all you hope your band members can do. :)

You are right, Ale only sings in rare ocasions, this time Dany felt sick and Ale has to sing if I not wrong. Maybe you know by now that Ale don´t like to talk in interviews or in vlogs, somebody ask her if she likes to sing lead and she said she prefers to give interviews.
Yeah David, this was probably a "game time" decision (as they say in sports). Dany usually sings this song (and yes, she sings it better than Ale}, but everyone gets behind Ale when she comes out to sing lead. Also, remember that she is only 15 years old here too. Love the shy smiles that she throws over to her sisters. In a a live show, the most important thing is that crowd has a good time, and I think they enjoyed this.
I see this statement a lot when defending Ale "She's only 15 years old." Have to be careful with such statements because her older sisters were once 15, also. They did their thing and hardly anyone says "remember she's only 15 years old" when Pau was doing great things with singing "Black Holes." What about when Dany was singing lead at 15? Please understand this is not a critique against Ale. I'm just saying her age isn't really much of a defense. I've seen people saying the same with her only being 16. Did that person forget that Pau recorded QOTMS at 16? We looked at her as if she was a goddess. If her older sisters can be great when only a certain age, so can Ale. It's not a slam against Ale. Love her so much and like everybody else I'm big time cheering for Ale. I'm just pointing out her age isn't against her.

David, just curious: I agree with you that this was not the best The Warning song, particularly as a stand-alone piece. But, and my question is, have you considered the "Queen of the Murder Scene" album as a whole. This song does have a very important part in the grand scheme of the story told by the album.
I haven't actually listened to the entire album as a whole, because I don't want to ruin any potential reactions by listening to the entire album. As soon as it's safe to do so, I will definitely listen to the album in it's entirety. As it stands right now though, I can only evaluate the song on it's own merit.
Personally i would probably place this song last in terms of preference on the album , but it's still a very decent song and just shows the strength and quality of the album.
In the future when they have a much richer repertoire I think they will play some QOMS songs during the concerts. Each song will be heard and received for itself, if they were to perform RHNF they would not have to be forced to perform the entire album to give strength to a song. IMO every song has to walk on its own legs. However I understand your point of view.
I like this song and to me it fits in with the overall story. As for the camera focusing on Ale , that’s simply because Ale rarely sings lead and so many videos don’t show her nearly enough, so I’m ok with not seeing Dany.
As you suspected Ale didn’t have much time to prepare, Dany was sick so I’m thinking she might’ve found out she was singing the day of.

Another great reaction/review David! Though singing lead is not Ale`s forte`, we both know singing harmony on pitch is equally demanding if not more. Sound quality isn't great but damn it's Ale singing lead! Nice, sort of a compromise between her sisters' voices. It's not the best song on Queen of the Murder Scene no. But it's a concept album and some songs are the bridge songs. The Wall has those. It might be Dani was ill. That would explain why are was stunt singing. Don't know. Great reaction!
I think her best performance of this song was at The Mercury in NYC. Unfortunately, there is no good quality audio of Ale singing anything. She has complained that this song is very difficult for her to sing because it's so low. She has a hard time getting down there. Trooper that she is though, she continues to sing it when she must.
Actually, according to the girls during their live quarantine show, it's actually The Hunter she doesn't like singing because it's too low for her

she does have a good voice when she has to and singing back up or harmony, but me personally I prefer when she isn't tied to the mike and can just stalk the stage. lots of TWA want her to sing lead more but Im not one of them lol cool reaction bud.
Great is great. No complaints for me. I do love that you pointed out the usefulness of cameraphone microphones being very poor concert recording device. Unfortunately that's the payoff from fan made videos. He's done a LOT of their concert videos and I think other than being short of a good sound quality capture he did great. Also, you'll notice that their audiences love to sing along with the songs as a way of honoring them. If a person is recording in the midst of that it's really going to ruin the audio. So this leads to my only comment about your critique of Ale's singing. You felt you could distinguish enough to form a strong opinion on it? Pretty awesome if you could. I'm not saying you couldn't. I couldn't, but I'm not making videos about it either. Good video.

