Swagnemite in my honest opinion, mega audino is ass cheeks. Maybe its good in whatever tier its in (RU i guess), but outside of tiering and compared to other mega pokemon, mega audino sucks.
Sorry Tamashii, but I honestly think this top 10 is rather inaccurate but you try and push it like you really know what you're talking about. I'm not going to tell you how to play but alot of the competitively worse mega's didn't even make this list while other powerhouses that get a lot of respect were on this list and generally at the bottom of it.
lestermeganice Sableye has 1 weakness, cannot be status'd has high defensive stats, gets STAB Dark/Ghost, has recovery. It's about as good as Mega Slowbro for a Calm Mind Attacker. Mega-Heracross is a powerful Stall/Wall Breaker, there is hardly a thing that switches into it even by prediction.
Her top 10 can't be "inaccurate" since it's her OPINION. She clearly stated that at the beginning of her video and said that you are free to feel otherwise.
Mega Hera Cross doesn't get a lot of Multi-Hit Moves? Rock Blast? Pin Missile? Bullet Seed? Arm Thrust? Sure the speed loss is annoying, but you didn't even research that
duke caliblap Legit Question, if Rock Blast, Pin missile and Bullet Seed hits a lot of types Super Effectively, why would it need to be diverse? By the way, You can still run Close Combat and Knock off
its not that they picked audino. its the fact that they made it shit with its ability for vgc. they really love vgc double battles and its dumb. probably with mega gallade has inner focus because of they haxy/luck nature of doubles relying on confusion and flinches.
I honestly love using mega absol Bulky steel types like forretress/ferrothorn/scizor? FIRE BLAST 'EM You wanna burn me? TOO BAD, MAGIC BOUNCE. Wanna attack me? SUCKA PUNCH, SUCKA. Dark or fighting types that wall me? LET'S PLAY. ROUGH. Hey, nice item you got there.. it would be a shame is someone.. KNOCKED IT OFF.
lestermeganice Putting a Glass Canon in front of someone who has a Super Effective move against isn't that smart to begin with, so your argument is kinda invalid... And trust me. If Mega Absol wasn't so frail it would be OU for sure. But some pokés can't be too OP, can they?
*'Top 10 best-' video * "Yeah, although I don't agree with this list, it's still interesting! Great job!" *'Top 10 worst-' video * "OMG HOW DAER U INSALT MY FAV THINGSS! EVEN THOUGH YOU EXPLAINED HOW THE LIST IS OPINION ITS A DIRECT INSULT TO MY EEXISTANCE" Come on guys
You usually have well-researched videos. This one...not so much. For example, you sad mega steelix sets up sand when it doesn't. I can understand having a few mistakes here and there, but this one just really seems clumsy and not up to your usual standards.
***** no need to be condescending in that response. He was just giving her constructive criticism. You can't expect people to realize their mistakes by kissing their ass and saying nothing.
TamashiiHiroka Personally I would of put Mega Audino on this list. It's awful. I would move up Mega Banette and put Mega Audino as Number 1. Also not many Mega's can outdamage their base form with a Choice Band on except like Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Mence, Mega Metagross and Mega Lucario (Which all seem to be the most broken Mega's)
sonicrules876542 Mega Metagross is not broken by any means. It's definitely OU material, but it does not belong in Ubers like the others. Mega Metagross always underperforms for me. He is OK, but not on the same level as the others you mentioned.
It's an editing thing. You can create a still text and can use it multiple times in Adobe Premiere Pro. So that's what she did, but forgot to double check the spelling :P
Have you used them ever? Mega Heracross is in ou because he has a much better move pool with skill link and hes bulky as fuck.Mega sableye is in ru but destiny bond prankster plus a reall high attack stat for shadow sneak is really strong.
I have a mega houndoom I use for sweeping, and honestly he's one of my favorites. I don't go anywhere without my baby. Flamethrower and inferno kick ass with this guy. And I combine Groudon with my Houndoom and they wipe the floor with people. His speed is high as is his SA, so if he moves first he isn't gonna get KO'd. I guess like she said you just work it into your team :)
I use Mega Banette as my favorite mega. Destiny bond is for me, more of a "scare you opponent" thing than a suicidal option. Knock off, Shadow sneak, destiny bond and i alternate protect sometimes with snatch, for those swords dance/calm mind/recover treats :P I've easly swept with half the team of the most common OU teams in showdown with this "worst mega". I know you're not hating on him, but as you said yourself... it's just a matter of finding how to use it. I don't even have to build my team around him.. he's just my little death pokemon.
