When the fake “grandchild” is in prison call was going around, my grandma answered with “Timmy, Timmy, is that you? You’ve been dead for 10 years. How are you calling me?” She then just started frantically saying “Timmy” over and over until the scammer hung up. She was legendary when it came to dealing with scammers.
in my state, I can draw on a criminal that is committing a felony on me. I wonder if Uber guy ever considered that before he committed grand theft auto?!
One of the worst things I've ever said to someone was a scammer. A dude kept calling my office sometimes 3 times a week, sometimes twice a day saying he was from my IT department and needed access. That's super weird because I was a PM for a doctor and I WAS THE IT DEPARTMENT. Finally, one day I had had it. I asked him if his mother knew what he did for a "living". He said, "my mother is dead" and I said, "Awwww did she die from disappointment?" Dude never called back so I have zero regrets.
Best reply ever. My husband was head of IT security & SCADA for the company he worked for until his retirement this past year. Usually he’d just answer “Security” or “SCADA” on his company cell, but occasionally if he had time to spare, he’d screw around with them for as long as possible. Word must’ve gotten around, as the calls finally dwindled off into nothing after a couple months or so. My favourite was watching him as he’d tie them up - he always said that as long as they were messing with him, they weren’t scamming anyone else for that time span. They’re utter scum. I’ll have to remember this for next time, lol.
"Just drive him to a police station" THAT'S THE MOVE. It gives 'I'm not stuck in here with you, YOU'RE stuck in here with ME.' He's making it so easy to take him to the police station.
Call the police while in the car… this is staged… The video says this is “how you handle this situation”. Not really though I wouldn’t discuss with them after the first request as the person is now trespassing on private property… no threats or discussion just call
I suffered a stroke 6 years ago, became legally blind, and lost my driver's license and sold my car as a reult. I still get scam calls about me getting car insurance upgrades, stuff like that. My favorite one was when I said I'm blind and don't drive, and they said they had special policies for blind drivers.
Uber passenger “isn’t going to really steal your car” really did steal it. Report it. LOVE how he squealed like a little child when he was yanked out of the car.
How I handle scammers: 1. I speak conversational Japanese, so I just answer in Japanese. 2. I ask them of they're psychic because I died recently and how are they able to talk to me. 3. I pretend I have memory issues and repeat myself a lot. 4. If I have no energy to play, I'll scold them, tell them to find a legit job, and to make sure they drink water.
My son does an absolutely flawless middle Eastern accent on his English. So he just starts talking to them in that English with the Middle Eastern accent right back to them and they lose their minds. 😂😂
Ha. When they give their fake names with that Indian accent, I tell them my name is 'Raj Patel' They usually don't believe me, say I don't sound Indian...and I then advise them to look up the word 'irony', and hang up. Got that one from a live stream that baits scammers.
If someone does not return your property then DEFINITELY sue them!! The nerve of someone refusing to pay you or return your items and then threatening to send lawyers your way.
I can see why she wouldn't unfortunately, it would probably be either astronomically expensive and a logistical nightmare to sue someone in the US from the UK, or flat-out impossible if there are no laws in either country that apply internationally. It's a good first step to put them on blast on social media, I hope it works out for her 🤞
If the property doesn’t cost that much, then legal fees aren’t worth it. Maybe you can sue for legal fees too but until you’ve won the case and been paid, you still have to pay your lawyer(s). It’s probably not worth it, unfortunately
Came to comment on this too. I don’t understand people not just paying for things. Wanna know what normally happens when you don’t have a budget? You don’t get the thing. They could just ask for a discount in exchange for the promotion. You know most of them can afford to pay full price anyway.
For that last one, take it as a lesson that if someone is refusing to get out of your vehicle, do not exit the vehicle yourself without turning the vehicle off and having the keys on your person.
@@vickiechandler3112 Exactly, because pulling him out of the car could have easily been maneuvered into an assault charge, and why go through all that?
TOTALLY!!! She has her own channel and does a ton of voices and she is GOOD!!!! I don’t know her name but if you do find it, it is worth following!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
that final guy stealing the car and still expecting service is EXACTLY what mcdonalds customers are like. ive had customers BREAK IN and be confused as to why we wouldn't serve them. WE'RE CALLING SECURITY.... GET THE HELL OUT!!
Literally they're so stupid. The other night after we closed, we were doing the cleaning stuff and somebody in their car drove past the menu, first window, and just sat and waited in front of mine??? I noticed them there but just ignored them until they blasted the horn and had the audacity to act shocked when I told them we are closed. Dog the menu is dark, none of our outside lights are on, what do you think?
@@Poolpuppies3 no literally i work there and the amount of people who think they are entitled to me. I've had people wipe their boogers on me. I had people trying to sell me drugs. Weirdos i tell you. Thankfully I had some customers who are so nice and patient.