Thanks for this review. As for the song itself I disagree with you on this. To me it is among their better songs, it's quite catchy I would say.
And what regards Ale's singing I heard her sing a couple of times and you are right, she is obviously not used to it and she is a little nervous when she sings but I noticed that she's always getting more and more confident as the song progresses as she gets more used to it and feeling more comfortable.
Anyway it's great that she goes for it, moreover considering her age and she's fabulous and gorgeous to the eye!!

Hey David I'm guessing this was probably a last minute decision to have Ale sing. Ale will at time take lead singer on a song when Dany is not feeling well usually towards the end of a concert. I think you would probably grade the song higher if the recording quality was better and Dany was singing lead. 👍🏻⚡

You definetly need to listen a second time to this song. It is quite energetic and one of their best, IMHO.

Regarding Ales singing lead i remember Dani mentioning a while ago that " Ale needs to contribute more to the band " which i thought was a little bit harsh .Ale has plenty of time , she may have a change of heart when she gets a bit older , hope so though .

Man I’d know you have your requests and you have to follow a playlist but wish you would do an album review of this album so you can take the story into account on the song writing. To me it’s on par with red headed stranger by willie Nelson
I really wish fans wouldn't send out videos of poor quality. There are so many to choose from that are of high quality (sound wise).
No one is forcing you to watch. Most TWA want to see everything that The Warning has done - even videos that are fan shot and not the highest quality.

I like the song very much. It's a pity that the sound and the video are not the best. We all love Ale's singing but to do justice to the song please listen to the Lunario version!
Ale isn’t comfortable singing lead, and therefore doesn’t work on it very often. Luckily it’s not something she needs to worry about since this band has two capable and willing lead singers already.
What I like about that is Ale happens to have natural smoky tone that’s perfect to fill out a harmony line…and notice how much stronger and more accurate she was during the chorus when Pau joined in. Supporting her sisters is Ale’s comfort zone, and she functions brilliantly in that role. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Ale never singing lead Is the broken thing. It is what prevents The Warning being perfect.
@@carlossaraiva8213 Ale’s sisters are better lead singers than she is. As a very smart musician, she’s well aware of that and knows her role. There’s no logical reason for her to force herself to do it. Honestly, this obsession some people have with Ale singing lead is very strange to me.
@@robsorenson68 no singer, no matter how good, just starts off belting their heads off. Paulina and Daniela had start advantages at being older. If you cant understand why many of us love the idea of Alejandra singing lead to some sings then i dont know what to tell you. Nobody is asking for Alejandra to take over lead vocals duties. Alejandra singing lead in one or two sings like Paulina per album more than suffices. Your (lack of) logic also spplies to Paulina: what's the need of Paulina singing lead in some songs if Daniela is the de facto lead singer of the group. The answer is very simple: because both Paulina and Alejandra are GREAT SINGERS and itvis brilliant to see a group where any of the 3 members are great singers and can easily front a performance. That makes them unique. Thrir voice teachers even said of the 3 Alejandra is the one with the largedt natural range. Tell me if that is not a waste not to make use of it. We are fans of them but that doesnt mean we cant CONSTRUCTIVELY croticise them even if they are our favorites even if we have love and respect for them. Alejandra might have done a choice but that doesnt mean she is right. Nor foes that mean we the fans cant be pushy, as you well pointed out. In the end we are both right. But it is a HUGE shame for Alejandra not to sing lead rhen even her sisters yhink she should. For sure she is still very young and she can change her mind. I just hope i luve long enough to see the day. You forget some of us fans are already of age.

If you want to characterize constantly bullying this woman as “constructive criticism,” go right ahead. Whatever makes you feel better about trying to force her into pleasing you. Personally I’m going to respect her choices and enjoy how great she is now.
At times Ale sounded like Pau, but not as strong and confident.
I heard that their mom says Ale is the best singer, but of course she does not want too.
Ale may not be the best singer for The Warning, but we'll take her regardless. She could sign sing and get a Standing O. These young ladies can do no wrong, even when they mess up, its good.

Nancy and Rob , the truth is Ale was being pressured/ coersed and i'll stop short in saying bullied , into singing lead , as an emergency . I specifically remember in a vlog a while back , when they were talking about Ale singing lead ,Dani said that Ale needed to contribute more to the band .

Let the 16-year old develop musically at her own pace and let's acknowledge she is not a lead vocalist, at least not at the moment.
