I bought this for my laptop and it just keeps connecting and disconnecting over and over.

Although it says that it can be used for laptops, I would recommend using it only with tablets, phones, and consoles because the laptops are more power hungry and need at least 200W (since the max. capacity of this dock is 100W). 😉

It didn't really grab me that much. That outer casing looked gimmicky and rather fiddly.

Makes sense but you can still use it without that outer casing, also the $53 is really a good price... 😉