It reeks of, "We'll pay you in 🌟exposure!🌟 Do you know how many followers they have? It will bring you SO much business!" You already posted with her info. She isn't likely to get much more business from a second mention than the original, and even if it's removed, plenty of people who were actually interested in her work already looked her up. Just pay the woman and move on! Also, £200 as is is practically theft for that quality, her time, and it being a rush job. That work is worth at least 2-3 times as much as she charged when she's not well known, and into the thousands if her business and popularity take off!
I love how scammers use AI to "help" with English. One got so mad I asked him to calm down. He continued monologuing in broken English about how poor he was, his rent is sky high, groceries gone, and no car. I said, "What's the deal that's NORMAL in the US?" He screamed for several minutes, then he told me his boss showed all the workers how Americans really lived. Curious, I asked which videos. His boss was showing The Kardashians, The Osbornes, several cooking shows, and even older shows like Leave it to Beaver. I told him 98% of America isn't like that. He screamed, then hung up. Look at me, therapist, to the Scammer. 😂😂😂
So, is this some kind of technique to get them desensitized ? Like, "They aren't gonna miss this money. They are just rolling in it & are selfish & greedy. It's not like you are taking the food out of someone's children's mouths... And these old ladies ! They are just sitting on their money doing nothing with it !" Type of deal ?

That last dude was straight up insane 🤣 like dude you're not in school, you can't just bully people into doing what you want, the second hand embarrassment 🤢😂
My 88 year old father loves it when the duct callers call. He puts on an elderly voice and raises his volume and says, are you the ones who sent over the duck? It was delicious! We can't tell you how much we enjoyed it. We had enough for many meals, etc. etc. it quacks me up.
That dude who kept repeating "five bucks" made me feel so much rage. Like for one, the driver repeatedly said no. Two, the entitled attitude that he was offering a too good to turn down amount to someone he clearly felt was beneath him was absolutely disgusting. That driver had an incredible amount of self control and patience in handling the situation.
@@NightMare9724most people are inches away from being homeless every other week due to commie policies cranking the prices up more and more. People are done with it ontop of done with inefficient taxi Uber services which aren’t always legit either. We can’t so easily side with anyone. Many comments detailed how the Uber video was fake. They even look like brothers.
@@fetB You can’t change the details in the middle of a drive, the driver has to let you out at the location you specify or they lose insurance for the added distance, plus they can get in trouble with the company. The guy has to start over with his new location and a different driver, but he didn’t want to pay and wait for another one.
I told a duct scam caller that my house doesn't have any ventilation ducts and he asked me how I'm able to breathe. 😂 Ducts are a modern invention, my house is old.
@@Boredchinchilla Or doors. 😂 Houses are not airtight, especially not old ones. Air flow in and out through the chimney and the gaps between the floorboards.
The uber scammer was making me so angry, he had such a smug smile on his face the entire time! If he really wasn't trying to steal that car, he was doing it for some sort of sick power play.
He did steal the car, he brought it back but he did take the car without your permission. The video camera shows what happened. Or did you leave your phone in the car too.
Charlotte, when I got to a point of three to five scam calls a day, I resorted to answering the phone in my best, official-sounding voice, "Delaware State Police - what is your location please?" Floofs on the other end of the line usually got really angry. lol (btw, local State Police said it was okay for me to do that, as long as I wasn't out wearing a fake uniform and pointing hairdryers at people on the highways).
I’m actually communicating with a wrong number text scammer. I figure “she’s” communicating with multiple people but also figure if she’s wasting her time with me, that’s one less person, or a waste of time she’d be using possibly scamming someone who believes her. She had sent me a couple pics and the first two were similar but the third was a little different. I’ve reverse searched them but haven’t found a match. She send a text saying “I hope your having a wonder day” and similar overly nice texts. I’ll said I’m walking my dog and she replied “It’s so great you have a wonderful companion to enjoy the outdoors with. I’m glad you’re able to find ways to partake in activities that bring you joy!” No one is that nice to a random stranger she mistakenly texted. It’s been about 2.5 weeks and recently she’s been dropping little bits about how she’s been successful with her stock and bit coin investments. She originally told me she owned her own aesthetic business, flips houses, helps her parents in Singapore with their import/export shipping business, and is into investing. She mentioning how smart her uncle is about investing and how she’s listens to him to make profitable investments.
I had an HVAC company improperly install a unit in my attic that caused thousands of dollars in damages to my wall and ceiling. They came out 3 times to "fix" it. We eventually had to go to a different company to get it fixed properly. My fiance went down and asked for some kind of compensation, and they laughed in his face. But suddenly, when we both of us gave the company 1 star Google reviews, suddenly it was "oh how can we fix this and make it better"
I had an opal ring that my husband gave me a long time ago. Because I was unfamiliar with the stone, I wore it during a particularly cold Wisconsin winter. The stone shrunk and fell out, BUT I found it and kept it with the band. When we went back to the jewelers to have it put back in, they pitted the setting so that the stone could no longer sit properly in the ring. I tried to get them to fix their mistakes, but they insisted that I pay $150 for them to add more gold to the setting. This place was supposed to have a lifetime warranty as long as you didn't lose the stone (which I didn't) AND kept up with monthly cleanings (which I did). When I pointed out the damage they did to the setting on the band, they basically said, "Prove it was us." So I went on Twitter (it was still Twitter at the time, not X), and told the company that they lost a very loyal customer and the reason why(we got our engagement and wedding bands here as well as a diamond bracelet, sapphire earrings, and an emerald ring...not all at the same time). They DM'd me wanting to know how they could win me back. I told them that they couldn't, so don't bother trying. They didn't want me as a customer when I needed them, so they don't get to keep me when I no longer need them. I got the ring fixed by a small, local business, and it cost me $50.
