    I've only been bowhunting for a few years but what i like the most about the direction many manufacturers are taking, is giving the user a bow that is easier to tune and set up. Not everyone has a proshop nearby, the funds to buy a bow press or the knowledge to fine tune a bow. Many bows are becoming easier to tune and set up at home, which is awesome for the consumer.
    In a few short years brands that have say previously run mod specific drawlength adjustments have switched to rotating mods (elite, prime, xpedition), and with brands like Bowtech and Elite coming out with new ways to adjust cam angles its becoming even easier for consumers to tune a bow without a press. Thats a huge win not just for consumers but also for shops, who then have an easier job and less expense setting up bows. I cant imagine what they're going to come up with next.

    Just picked a Revolt up today. Never felt such a smooth draw (at 70lbs!!), solid backwall, quiet bow in my 25 years of shooting. Great bow.

    tip for longer draw guys shooting the revolt....you can serve below the peep in the correct spot (found by trial and error) and then put a kisser button there that you then tie on (ditch metal clamps to save weight)
    if in the right spot, this is like a huge version of bowmar's nose button and it allowed me to have a comfortable anchor and place my nose on the kisser, now nose, button
    this really helps me not feel like i'm floating around out there

    I have a realm x that I love..... Killed a buck n doe with it in the same tree! Imo. Bow tech had by far the best cam system with the odbinary...... Now this? Deadlock tech. While the rest the companies are tearing apart axles and cams to add shims, bow tech is twisting yokes or a screw. Why would anyone want to "catch" Matthews when they're running in the wrong direction?

  • @shaynetcrocker
    @shaynetcrocker 5 лет назад +1

    Just ordered my Revolt X in real tree. I will say that shooting the Revolt, Revolt X, and the Elite Kure I cant say anything about the two revolts because the revolt and the revolt x were 2 different poundages. The revolt x at 60 is complete butter the revolt at 70 was just as smooth just a little heavier because of the weight. The Elite Kure at 70lbs felt extremely smooth. It felt almost exactly like the revolt in comfort mode. You can absolutely tell a difference between comfort and performance mode on the bowtechs. I honestly would love to be able to buy Borge the elite Kure and the revolt x and shoot them both. The elite did have one flaw which was a little vibration in the hand that kept going like a tuning fork. The bowtech bow did not travel that issue at all but that had the two vibration dampeners already on them and I’m sure with the elite rigged up the vibration would go away. The elite did feel better in the hand.

    You should have mention the Camo options. The new Woodlands is awesome. I’d buy based on that alone. I’m also big fan of 7” plus brace height.

    these speeds are right in line with my revolt shot through a pro chrono
    comfort setting, 58 pounds, 30 inch draw, 410 grain arrow, and loaded string (big peep, cat whiskers, d loop, and kisser button) shoots 265 fps.....this back calculates to around 320 fps
    if i flipped the disc to performance, i'd likely calculate at 330 fps, which is within spitting distance of the 335 fps ibo claimed by bowtech....so the company is not super inflating their numbers

    So I bought the revolt x and I love it. Recently I found a Hoyt rx1 Carbon 60lb on a local classified. What are your thoughts on getting that as another bow. Lol. It’s $1k and comes with a sight!

    I would love to see a video explaining the pros and cons of the major brands' cams. BTW, what does, "This bow shoots flat" mean?

    • @BowHunterPlanet
      @BowHunterPlanet  4 года назад +1

      I usually say FLAT when there is ZERO Arc in the shot.. meaning perfect flight. "no Drop in"

    I shot a Revolt this past weekend and want to compare it to the Reckoning. I only need one bow (hunting and 3D) so I'm leaning towards the Reckoning.

    Question- How come a bow costs as much as 2 or 3 new chainsaws ? ( think I paid $400 something for my Husqvarna Rancher)
    Shoot you can buy a new chainsaw for what the better sights costs .... guess it’s because boys toys are a lot more fun to have vs. high end tools (??)

  • @Jay_Michael
    @Jay_Michael 5 лет назад +1

    Why the drop in speed from the Realm SR6? Obviously a longer brace height, but why a different cam? Couldn't they use the same cam and the dead lock system and keep the same speeds as the SR6?

    • @BowHunterPlanet
      @BowHunterPlanet  4 года назад +1

      I think this bow is going for more Comfort overall. I think the SPEED game is slowing moving backwards as companies are finding a MAX is out there for the technology

      add twists to the cables, remove twists from the string, remove the clutch grip and shoot it bare riser or with a thin wrap.....any more room you need, slightly increase length of d loop

    • @chrisschnur8596
      @chrisschnur8596 4 года назад +1

      Yes they can. All cams are at risk of going out of time. However being that is a binary cam system the likelihood of such is minimal due to the consistency of cable lengths and load.

    Have to say I disagree with this review. For background I currently shoot a RX1 70lbs 29.5 draw length I am shopping for a new bow for next season I am looking for a longer axel to axel more forgiving bow. I was very interested in this bow due to the deadlock cam system but was very disappointed. Went to my local shop last night shot the Hoyt RX4 Ultra, Mathews VXR 31.5 both at 70lbs and the Bowtech Revolt X at 60lbs. The Mathews was by far the quietest and most dead in the hand. The Revolt X had by far the most hand shock and was the loudest it actually caught me off guard when I shot it to the point where the shop owner commented on the facial reaction. Between the Hoyt and the Mathews the Hoyt had the smoother draw the VXR had a draw cycle similar to my RX1 it stacked up than had more of a "dump" into the valley. I will say the Bowtech had a more forgiving valley when I let the bows down it didn't take the string from me like the other bows.

      My reign 7 had to have new limbs. It was suppose to have been fixed then. I’ve had 2 Bowtech do that. Couldn’t spend the money no more. Switched to Mathews

    • @jasonbaker2397
      @jasonbaker2397 5 лет назад +1

      All I’m saying is I am a little upset that BHP gave me the response they did of it has not been an issue. I am a bow nut and know and study them meticulously. Anyone who knows bows knows this is an ongoing issue with bowtech. Honestly I love a lot about them other than this issue. I would appreciate honesty and I am now unsubscribing from their channel. I know they do not care however honesty is everything to me. A simple they are working hard on resolving this would of been a great answer, and would not of lost a fan/subscriber.

    • @Buran01
      @Buran01 5 лет назад +1

      @@jasonbaker2397 I think that they moved the limb production from laminated outsourced to solid limbs produced in house since the release of the Realm lineup, which ended the problem. I like Mathews a lot but I would like to see that brand to use rotating mods for dl as now is using Bear, Elite and even Prime, and to put some answer to the Deadlock cam system from Bowtech and Elite SET limb socket system, because those are really user friendly features that increase the quality of living for the customers.

    • @chanceterrill5346

      Fuck that..... 20 fps don't mean shit to a deer or elk but a butter smooth draw and forgiving brace height vs harsh draw with a nasty hump that u have to get over while freezing and contorted in a treestand while trying to maintain perfect form to keep ur 5. 5 inch brace height from hitting your sleeve absolutely does........ I'd rather hit my target every time comfortably at 335 then miss shooting 360