Since Garchomp's my fav Pokemon, I'll share my opinion about him... He looks AMAZING, and his increased attack is great, but his loss of speed makes him kinda not worth the mega slot since regular Garchomp has more speed... He's THE MACH POKEMON!!! And he loses speed? THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!
BREAKING NEWS: Garchomp now has access to Scale Shot, a Dragon type move that increases speed. Now it and its mega in showdown can increase their speed.
Wow, my god, reading the comment section is like a war zone, jesus. Everyone saying "lol really? dis mega better doe den list" needs to remember these are her *opinions*, as she clearly stated at the beginning of the video, on the top 10 worst or as she mentioned least best megas. doesn't mean each of them(the list) doesnt have a niche they can use to be competitively viable. You all need to chill, seriously. It just game, why you heff to be mad?
And people are giving their opinions on why they think otherwise, it is fine for people to discuss what they think should and shouldn't be on this list if they have good reasons.
You say that mega Banette is the worst mega evolution in your opinion, but in my opinion it's one of the best. Don't get me wrong prankster is very weird but if you give it the move pool of Phantom Force, Gunk Shot, Substitute and Thunder Wave it is a force to be reckoned with. Using thunder wave and then paralyzing the enemies on the first turn is great but then spam substitute until they are paralyzed again makes it even better for you. After you have a substitute in and a paralyzed pokemon, use phantom force to sweep their entire team. At lv 50 with 252 evs in speed and attack with an adamant nature, 238 attack and 127 speed is great considering the drop in speed the other pokemon gets being paralyzed.
Vlad Velasquez I agree that that does need a bit of a workaround, but using Sucker Punch on the first turn and T wave on subsequent turns is way more effective than one might imagine. Very fun and effective to use, and also pretty fun to play against too.
Vlad Velasquez Just run and use knock off when you mega evolve. Nothing really appreciates knock off anyway and most times it deals so much dmg that Shadow Sneak will finish them off or you can destiny bond if it is tread you need out or switch out yourself. Just remember run 252 hp 252 att, so you can live almost any none stab+ super effective move.
I thought she was making a joke about her hair, since it's pink, but on Twitter she calls it "pank" as a joke. I don't know if it was that or a typo haha
This whole video, I'm just sitting here like "Oh God, she's gonna say Banette at any moment" Then when I saw Sableye for a second I was like "Oh Jesus" Then when I thought I was home free, boom! Mega Banette is the worst mega. Oh well, Banette may not be too useful, but I still love it *huggles my Banette*
Yeah! Mega Sableye SUCKS. All you need is a good hard hitting dark type/ghost type with enemy defense and special defense lowering moves and you'll be all set!
But requires a pokemon that knows Trick Room (I think the list is about the lack of moves or pokemon needs something more to be useful + lost of ability and item and not Pokémon itself)
Honestly, if it weren't for its ability, Mega Abomasnow could be very useful. It's a great mixed attacker with STAB Ice Shard to overcome it's awful speed, but the hail just makes it so difficult to build a good team around
***** and that is exactly her point. To make use of Abomasnow, you have to build a team around it, which wastes around 2 slots actually making Abomasnow good...
Mega Alakazam. It loses the Magic Guard ability, a really useful ability that negates non-attacking damage (including Life Orb)...for Trace, which could give you a poor ability to couple with Alakazam. And while it's faster and has base 175 Special Attack, Life Orb Alakazam hits harder than Mega Alakazam, gets an ability that could ultimately be worse (depending on the situation)...oh, and Mega Alakazam is the only Mega Pokémon whose Base Stat Total is raised by only 90 points instead of 100. Where are those 10 extra points?
SSBBPOKEFAN But Mega Ampharos still got a BST boost of 100, plus the 10 extra points from the switch from Gen 5 to Gen 6. It's 100 from Gen 5 Alakazam to Gen 6 Mega Alakazam, but that would mean that Ampharos got a 110 BST boost from Gen 5 to Gen 6 with Mega Evolutions.
IKR? What's even more surprising is the fact that she didn't comment on her new Hartman Hips. What's only equally surprising to me is the fact that she didn't add Mega Audino, as unlike every other mega, it actually SUCKS compared to her champion brethren (Well, except Mega Beedrill, poor guy got the shit end of the stick.)