I had a friend who had an episode not unlike that and when he got no satisfaction he went and bought every possible version of their domain name as they only had one. Anyone who contacted the ones he had got a reply about what frauds they were and they eventually came back, tail between legs, to fix it. He kept the names anyway.
My dad has answered the phone with, "Arizona Mortuary. You stab them, we slab them." He has done this since before caller ID was available. He usually gets a loud gasp, and the other person hangs up.
Mine two favourites are s 'Hello, Sexual Deviancy Counselling Service. Do you wish to make a castration appointment? ' Or 'Acme Sewerage, we fix your shit'
I love f'n with phone scammers. Once they forgot to use a fake number and use the number to the call center in India. Being a retired person, I have a lot of time on my hands. I kept calling them back for 45 minutes before they figured out to block my number. Best 45 minutes of free entertainment ever.
I love doing that :) I know a few words in Hindi, so I randomly added them into the conversation. Best free entertainment ever. I also got four scam calls on Purim, and each time, I picked up my phone and went "HI! It's Purim! Do you know what Purim is?" I love messing with them.
I had once gotten a job at a call centre here by the first 30 mins of the first day I realised they were scamming people. I was revolted for being a part of that because my parents were a victim of scammers too. But i realised US companies themselves share their clients numbers in 3-4 different lists and sell it so you get scammed. I'm sorry this happened to you but glad you shut them down. All i can say is be very careful when giving your numbers especially in forms because they hide it behind fine print.
About the Uber driver situation: If a passenger A. refuses to leave your vehicle, B. Cancels the drive once they’re in the car to scam you, or C. Some other crazy thing If you decide to drive them back to where you picked them up, or to the police station or anywhere but their destination, you could possibly be charged with kidnapping. A good solution is to pull over and call the police, because snow your client is trespassing in your car- YOUR property. Have fun being legally petty!
One of the funniest scam bait calls I've seen is the one where they called an actual police officer. She was sitting at her desk at work and just was silently laughing at them trying to tell her that she had been linked to all sorts of criminal activities. They think they have a live one, get the 'supervisor' on the phone when she pretends she wants to work out payment plan and then trips them up with 'Oh, it's only 3 now? I thought the other guy said it was 17 felonies. I'm so glad to know it wasn't that many!" The call ended shortly after that.
I get the accident I’m responsible for due to bad driving calls asking me to admit liability. I lead then on, pretend to cry etc then when they ask for my car into I hit them with what car? I don’t own a car, I do t have a drivers license- yup im 42 and still don’t drive
I take a leaf out of the Bart Simpson playbook: if my phones suggests it's a scam I answer "Joe's taxedermy you snuff em, we stuff em." Normally they're too shocked to say anything and just hang up
I used to answer Moe's Mortuary you st4bb um we slab um. Or just moan into the phone but that got me in trouble one day when it was my boyfriends mother on a new phone number. She thought I was crying not moaning and she yelled at him for making me cry.
Once my fella put in the wrong address while we were in an uber. He apologised and changed it on the app. Driver wasn't bothered, we weren't bothered and all was alright with the world 😂
I recently forgot my entry ticket where I was staying when attending a (nerd) convention. The Uber driver was so nice, let me rebook him, and took me back and forth again! I made sure to tip him well in cash and leave a 5 star review!
I will say this- many times Uber has the wrong address even though you put in the right one! I get medical rides to my doctor appointments and most of the time it’s with Uber and even though I gave the insurance the right address the address that Uber puts in is the wrong address 🤷♀️ so most of the time I have to call my insurance and they have to fix the address with Uber and that’s that and it’s the same driver is the one who takes me but idk about if it’s not through medical insurance. I know when I’ve got the Ubers (not through insurance) usually I’m taken to the right address but a couple of times they took me to the wrong place and it was completely on them I was going to the movies with my son once and I put in the right address I know I did I could see it on my screen but the address the Uber driver had on HIS screen was wrong. But all he did was put in the correct address and took me to the correct place but it was literally only 5 minutes down the road. But I think in this case the guy was just being a jerk and the Uber driver didn’t want to drive all the way across town without putting it in the Uber app and just for $5? When you’re nice and polite you would be surprised how people are more accommodating to those who treat them with respect 🤷♀️
When my FIL died, people called everyone who was slightly, maybe, possibly related to to try buy his house. They even called my brother-in-law, who has never shared a last name with anyone related to FIL. So of course, they called my father. He decided if they were going to waste his time, he’d waste their time. His record was 45 minutes. I love my dad.
