I agree with what was said at the end of the video. I think about it this way: V = IR. So, voltage and current are proportional, if current goes up, so does voltage. If the current is limited, then the voltage is limited (for the same resistance). Pretty basic but, Ohm's Law always works and it is a good way to simplify electricity in your mind. Hope this helps.

Mehdi, great Job, and a quick note for others as you said the Voltage across the Body and Body Voltage is different. When birds land on the high voltage line, their body voltage to the ground is the same as the line voltage and the voltage across their body is zero. People say voltage is not dangerous because you can touch 500KV if you don't provide a path to the ground (or keep your voltage across your body close to zero). the description of ionized air makes sense. I remember when there was a lightning strike right outside at work, there was a good few seconds where you could feel the whole room become electrically charged, and we wondered what was happening before FLASH/POP/BANG. the pop was, I think, a lightbulb exploding outside. all of our CRT monitors were magnetized and showed purple (I had to work from one purple monitor for the next month or so before I figured out how to demagnetize it.) there were a couple network ports on our switches, and network cards connected to those ports, that were all fried. we were probably lucky not to have more electrical damage than we did.
But how did you demagnetize the monitor? Did you place it in a coil? :D
@@danallan8526 at the time, most CRT monitors had demagnetizing features. I couldn't find it on that one but phoned support and they showed me that it did have a feature to demagnetize. before then I was considering using a degaussing coil which is how it would have had to be done before they had automatic demagnetization features.

6:42: This type of taser only shocks at the surface of the skin. I think it is easier to fight this than fight against the type which fires needles that enters under the skin.
That is true. Those types forces your muscles to contract, and you fall over
@Jen A *taser* also works at a specific frequency that interacts with the human nervous system in a way that makes it so they are unable to fight back, instead of relying on pain compliance like a stun gun
@@tastychunks Same pricipal as a defibrillator - it uses a special waveform to get the heart back to a natural beat. You can't just shock a person having ventricular fibrillation episode with a wall socket or capacitor bank. (or indeed, a stun gun). In Taser's case, they have used a waveform that interrupts electrical signals in such a way that they are not lethal, but cause almost instantaneous compliance.
also, having seen some video of the taser with needles, I fear those needles with back hooks much more than the electrical shock.
It has nothing to do with the depth of the prongs, its the distance between them. If you connected the prongs of a regular taser and affixed it to the surface of the skin it would have just about the same effect just without having a barbed prong in your skin.

The human body has an inherent high resistance to electric current, which means without sufficient voltage a dangerous amount of current cannot flow through the body and cause injury or death. As a rough rule of thumb, more than fifty volts is sufficient to drive a potentially lethal current through the body- google if it is 7,000,000 V then it’s not a self defence weapon it’s a murder weapon
