Really pleased you got a hugger. Back in the day I also bought a front fender extension online to keep that expensive radiator from being damaged by loose road crap. I also had a centre stand fitted as an option when I bought it. Well done. You won't regret having the hugger on your bike.
Great stuff Graham. I had colour matched Pyramid huggers fitted to both my VFR1200Fs and most recently to my Tiger 1050. They're a great piece of kit and as you say, essential to keep road grime off the shock. Mind you, I was surprised to see a man from the North East eager to secure a bargin😂
Hmm, I don’t like huggers but realize that when you drive often in bad weather it is a good additional protection for your shock as well. I do like the color as it matches your bike. Hope you enjoy it 👍🏻
Looks good Graham. I'm batting the idea of a rear hugger as well, unsure whether to go just plain black (plastic/carbon) or coloured. My bike is red, but I'm not sure if I should colour code to the bike or to the silver side panels/swingarm.... 🤔 Decisions decisions 😂
Ooh that's an interesting proposition, I hadn't thought of that. Not seen a silver hugger and it would also match the silver lower fairing inners. Good luck with the decision 😊
@@Grahamvfr Well, it didn't take long....took the kids to school this morning and upon returning I had a long hard look at the bike.... and decided on black! Just ordered one from GP Kompozit in Turkey (very similar to the Pyramid ones in the way they extend below the swingarm).
Damn hugger from GP Kompozit, Turkey, arrived this morning! Incredible delivery service. Bought on Friday morning and delivered to my door on Tuesday morning from Istanbul. Seems to be a real good quality product, made of reinforced ABS plastic. I got the unpainted, mat black, version ($71 +shipping) and it's a similar finish to the black side panels on the bike. Supplied with fitting screws and can be mounted as-is, no need to paint.

Good choices.. Cheers Jeff, looks more subtle than I imagined 👍

Yes, I was never a big lover of huggers, but this one seems to be easy on the eye 😊
Secured a last of stock bargain there Graham - enjoy! :D
Really pleased thank you 👍👍
You have fitted one at last ! will save the shocker looks well with it been colour matched like you say for £58 pounds a bargin .
Couldn't say no at that price 😊.
I also prefer OEM look bikes....but I do value a decent hugger. Looks good.👍
A lot more inobtrusive that I imagined, thanks 😊
@@Grahamvfr 👍😎
Honda not making the OEM mudguard anymore, therefore option like this or other brands.
Haha... I've just got another bargain. (ish) .. All will be revealed soon 🤔
Looking forward to that!
@@garyt123 It was the old kawasaki I bought Gary.. Well I thought it was a bargain haha.