When my mum was alive she used to love winding up the scam callers about Windows (the PC operating one) she'd say loads like, "im looking at them right now, they're clean" "I only got new windows last year" they'd get so mad at her. She'd keep it going as well, she loved annoying them. Made us all laugh so much 😂
😆🙃🤣 My son is a pro at this one!! He will tell the caller one moment please, puts the phone down and leaves it there for several minutes, when he picks up the phone again, he uses his incredible ability to do voices to speak in some thick accent and he will keep asking them to repeat themselves and they get so frustrated they hang up. Hysterical!!
I love that! My daughter simply says, in a totally, no accent, perfect English, “ Sorry, I don’t speak English” and then hangs up. Not quite as good as your son’s method, but still funny.
I have a call screener on my phone that alerts me to "suspicious" calls. A voice message tellls the caller that the call is being screened and to please state their name/company and the nature of the call. It is very satisfying to her the immediate "click" and dial tone! 😊
Tip for Uber drivers: Always have a spare car door key on you in case you do get locked out of your vehicle. This happened to my husband and he didn't even need to negotiate to get the doors unlocked. He literally just unlocked the door from the outside and threw the scammer out before he knew what had happened.
Actually a great tip for all drivers. Not that I've ever locked my keys in the car...ahem...since I carry the extra. There was the time I locked the keys and my purse with the extras in it so, yeah, I'm special.
Omg the duct cleaning call!! Like 20 years ago, my mom’s friend (also from Canada) used to get calls asking if she wanted her ducts cleaned and her response was “sorry, I have a cat” 😂😂 Love hearing this!!!! 💜
I work for an attorney. We get scam calls all the time. It’s hysterical because I answer the phone with “Good morning, this is the law office if so and so. How May I help you?” They say, “I’m calling you today about… wait what did you say? A law office? Sorry wrong number!” Makes me laugh every time
Whenever my mom would get spam calls, she'd give the phone to my great-grandmother: "Hey, it's your cousin So-and-so, they wanna catch up with you! 😊" Worked every time
RIGHT, I would not have humored it nearly as long, nor would I want to physically try to pull them out lest they try to claim assault. I'd have called as soon as he refused to get out.
The funniest duct cleaning response I’ve ever heard was from my hubby. He answered and heard this is John from duct cleaning company. My husband’s response was - the duck is dead but you can clean this as he proceeds to fart in the phone. I died laughing; I’m dying again watching this post 😂😂😂🆘
I always answer spam calls with "911, what is your emergency? Please state your name and the location of your emergency. Alright, I understand that you can't answer right now, we will be tracing your location and emergency services are on their way, just stay on the line until we locate you, okay?" Amazingly, they always hang up at this point.
I have used various methods in dealing with spam calls, to my enjoyment. Unfortunately, I recieved more calls as a result. The best way to nip these calls in the bud is to not answer in the first place. If you want to mess with these scammers, answer and engage. If you want to not recieve these calls ever again, don't pick up and they will stop calling.
I have MAAAADDDDD RESPECT for the Uber driver. The way he stayed calm and collected the entire time. I hope he can channel his frustrations in a healthy way afterwards because that energy needs to get out somehow before it bottles up and explodes after a while 👀 i hope he's okay and that he usually has kind and respectful customers because he really deserves that
She could charge half of what the pieces are worth as the deposit and, if the agreement states that they will be returned, then the deposit can also get returned. Easy peasy! No returned items? No deposit back!
All I could think was "if you put something _in the mail_ , you have to accept that you no longer have that item. It's gone. You have made the choice to not get it back." Whether that's the legal 'reality' of the situation is irrelevant. It sounds like this is the only way she can promote her business, but she needs to send cheaper items that she can calculate as an advertisement expense for her business. Otherwise only work with local people who you can maybe go on location with so you can physically bring your item back -- and still go through the contract and deposit because they may still find a way to break it/ruin it/steal it.
Just a little PSA: Guys, please make sure the elderly in your life know about scams like these. My parents' neighbor just got her bank account wiped out, and the police say there's nothing they can do. The person was in another country, and once they get your info, there's little that can be done.
I had many conversations with my Mom about it, and she learned to be very suspicious. She was still unfailingly polite, but did eventually get to the point of hanging up.
I have never understood how it is that so many elderly people do fall for them. I know they do, I know they aren’t dumb, they’re just regular people and the scammer is 100% to blame. But my parents taught me to avoid SO many scams, even the ones that are considered legit but are using subtle sales tactics, like tv “order now” commercials, or selling something for $9.99 instead of $10 to make it look cheaper. And my mom is now 87 now and has a lifetime of experience avoiding anything that looks too good to be true. I guess I just figured, especially after so many old folks were in the news in the 90s after getting scammed on the phone, that the older generations would be more wary and wise. They may have been born in a different time but they didn’t teleport to ours without seeing anything in between! A lot of them lived through some of the toughest years in recent history. How in this modern, violent world do they just trust some random stranger who calls out of nowhere?
