I sharpen these type scissors by folding a piece of aluminum foil over itself about 4 times then cutting it several times. Works a treat to perk those scissors up! Great video!
Your little treasures are very cute! I have a bunch of those decorative scissors that I have not used in years. I will have to get them out and make some of these. Thanks for inspiring!
Such a lovely addition to journals!! I had picked up an idea from Mike Deakin's yt channel that works fabulously. He covers glossy papers/emphemera with a coat of clear gesso to create a matte finish and you can then stamp on them.
Just another little thought: when I sharpen with foil, I finish by using wax paper to “lubricate”! You’ll be amazed at how well punches & scissors work after this 2-step technique!
12:14 all of these look gorgeous! and I do wish those fancy edge scissors came in "adult" quality versions. You'd think they'd be more commonly available. I haven't seen many styles in the full size scissors (like the pinking shears) but I'm sure they're out there...
I love this video! I am a stamp collector and I do use real stamps in my personal journals...but how cute to be able to make your own stamps. You have inspired me to give it a try. Thanks for taking the time to share your wonderful talent!
This absolutely works Ive been doing it all the time for years but it makes them squeaky afterwards which bugs me so I also cut them with wax paper after I cut them with foil which helps lubricate them and gets rid of the squeaking
Thank you for the shout out Jessica. Just got back from vacay!!! Love how you used them. So cute!!! 🙋♀️❤️
Very cute & fun!! Love how easy they are to put together! Thanks!
What a great idea, I think the stamps really pull them all together. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

You can cut flowers and little things out of catalogs to use for these. Or magazines
So cute, so many different ideas, Thank you xx😁🧡💐🦋🌈
Stamps are my latest obsession 😁🥰
These are so pretty. Thank you for the inspiration.
I used mine as a tab for the journal! So pretty
Very very creative...❤️

Hello Jessica!
These are awesome!

Great idea, I like to use calendars in making tags etc. Now I can add stamping w/o a problem. TFS.
These are lovely Jessica :) Stazon or Archival ink will
dry quickly, not smudge and stamp a lot better :)

Love your channels. Wasn't sure if anyone mentioned this, but for toning down the glossy on anything, use matte medium.
Great idea!

Wow! I have some stamps from when I was little. I didn’t think of using them in these journals! Thanks for the idea!!!
What a great idea! I have to give this a try 😊 Love your inspiring videos! TYFS 💗💗💗
So cute!
You can also use hair thinning sheers, have an old pair works great. Got this from another RUclipsr.
I made a little stamp ! Thanks for showing us how! Now, how do I send you a picture of it?
Awesome! Thank you! 💕
Great idea! TFS
Those are cancellation stamps...USPS "cancels" the postage stamp so it can't be refused.😊
*re-used, not refused. Dang auto correct.
Sharpen your scissors by cutting aluminum foil. It works. I learned that from another RUclipsr