Except it's worst through play. Mega Lopunny is actually pretty strong. With 136 base atk and 135 base speed, along with High jump kick, return (since it has to evolve via friendship) and ice punch or thunder punch AND scrappy, it really has no downside to it. Not to mention its defenses sit in the mid 90s too. Yeah hp isn't anything amazing but where does Mega Lopunny fall off?
the feminazi not doing that is a shock but tamashii is still the worst. for many reasons. I'm shocked she actually enabled commnts again of course she modifies the comments now to her liking.
Recently my love for mega houndoom has increased greatly. I use one on my showdown team and it is a beast. Here's what I do. Scolipede 1 or 2 speed boosts, Baton pass to houndoom. Mega evolve, substitute, nasty plot, then sweep the opponent with dark pulse and flame thrower. If I need to heal, wish umbreon. Also mega houndoom looks badass as well. However I do understand if people don't like it but that's just me.
Mega Sableye. MEGA SABLEYE. Ok. OK. WHAT. Mega sableye is going to be suspected in either monotype or OU or possibly both at any time to see if it needs to go to ubers. (Which it obviously does, I mean god.) So here's why mega sableye is good. Ok, so you know how mega evolving on a turn doesn't change the turn order? That means the turn you mega evolve, you still get prankster to will-o-wisp whatever you need to, plus you get the bulk of a god. Obviously you don't believe the bulk, but it's real. It gets +50 base stat in each defense stat. 252+ Atk Mega Blaziken Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Sableye: 156-184 (51.3 - 60.5%) -- 90.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery **Adamant** Mega blaziken flare blitz barely 2hkos, and it only would 2hko because you can't will-o-wisp it. 252+ Atk Mega Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Sableye: 109-129 (35.8 - 42.4%) -- 88.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery Mega metagross gets completed dismantled, not even 2hkoing and getting wow'd immediately. 252 SpA Life Orb Greninja Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Sableye: 133-156 (43.7 - 51.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO One of the former most powerful attackers in OU has a difficult time 2hko, which it won't generally. Now let's see what mega sableye does to combat and put the enemy team in jeopardy. Here's the standard set I see: Sableye @ Sablenite Impish Nature 252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp Def -Calm Mind -Dark Pulse -Will-o-wisp -Recover So Mega Sableye sets up a calm mind, and basically wins. After a calm mind, you can dark pulse everything to death, bounce away any possible status coming at you, recover off any damage, and will-o-wisp any manageable threat to you, which doesn't exist in OU. In short, mega sableye destroys the entire game and wins on its own, and calling it bad, top three worst mind you, is radical and outrageous.
Okay, what about if THIS happened? Pokecole sent out MEGA SABLEYE!! Sable set: Calm Mind, Dark Pulse, Will-O-Wisp, Recover Unicorn sent out GENGAR! Gengy Set: Curse, Mean Look, Hex, Shadow Ball SABLEYE used CALM MIND! GENGAR used CURSE! SABLEYE used DARK PULSE! GENGAR fainted! SABLEYE was hurt by the CURSE! Then you send out a bunch of pokemon with focus sashes, and move's like toxic, will-o-wisp, stealth rock, and hex and soon sableye will be dead.
Half of these Pokemon shouldn't have even been on this list. I clicked on this expecting a list of borderline non-viable Mega Evolutions / Mega Evolutions that have almost nothing over their regular forms, but instead got a list of maybe three Pokemon that met that criteria and a bunch of Mega Evolutions that were improvements over their regular forms that made the list anyway. Let's go down the list: Mega Heracross - Have you played OU lately? This thing is a monster, and to argue that it's not much of an improvement over regular Heracross is asinine. 185 base Attack makes it an insane wallbreaker, with Skill Link making its multi-hit moves like Rock Blast and Pin Missile hit as hard as possible. Regular Heracross, on the other hand, is the one who has almost nothing, especially compared to other Fighting-types. Mega Absol - Hello? A Thundurus-proof, Mega Sableye-proof sweeper sounds pretty nice. Mega Aerodactyl - Come on, it's pretty clear that the Attack stat and Tough Claws are not what make Mega Aerodactyl usable. It's that amazing Speed stat. 150 base Speed? That's fast enough to outspeed a lot of +1 Dragon Dance sweepers and some of the new Megas (see: Mega Lopunny, Mega Sceptile) without a Choice Scarf. And besides, any power difference between Mega Aero and regular Life Orb Aero is practically negligible, so I'll take the one that doesn't deal 10% to itself every time it attacks. Mega Sableye - .... I quit. This thing is a Magic Bounce user that beats almost every Stealth Rock setter 1v1 (with the exceptions of Clefable and Mega Diancie.) This thing is basically the new face of stall, something that regular Sableye could only dream of claiming. Mega Glalie - I don't know how you can argue that this should have made the list when it's a very clear improvement over its original form. And besides, an Explosion that powerful (almost as powerful BP-wise as pre-nerf Explosion after taking into account Refrigerate and STAB) with no immunities and much better offensive coverage than Normal gives this thing a pretty clear-cut niche. I'm sorry, I used to like your videos, but with Mega Sableye getting this high on a list titled "Top 10 Worst Mega Evolutions" when any decent OU player can testify as to how strong this thing is proves that you don't know what you're talking about. Unsubscribed.