When my family was dealing with scam callers shortly after my great-grandmother's funeral, we made it a game of who could make the scammers regret more, whether it was by wasting their time or just make them uncomfortable. A few went away after the line "she's dead" was dropped (they kept calling her house while we were sorting the rest of the after stuff there), but most were more presistant in trying to pull the scam on whoever was in the house, so usually it was the 'waste their time' method. My dad and aunt loved this method and hey, it distracted from the grief. I on the other hand loved the 'make them uncomfortable method' and one time put on my best 'little child' voice and went on about how I was excited to see my great-grandmother after her heavenly choir practice and ask her what Michael Jackson was like in person. Because no one, and I mean NO ONE wants to explain to a little kid, much less someone else's kid, what death is. I can't do that voice anymore but if I could use it on another scammer, I would because the silence from the scammer's side was glorious.
Love interacting with scammers, brilliant!!! . Kept one on line while I ate my dinner, filled the dishwasher etc..He was so angry cos I did keep putting him on hold ( while I emptying dishwasher) then there was someone at the door!!! and keeping him on hold, what a soldier he was. He hung in there for just over 3 hours😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Done that many times. I had this old AM radio, at the bottom of the dial you could tune in a Cantonese language channel at the same time as a country/western channel. Diodes across the speaker to clip the audio a bit...my 'music on hold' for scammers.
Hot damn, that's impressive! Why did he not just hang up?! He could've hung up on you at any point and dialed the next ten plus numbers in that amount of time! Why? I don't understand!
I got SO many spam calls on my work phone. I would answer it, "Blah blah Sheriff's Office, how may I help you?" They'd go right into their scammer spiel, so I had to repeat my greeting, adding, "is this who you intended to call?" If they didn't hang up right away, they would stammer and apologize. Dang, those were some good times!
Here in London uk we get alot. One of my favourites is them calling from an accident insurance thing. They say "hello, we hear you was involved in accident that wast your fault" My favourite reply to them is [whispering] "it wasn't an accident".
I love it when scammers call! When I get the one about extended warranty on my vehicle, I tell them I have a 1932 Ford Coupe! 😂 Other scammer calls, I’ll breathe heavily, and pervertedly say, “I bet you can’t guess what I’m doing!” 😂😂😂
Omfg that last one is craaaazy 😭😭 I love it!! I’m freaked out for the scam callers that have to hear that 😂😂 like what the fuck did I just call??!! 👁️👄👁️
I like to answer with "hey, Judith can't come to the phone right now but if you're calling to confirm the couples anal bleaching appointment, we've got it on the calendar for next Tuesday at 2pm." For some reason, they don't want to talk to me after that.
4:37 *this one hits too close to home!* Stylists are such a hit or miss. They don’t pay you, they most likely don’t mention you in the end, send your stuff back broken and if you are really unlucky they don’t send it back at all. As a designer I learned to be difficult and make them agree to returning it and if anything is dirty or damaged they are responsible for paying for cleaning, paying to fix it and worst case reimbursing me for the entire thing. I have worked with lovely lovely stylist and I have (almost) worked with… less lovely ones. Also if you have ever attended an editorial shoot and see how the clothes get treated you want to faint.
Newest scam in our area, we have an ADT alarm system. A couple guys will come to your house saying they are from ADT and the alarm box is emitting a weak signal, and they need to come in the house to check it. Several things can happen if you let them in: 1. They gain access to your house and rob you 2. They check the alarm, tell you that you need a new panel and install it, then have you sign a “work order” for ADT, but it is really a contract with a new alarm company. Happened to me, talked to them through my Ring doorbell, sent them on their way because it “wasn’t a good time for me”, then called ADT to check. Nope, scammers. P.S. always report scammers like this, ADT keeps a record that you have been scammed (or they tried to scam you) on your account, and ADT also contacts local police that this is going on in your area. Be safe everyone!
That first video was 💯💯💯💯 perfection! 🤣 her voice and delivery was chef’s kiss! That last one with the Uber driver was absolutely mind blowing 🤯🤯🤯 delulu doesn’t cut it rofl! Wtaf!? Police station it is!
Last time some asshat told me they would pay with exposure, I pulled my phone out, called bank of America and handed the phone to the person, and told them, "ask them if you can transfer exposure to my account".
I’ve had calls trying to “help” me get my Windows virus corrected. I say “that’s funny! I don’t even have a computer!” Which is true and they hang up quickly!! 😂
The last time I received a call from a scammer, I laughed so hard! 😂 First, the lady on the phone seemed surprised that I spoke French (welcome to Quebec). Let's say she wasn't used to using her script in French. Then she asks me if I have a computer. I told her no. Taken aback, she asks me if I have a cell phone. I told her once again no. After a short break, she wished me a good day and hung up!😂 This is the first time a scammer hung up on me!😅😂
Charlotte is looking stunning today!! She always is but today especially!! Loving the straight hair. Also I live in Newfoundland and I get the air duct scammers calling me all the time. When I see the number pop up I answer the call and say "Air duct cleaning service, how may I help you today." And they always hang up. It's hilarious to me to say to them what they always say to me. Taste of their own medicine😂
The guy that stole the Uber: it does not matter that he only circled the parking lot, he still committed grand theft auto. Period. I would have called the police after getting him out. That passenger was absolutely unhinged!
