- Battlefield 2042 did what they said they wouldn't and finally added the A-10 thunderbolt, Frogfoot and Superiority modes. Had a good laugh on jets and tanks today with @TwoAngryGamersTV Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.

Trying to make battlefield fun
They absolutely need to make planes their own category. They act as a natural counter to helicopters. There’s no way that you can only choose between one attack heli OR plane per 64 players
Fax, I hate the entire vehicle system and how they did it. I feel like it’s insanely hard to get a vehicle in this game sometimes, where in bf4 it was so much easier. No reason they should’ve changed the system
It should be like BF3 system, on maps that allow it it should be one transport chopper, one little bird, one attack chopper, two jets and four tanks per team. Give or take out the little bird or transport chopper according to map balance.
@@jalenbrown8827 I hate that one guy can lock a jet and basically fly laps killing nothing the entire game but he never dies so your heli slot is taken for the entire game because someone with a better loading time took a jet at the start of the game.

It's stupid how there's like 4-5 options for a slot that usually only allows one at a time....
The worst thing about Dice is that they're way too scared to combine 2042 and portal. We know that you spent ''time'' making both games, but when the community wants Portal stuff in 2042, then it should be possible, the A10 Warthog totally fits into the genre

A-10s were outdated in the 90s, they would be VERY outdated in 2042.

Watching this video is the closest that I have 'felt' since the earliest days of BF (inc 1942, obviously) . Friends, explosions, and a lot of laughs in a sandpit of fun.

It's almost as though DICE have decided to make their games fun again. Who needs story narratives and world-building when you can drive squadrons of tanks into battle and have massive aerial dogfights?

Today was the first actual day where cranking up BF2042 was exciting.... Not even launch day made me excited, because the beta let the players KNOW that the game wasn't anywhere near finished. I hope that DICE go ALL IN with more of these updates, because I had given up on the game until today. Not going to get my hopes up too much, but this is promising!

Okay has anyone else had issues with the game ? Mine launches is good for about five mins and then boots me from the game. It’s been like that since they released the season. The game is fun when I get to play. Anyone have any idea

Only part about it that sucks is that's pretty much just the same firing effect as the other jets. Even the rocket pod is slightly louder than the brrrt.
Now why don’t we have attack jets in the base game.
The F-15SE and Su-47 would fit perfectly in the 2042 world.

Why put an f15 in a game that takes place 20 years after the f35 came out
@@alca_pwn_2232 You clearly don't even know. F-15SE is a 4.5-gen fighter made off of the F-15 platform and is currently being purchased right now to replace the F-15Cs. The F-15 is a crazy good multirole strike fighter. The F-35 is... not a strike fighter. It's a fat little bee that stays off the radar and drops 2 bombs 5000 km from the target and then leaves.

2042 has so much potential. I will say it. I think it can be saved and it will if they are dedicated like they say they are. Bf4 took a year to become the game we know and love today.
That was mostly due to netcode issues rather than the host of major problems BF2042 has…
I hope you’re right, but remembering how DICE dropped BF5 so early doesn’t leave me much confidence in DICE’s intentions despite their promises.

a couple buddies and I have been playing 2042 the last few days and it’s been a blast. idk how but it really has been lol we’ve been having a lot of classic “battlefield moments”

The tank superiority brings back memories of bf3's Armored Kill expansion with the tank destroyers and just mass amounts of armor battling it with along side me (on foot or ona bike) running around capping points and sneaking up on tanks to c4. good times good times.
Cannon rounds from aircraft still look a bit too slow for my liking but this is a bit closer to what the game should have been all along.
The "A-11 and make it look a bit future" bit is exactly what Arma did with the "A-164 Wipeout", haha. Just an A-10 with a bit of extra polygonal bits.
Also strange to see A-10s dogfighting so much. I didn’t think they were suited to air combat at all
BO4 did it fantastic with the Thresher. Futuristic enough to have clear upgrades but not as far as the super sleek look of the A-164w
the tank rounds too, theyre reminiscent of bf2's tanks lol

@@torque5056 check out DCS videos on A-10/SU-25 dogfights. I think Growling Sidewinder has a decent video on it, and its pretty entertaining to watch. A-10s have good low-speed maneuverability compared to SU-25s, but they're a lot slower
Seeing the A10 and Frogfoot again brings back good memories! Remember playing Rush on BF3 and causing absolute havoc in either of these, those were the days
Hold up wait a minute: they actually bought the brrrrt A-10?! Looks like dice is being real serious about this.... If they start adding more vehicles to this game as was more weapons and equipment, you are going to see a huge spike in players. This is along the lines of what we've been asking for for battlefield. It didn't hate the game when I first got it but I knew it was lacking, but now this just makes things a hell of a whole lot better.

