CHICAGO IS A BEAUTIFUL CITY. THANKS MAINLY TO MAYOR RICHARD DALEY JR. HE LOVES PARIS A SISTER CITY TO CHICAGO. HE COPIED THE TREES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREETS FROM PARIS. MAYOR DALEY WANTED CHICAGO TO BE LIKE PARIS. HE STARTED THE MILLENNIUM PARK. RESHAPED OUR LAKEFRONT. GREAT VIDEO. AWESOME JOB.
Tips from a Chicago area resident: 1. Go to the Bean first thing in the morning. I would recommend avoid going in the afternoon because it’s a total tourist trap. 2. Refer to places by there original names. Call Willis Tower. Sears Tower. It’s what majority of the residents call it. Best to blend in instead of sticking out. 3. Don’t expect a lot of activity around 6pm-7pm. The Loop is primarily just business where people work and go home, the best thing is to go to one of the neighborhoods because this is where the nightlife happens. The Loop doesn’t have much of a nightlife.
@@TravGuideChannel On Tip #2: It was previously called the Sears Tower until 2009 when the Willis Group Holdings bought the naming rights. However, out of nostalgia many Chicagoans and others still call it the Sears Tower despite the name change. Culturally, when something is known for a long time and names change. We stick to because it’s what we think is familiar.
Wow. That's pretty sad and depressing. To hear that the Loop is "just business where people work and go home". You would think that a city this dynamic, especially the Loop, would have a thriving nightlife. Says something about city hall and the lack of leadership and vision! Don't just count on tourism to generate revenue but innovate and connect with the local community to turn the Loop into it's own "city" or neighborhood.

I still think of the Chicago white Sox field as Comiskey park
@@TravGuideChannel Yup! Chicagoans and some others call it Comiskey even though it’s officially Guarantee Rate Field.