I dont have clients because I don't give my art away nor do I loan it out. I can draw any sports team logo, superhéroes, new/old cartoon, & more. People want me to do it for free, but materials are not free.
Many years ago there were two belligerent passengers on the bus home. They wouldn’t get off and were causing chaos. The bus driver locked the doors and drove to the police station that was literally the other side of the roundabout of the bus station and two police officers marched them off and the driver apologised and carried on. Honestly it was an absolute perfect move and everyone was very happy to have them off the bus 😂
My husband and his friend love messing with scammers. He'll pretend to go along for a minute and then start asking inappropriate questions like, "what are you wearing?" LOL
We have scammers that come door to door in the apartments where I live and I screwed them from getting anything one day and the boss lady told me she was going to kick my ass! I said "baby girl don't threaten me with a good time! Let's go then!" She kept running her mouth as she was backing up to her van. I said "No, New bestie, don't leave! Come on I'll even let you have the first hit! AND I might even let you land it!" 😂 She just got in the van and continued to run her mouth! 😢
Back in Charlotte's big friends don't let friends sell MLMs time, that was how I dealt with scammers--started telling them about my (nonexistent) great business opportunity to be their own boss. Best was telling my mom about it and the joy she got when she tried it out on a scammer and made them so angry 😂
When I get calls from accident "lawyers" I agree I was in an accident and tell them I died in it and can they help me come back to life. Confuses the hell out of them!
I work w my mom at a small family-owned business; we get TONS of spam/ scam callers. Just the other day I picked up an obvious spam call & immediately started crunching chips so loudly directly into the receiver that I could hear it echoing on my end. I was answering questions in between loud chomps with my mouth obviously overflowing w food & my mom starts getting all anxious giving me eyes about how rude I was being thinking it was a customer 🤣 she started laughing & caught that it was a scammer once I kept repeating the same nonsensical answer over n over until the caller hung up 😈😂
You can do a pre-authorized payment from a credit card. It holds that amount of money on their credit card designated for you without actually taking the money. When they return the product you can cancel the payment. But if they don't return the product you can get the payment because it's already been pre-authorized. In the construction sales industry this is what we would do
Similar to your duck thing, I had a call from a company called We Fight Any Claim, and I just kept saying “but I don’t have a plane”, to which he said “No, we flight any claim”, so I would say “but sir, I have no plane, how can you fly my plane when I have no plane”. We went round and round at least six times before he gave up 😂. I quite enjoy trying to get hung up on.
We don’t get calls about ducts here (Australia), but constantly someone calls to let me know about the “government plan” to install solar panels. Usually I tell them I have them already (I do), and they just hang up…but sometimes they’re persistent. My favourite one was whenever he suggested something the government was giving me for free and I kept saying I didn’t need them…he went from telling me they were going to install solar panels, to a new hot water service, to a water saving shower head, to energy saving light globes, to door seals…at that point I was like, “Mate…seriously…you and I both know the government isn’t giving me anything for free. What are you going to try next, a free energy efficient house?”….he hung up after that. He did call back though…said a few words in his native language that I’m sure were slurs, then hung up 😂
YES! They are absolutely AMAZING to mess with! My car's extended warranty, you say... why yes, I will waste your time with nonsense and then finally reveal that I have a '99 second-hand Buick. Bwa ha haaaaaaaaa
OMG, that Uber clip! Bravo to the driver for remaining so calm in the beginning, but he should not have exited the vehicle and should have called the cops immediately!
Anytime I get a spam call I say, "Thank you for calling Starbucks, if you're depresso you probably need expresso. What can I get started for ya?" The silence after is the best.
I love when someone makes a fake Facebook profile of my dead grandmother and when they message me I freak out and say, “Oh my gosh grandma!! How are you alive?! Does grandpa know you’re not dead?’” They stop messaging me after that haha.
One day when I was at the Panera to get my zip club drink a scammer called me. The lady standing next to me thought it was hilarious that I told them to fuck off.
My husband does the "town police station how can i help you? Sorry i cant hear you. This is the police station is there a crime you wish to report? " Another tome he did it and it must have been a trainee as he said "oh shit weve called a real police station what do I do ????" All before he cut the line. The panic in his voice was so great
I report and block the numbers. There has been a scam recently with messages targeting parents. They tend to start with " hey mom/dad, my phone fell " and them something about clicking an app link. Always makes me laugh since I don't have kids.
My dad made me agree to a codeword so that if I ever message or call him asking for a large amount of money out of the blue, he knows its me
yeah, me and my asian nana get a good old metal pot and smash it with a spoon! gods, how i love my nana.
Scammers are usually calling out of India. They don’t care if you call the police. The law can’t reach them.

That last one, he actually did steal the car. If you drive even a few feet without the owners consent, it’s stolen.
I don't know why he didn't call the police when the guy refused to get out.
Right? I would have!