I don't agree with anything of this. Mega abomasnow is extremely good in trick room. With snow warning and quiet nature, it can 1-hko a lot of Pokemon. Same with mega heracross. Mega houndoom is also useful. It can get off damage, and then use destiny bond. Mega absol can learn a lot of useful move and get off a lot of damage. I have other things to say, but I don't feel like complaining about this:/
The problem with m-abomasnow it's that trick room is too gimmicky and it has a x4 weakness to fire, mega houndoom is too frail and only worksproperly in the sun, and absol has terrible speed in the first turn of mega evolution and terrible defenses, leaving it vulnerable to priority, but i agree on something, she didn't botber to investigate half of the list, sableye, heracross, steelix and glalie are quite useful.
On anything that can't do masive damage to it, and with those defenses switching in is very dangerous, and everyone knows about sucker punch, it's a must on absol so it's very predictable.
bowser12321 It's not that giimicky at all...its actually one of the best anti-metagame moves in the game. In a game where EVERYTHING that is overused has only speed and offense investment in a 1-shot race...taking away that speed (aka literally half of their EVs), it pretty much trolls most metagamers into losing due to packing nothing that's actually EV trained to be bulky. My Solrock, Cradily, Sudowoodo, Golem, Duksnoir, Shuckle, Umbreon, Honchcrow, Malamar, Sylveon, and much much more have defeated Uber legends with ease...shocking ease...
Megas that shouldn't be on this list: Heracross, Aerodactyl, Sableye First of all, although CB Heracross has more initial attack you forgot two important things: Swords Dance and the abilty to change moves which makes it much harder to wall and far less prediction reliant. I am certain that Adamant MegaAerodactyl is stronger than Jolly LO Aerodactyl, essentially you are taking advantage of the speed boost by putting more into attack rather than speed. You also completely forgot about its increase in bulk which allows it to be a reliable check to flying spam and a decent stallbreaker with taunt/roost. I don't know if you've ever faced a Mega Sableye because it's pretty much a complete monster as either a CM user or stallbreaker. Not to mention that it's a Magic Bounce user that can actually switch in safely on most Stealth Rock users. Megas that should've been on this list: Audino, Garchomp, Latios Mega Audino is mostly held back by it's mediocre ability and typing which leaves it outclasssed by similar pokemon, not too much else to say here. Garchomp is far more effected by it's speed drop than MegaHeracross because of how many impotant pokemon are base 100 speed which has been an impotant benchmark for many generations. Also Garchomp is already a great pokemon while it's mega isn't a significant boost to its effectiveness and arguably even worse than the normal form because of its speed. Latios is in the same boat as Garchomp. While its mega is by no means bad, LO Latios is already so good. Additionally it's only major benefit is increased bulk but in terms of a bulky dragon/psychic type Latias and Mega Latias outclasses it.
I suggest that you check with someone with more experience in competitive pokemon before making another video like this. Finally, I just want to say that most of these commenters are only trying to give constructive criticism so that you can make a more accurate video in the future. I am not saying that you should just look at Smogon viability rankings and list off megas from there, I am simply saying that these things shoudn't be based on casual opinion when you imply that this video will help in choosing a mega for a serious team.