Armoured Kill soundtrack is so good
By winter, this game will be overtaking Battle Royales. It took a year, but I think this game will slowly climb the charts. People forget how long it took BF4 to be the stable and amazing game it became.
No kidding! BF4 literally invented the whole "netcode" thing back when it came out and that took a solid year for them to get it right.
Yeah if they stay on this good course then a year from now it will be a really good game
That BF3 soundtrack loading maps "Bandar Desert" really brought me back to that g'old day
Finally you can play with a tank without being destroyed in 30sec by 1mil rockets and nades... I hope they keep this modes for longer.

....this legit made me want to play 2042...and that's the first time I've said that since this game launched.
They could easily put every weapons and vehicle, etc from Portal into base 2042 and it would still fit.
Weapons and vehicles don't magically go out of use just because something better may or may not have come out.
Someone will still be using modern day weaponry in the future.

Thing is the A10 isn't modern, it was outdated 30 years ago. They're better off adding newer equivalents
except the A-10 would never be used in 2042. using the A-10 in 2042 is like using an F-86 sabre today, which no one does. the A-10 would be a deathtrap that would be shot down before it could even come close to its target by any modern anti-aircraft weapon system made after the year 2000.
it's not jet fighters becoming obsolete as much as it is anti-air getting stronger and stronger, that's why stealth has so much focus today.

Battlefield has been a team game you and friends can squad up and jump in a server have a friend on u could create squad and join 2042 took all aspects of team play away...
If you guys think it's fun, I might just re-download it. But BF5 has 30k people a day. That says a lot.

I think 2042 can be really good. I know this is an unpopular opinion but I’ve actually had a lot of fun playing portal, especially flashback conquest.
theres been some more actual servers being made too, makes it so much more worth it

I have really been enjoying this game
I got to ask I finally am going to start playing as a novice again having not played MW2 since college days since 2012. I am on PS4 and have only since played COD WWII only campaign and Battle Field 4 Campaign only. I finally got a playstation + membership to play online am wondering with Battle Field 2042 so cheap right now is it worth buying despite the negative talk and being so cheap so soon after it's release or waiting until the next COD release comes out this year? Also as I've heard WWII COD has kind of a unique multiplayer setup is there any recommendations on a existing COD game to get that doesn't focus on Zombies or 3rd Person/Battle Royale. I really hate the 3rd Person view. All recommendations appretiated!

Can you level vehicles up in portal mode/is the xp still nerfed?
i love air combat in battlefield games but it feels like in 2042 in conquest its super helicopter dominated we need more variants of jets and the a10 or future version like a11 or 12 would fit so well into it
I would love this but the f35 that’s already in the game is designed as kind of a “universal” fighter jet so in real life it plays the role of the warthog very well and can replace it in a lot of scenarios. So by 2042 any variation of the A10 would be obsolete.
The tanks only gamemode gave me bf3 vibes when that one expansion came out
So did the air superiority mode. It already was in BF3 and I think even in BF1943 on console.

I still remember playing CTF in BF1942 and riding on the hood as we did a drive-by then in the middle of the chase getting swooped up by a jet or given one to escape.

Once you go DCS you don't accept anything less than a perfect simulation, i mean it's a good dog fight in the game, but i can't help but see the mistakes (like the A10 having the same speed as a gen 5 fighter)
Well of course. You are talking about simulation versus a more arcade-style or casual style of gameplay.

@@MorrisseyMuse you clearly either aren't a bf fan or never actually played 2042 for yourself, it's horrible, and doesn't even have the core battlefield mechanic of classes, they have operators, there are tons of videos explaining why this is extremely detrimental to the core gameplay of battlefield, it's not hard to see why bf fans hate this game