Good one!!!
"Just drive him to a police station" THAT'S THE MOVE. It gives 'I'm not stuck in here with you, YOU'RE stuck in here with ME.' He's making it so easy to take him to the police station.
Can't, not insured out of requested trip. Also, the passenger could file for kidnapping
Call the police while in the car… this is staged…
The video says this is “how you handle this situation”. Not really though
I wouldn’t discuss with them after the first request as the person is now trespassing on private property… no threats or discussion just call

The news anchor voice in the first one is PERFECT! ☺️
And it’s a dub from a different video
3 years ago, a news reporter, queen called Jeanette Reyes did it originally. Have a listen to hers as well, its a good laugh... Still works I see...💜
I just commented this😂💕 I said that’s the black news anchor’s voice
There is also one with a news anchor who gets Britney Spears on the phone with the scammer and he actually believed it
She's done other videos like that. She's got one of those great showbiz voices.
How I handle scammers:
1. I speak conversational Japanese, so I just answer in Japanese.
2. I ask them of they're psychic because I died recently and how are they able to talk to me.
3. I pretend I have memory issues and repeat myself a lot.
4. If I have no energy to play, I'll scold them, tell them to find a legit job, and to make sure they drink water.
i tell them to go scam there mother-grandmother if im not feeling up to playing
My son does an absolutely flawless middle Eastern accent on his English. So he just starts talking to them in that English with the Middle Eastern accent right back to them and they lose their minds. 😂😂
I ask them if their parents know what they do for a living and if so are they proud
Ha. When they give their fake names with that Indian accent, I tell them my name is 'Raj Patel'
They usually don't believe me, say I don't sound Indian...and I then advise them to look up the word 'irony', and hang up.
Got that one from a live stream that baits scammers.
The second one is so funny, I love that

If someone does not return your property then DEFINITELY sue them!! The nerve of someone refusing to pay you or return your items and then threatening to send lawyers your way.
Much harder to sue when two countries are involved.
@@kellywolstenholme8134 it would probably be done in claims.

About the Uber driver situation:
If a passenger
A. refuses to leave your vehicle,
B. Cancels the drive once they’re in the car to scam you, or
C. Some other crazy thing
If you decide to drive them back to where you picked them up, or to the police station or anywhere but their destination, you could possibly be charged with kidnapping.
Yeah Ive seen that one too. Someone commented saying she is their local police officer and is lovely

They don't even care. We even got them on our 911 lines!
Whenever my mom would get spam calls, she'd give the phone to my great-grandmother: "Hey, it's your cousin So-and-so, they wanna catch up with you! 😊"
Worked every time
The car scammer triggered me! I'm a bus driver and I've heard stories of people trying to treat buses like Ubers. Like CALL THE COPS ON THIS MAN.
RIGHT, I would not have humored it nearly as long, nor would I want to physically try to pull them out lest they try to claim assault. I'd have called as soon as he refused to get out.
@@PettyDavisEyes Me too. Makes me wonder if it was fake because who calmly sits there and DOESN'T call the cops on this person?
I was SCREAMING for that driver to call the police. We have got to stop letting people behave like this. They belong in a fucking cell.
I personally think that one was staged, like I do believe that people be crazy and stuff like that DOES happen, but I don't think that one was real
Why didn't he take his keys when he left the car?!
So unhinged! 😂 Like Charlotte says, farts will always be funny!
That’s soooo hilarious & immature I’m cackling I love it 🤣
Okay but then he has to talk into that phone… Still, stupid rewards for stupid prizes; call to scam for money, receive only farts.
If on.y smell could be sent down the phone line! Your hubby is a legend!
Last story was the perfect one for Charlotte's famous "JE TELEPHONE A LA POLICE" 🥔
I always answer spam calls with "911, what is your emergency? Please state your name and the location of your emergency. Alright, I understand that you can't answer right now, we will be tracing your location and emergency services are on their way, just stay on the line until we locate you, okay?" Amazingly, they always hang up at this point.
That's amazing
I just answer, "Sheriff's Department, Fraud Division!"
It's hilarious how quickly they hang up! 🤣😂🤣
The uber driver needs to remember if he is going to get out of his car...TAKE THE KEYS WITH HIM!!
That was my thought
I have MAAAADDDDD RESPECT for the Uber driver. The way he stayed calm and collected the entire time. I hope he can channel his frustrations in a healthy way afterwards because that energy needs to get out somehow before it bottles up and explodes after a while 👀 i hope he's okay and that he usually has kind and respectful customers because he really deserves that
Never send artwork without payment. That's a bad business decision.
Wasting scammers' time is hilarious!! 😂
I think she should have charged a deposit. To be returned minus shipping when the product is returned.
I do tell older people to be careful, anytime I can. That really pisses me off. 😡😡😡
😢
My mom won't get scammed by the computer ones. She doesn't have one.
I put it n my best customer service voice and pretend they called my call center and act confused when I can’t find their account. I love it.
Brilliant! You saved many other people from getting spam calls in 3 hours!