So... quick question. Why do you keep showing Mega Mewtwo Y as a example of a good Mega? Yes, it is decent.... But it's banned from any official format. So... why not show Mega Kangaskhan or something along those lines? Maybe Mega Salamence? (And yes, I know these are banned in Smogon's format... but that's but one rule set. Not the official Gamefreak set.... And at least you did show Mega Gengar, one of the best Megas in the whole game. So there is that.)
mega banette is soooooo useful. a lot of people don't realize that this mega is all about PRIORITY and making life hell for your opponent. 1. He has access to shadow sneak AND sucker punch. 2. Can burn a physical threat, paralyze it or confuse it. 3. Once you've done all you can do with him and your backs against the wall, he gets d bond to TAKE YOUR ATTACKER DOWN WITH YOU. He's just a menace, I use him in my RU team and I find him pretty helpful.
Um...Heracross can't take advantage of Skill link. *Thinks about Pin Missile, Rock blast, and Bullet seed* I think you should rethink that Tamashi because that's not a good point.
yeah i agree. i dont really know why mega absol is on this list either, especially since it's way better than mega houndoom. Kinda odd that she'd put it below doom and doom is easily probably the top 5 worst mega in the game.
KS Ng the difference is mega hera is much bulkier and works as bulky sweeper, not a late game sweeper like normal Hera. It also has slightly better move coverage and beats sash pokemon. Its not good, dont get me wrong, but putting it over something like Mega Audino is a little fucking weird haha.
Mega Heracross: Have Scolipede speed boost a couple times + swords dance, baton pass to mega heracross, use pin missile/rock blast with skill link, win
Every mega evolution is good in it's own way . For example , try to build a team around mega Pidgeot . Giva it many clean switches with lots of Volt switch and u-turn , so it can fire hurricane after hurricane after hurricane . Another example from the list . Mega Sableye , make it bold max HP max Def with calm mind and recover . Find the perfect opportunity and set up on something . Magic bounce will protect you from status moves and with fairy being its only weakness you dont have to worry too much . You dont have to play offensively every turn you are in battle . Also mega Absol . Set up a swords dance in the correct time . You sweep . Mega Steelix . Use it under trick room or under sandstorm . Or under both . You haven't seen so much power , trust me ! Mega pokemon must not be the go-to guy but the key to victory . Some megas are all out offensive . Others need more strategy behind them . The pokemon you have in your list need good strategy in-order to work . The reason why all of those pokemon are in your list is because not many trainers can use them correctly .
jayjay86443 List isnt complete but most of them are Poketubers who don't know anything what they are saying or some people whos speech you cannot understand at all.
jayjay86443 I concur, I hesitate to watch anything he post because I don't want it in my history even though I can delete it, his voice is annoying, and he talks about the stupidest things like Pokemon that need a mega evolution and why. I just think his reasons are dumb...
sorta.. its a bit confusing. While it is based on the gen 3 games, it uses gen 6 mechanics, so technically its a gen 6 game. sorta like how HG and SS were remakes of gen 2, but are still counted as gen 4. Though i think it all depends on peoples opinions. Some people would consider ORAS gen 3, other gen 6, and some gen 7. Its all in the eye of the beholder.
TheSSVNormandy actually it is because if you mega evolve 1 of em then you have 3 Pokémon with wasted potential in their item slots 2 Megas should be as high as you go
Personally, I like Mega Houndoom. Yeah, its typing, its defenses, and its Solar Power ability makes it a bit fragile, but when paired with a Mienshao, the two can deal some serious damage.
Having used Mega-Houndoom extensively, I have to disagree with that one most viciously. Your HP doesn't matter if you are not getting hit and he fills a unique nitch for Mega-Pokemon. With perfect coverage across all fields and devastating STAB hits, one of which also gets boosted by sun, he is a much more reliable sweeper than Pokemon like say Blaziken who is ridiculously overhyped for how useful he actually is. Also worth mentioning, the list of stuff here that can support Abomasnow is a lot shorter than the real list. I don't even like Abomasnow, but Overcoat and Magic Guard are things that exist. If you want to make a Hail team there are definitely options. They might very limited, but you can argue that also makes them more effective than Sandstorm teams as your opponent is unlikely to ever have a Pokemon that benefits from Hail.
My friend used a Mega Absol. He said he bred 76 generations of inbred Absol to get it. One of two things would happen. A: "Meet the result of 76 generations of..." Absol faints "BWAAAAHH" B: "Meet the results of 76 generations of..." My attack missed..."Oh...I actually got the sword dance off." *Proceeds to sweep my entire team" Even though he would outright declare how much it sucked, it was one of his favorite pokemon to use.