IRLRosie raises trolling scammers to an art form. She's brilliant. Her channel is hilarious.
That wasn't her, though. She lip synced reporter Jeannette Reyes. Jeannette should have received credit. Her channel @MsNewsLady is great.
If I had ducks in my house, they'd be wearing bow ties and getting pup cups.
Here in London uk we get alot. One of my favourites is them calling from an accident insurance thing. They say "hello, we hear you was involved in accident that wast your fault"
My favourite reply to them is [whispering] "it wasn't an accident".
Every time you say ducts, i keep hearing ducks. 😂😂 Duck cleaning services definitely sounds like a scam. 🤣
Had one of those warranty calls. Told them I have 300,000 miles on my car so you still want to sell me a warranty. Answer was no and they hung 😂up.
I like to answer with "hey, Judith can't come to the phone right now but if you're calling to confirm the couples anal bleaching appointment, we've got it on the calendar for next Tuesday at 2pm."
For some reason, they don't want to talk to me after that.
Omg the last one is GENIUS 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Several things can happen if you let them in:
1. They gain access to your house and rob you
I've had many calls from "windows-department" :p I said " I don't use Windows, I use Doors 20. " And then they get silent ;-)
I’ve had calls trying to “help” me get my Windows virus corrected. I say “that’s funny! I don’t even have a computer!” Which is true and they hang up quickly!! 😂
Dude, that uber dude got... incredibly lucky. I've definitely been in ubers where the driver gave no sh**s and would have absolutely decked the guy.
As they should
that driver has unworldly patience. most uber drivers would make him an example
Wow!
Great art reels. You drew them yourself? 😮Unbelievable😍
OOP, A LITTLE WEIRD CAUSE HES MARRIED BUT STILL FUNNY…..LOL
Fight fire with fire. Nice! I have no gift for that sort of thing so you have my admiration. I go for the simple route… I don’t answer at all!
oooh I like that - can't play a playa!
When I get calls from accident "lawyers" I agree I was in an accident and tell them I died in it and can they help me come back to life. Confuses the hell out of them!
That's great!
NEVER exit your vehicle without the keys!!!!!!! And that passenger can still face a felony for the joy ride he did around the parking lot!
In the construction sales industry this is what we would do
That sounds like a great idea 🙂 I think she should try that
Nice
Similar to your duck thing, I had a call from a company called We Fight Any Claim, and I just kept saying “but I don’t have a plane”, to which he said “No, we flight any claim”, so I would say “but sir, I have no plane, how can you fly my plane when I have no plane”. We went round and round at least six times before he gave up 😂. I quite enjoy trying to get hung up on.
WTF 😮😅 the last guy should have taken the 5 bucks, lock him in and drive him to the next police station, LOL
Literally
That's what I'd have done, drive him to the police department
It is a skit. They made it as a guide. He even says it as the end. It is super old.
0:55 Duct Tales WHOO-HOOOO!
sang it in my head!
Stop!!!! Thats too funny 😂😂😂
Life is like a hurricane here in Duckburg!
❤
@@dracofirexnot pony tales or cotton tales no duck tales woo-hoo
He did call back though…said a few words in his native language that I’m sure were slurs, then hung up 😂
I always want a scammer call after watching videos like this. 😂
Do you want mine??! 😂😂🙂
As someone who has been scammed, these bring me great joy!❤
"Sir! Please stop screaming, you're scaring my ducks!!!"
The first one has the perfect on-air voice
I love when someone makes a fake Facebook profile of my dead grandmother and when they message me I freak out and say, “Oh my gosh grandma!! How are you alive?! Does grandpa know you’re not dead?’” They stop messaging me after that haha.
OMG!! We have been gracefully gifted with two videos in a row! Thank you Charlotte 😍
That Uber driver was a hell of a lot more patient than I could ever be!
One day when I was at the Panera to get my zip club drink a scammer called me. The lady standing next to me thought it was hilarious that I told them to fuck off.
THAT UBER STORY IS RAISING MY BLOOD PRESSURE WTF IS WTONG WITH THAT GUY I WOULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE
Or drive to the nearest police station!
Regarding the duct cleaning scam: My wife and I pretend to be from the east coast and ask how much per duck, and weather they do geese as well.
I love one that my FIL uses when getting scam calls; "Attorney General's office. How may I direct your call?" In a super sweet, pleasant tone
My husband does the "town police station how can i help you? Sorry i cant hear you. This is the police station is there a crime you wish to report? " Another tome he did it and it must have been a trainee as he said "oh shit weve called a real police station what do I do ????" All before he cut the line. The panic in his voice was so great
Charlotte, I never comment on videos. But your whole look is everything! Your top, makeup, hair..you look stunning! ❤
I report and block the numbers.
There has been a scam recently with messages targeting parents. They tend to start with " hey mom/dad, my phone fell " and them something about clicking an app link.
Always makes me laugh since I don't have kids.
Are these messeges international?? They are going around in Denmark rn . If I get a text like that i know it's fake. Don't have kids 😂
@@LulleH1982 Yes, they are.