When I saw Mega Sableye as #3 on this list, I honestly laughed. This thing is sitting in OU S Rank on Smogon. That's as good as you can get without going to Uber. If this thing gets set up, you are screwed. The only thing that can really scare this thing is a critical hit, or an Unaware Clefable. Even regular fairies don't scare it if it gets set-up. But it can be paired with say a Scizor to make all the fairies go away. Mega Sableye also gets Magic Bounce, so you can't Toxic it to death. If you try to toxic it, it toxics you without taking up its turn.
Mega Banette running Phantom Force, HP Fighting, Toxic, and Will-O-Wisp is actually a force to be reckoned with. It doesn't really seem like it, but this set packs a punch.
Design-wise all of the mega evos are utterly horrible honestly. Plus they break the game like you wouldn't believe. I hope gen 8 does the world a favor and simply fades them out forever.
There are 2 types of pokemon players. The one who picks a team of pokemon that he/she thinks are cool looking and decent enough to beat the game and is happy playing the game as it is, and the other one who analyses their pokemon's stats to fight other people who analyse their pokemon's stats and gets frustrated most of the time.
Mega Banette? Why? It's a great Mega. It's the reason I won the Elite 4. Just teach it Sucker Punch and haul ass. No joke, I OHKO'ed 3 of Steven's Pokemon with Mega Banette and Sucker Punch. And my Banette was level 57.
I find it rather unfortunate that unpopular Pokemon got the short end of the stick. For instance, I was hoping Mega Lopunny would get the 100 extra stats split between the stats 60/40 while the special attack was reduced to the lowest ten and split 50/50 between the other two, but this is a game where Charizard and Mewtwo got two megas and Rayquaza's mega can still hold items. It seems like Gamefreak is literally punishing you for having an original team.
If you want to set up stealth rocks on mega sableye, WHOOPS MAGIC BOUNCE! You want to remove those stealth rocks you just gave yourself, whoops I'm a ghost, you want to sweep, will-o-wisp like a boss, you think you can just kill me, foul play. Nuff said
With Beedrill as my favorite Pokemon, I was so scared that she would start saying something along the lines of "It's a polished turd". Around the 4th position, I was scared about Beedrill making the list.
I use mega sableye as an annoyer that boosts itself up to a tank: EVs on the defensive stats, some hp and a little bit on the special attack. First change it into its mega form to avoid hidden rocks, toxin etc., use "will-o-wisp" to harm the enemy and get its attack down, next use "calm mind" multiple times to build up a strong defense against special attacks while healing with "recover" whenever needed (which doesn't occur too often) and finally take the enemy out with the attack on the last slot, either "shadow ball" or "dark pulse" to get stab and also the special attack bonus from calm mind. I've taken out Troy solely with my sableye that was at lvl 46 when i started (reminder: his pokemon are all at least on lvl 57), and although i know you can win with a bunch of magikarp in the main story, i've never been disappointed by it in any other fight either. (It takes very much time to play that way, though)
Banette can learn thunder wave which will help with his average speed and his mega form having prankster makes that priority, this then gives it the opportunity to use shadow claw, or phantom force if you want, which would do a fair bit of damage. alternatively you can set up sticky web before hand providing they don't have rapid spin
I would like to point a few things out in defense of mega sableye- The first turn sableye mega evolves, it still has access to the prankster priority boost. Plus, if the opponent isn't expecting it, sableye can in effect use two moves per turn, due to magic bounce. It can't be taunted, or statused effectively either.
Mega sableye is one of the best burn stalls in the game. Magic bounce prevents toxic and leech seed, as well as taunt. It has access to hex, or night shade if you're toxic stalling. It also gets recover. Combine that with immunities to psychic, fighting, and normal, and you can wall any physical sweeper.
Mega Sableye is life. I've had great success online with it. Calm mind as sableye first turn with prankster, mega evolve next turn while using calm mind again. The fun begins after that.
It doesn't always have to be only one mega slot. All six can have mega and as you said most of them are strong enough already, it comes down to your decision to use the mega with appropriate battle and foe.
I'm sorry but my Sableye has recovery and can learn moves that continue to boosts it's defenses while have moves that cause damaging status effects, while it's mega form protects it from direct status effects or stat debuffs. Also since it's speed stat is low, payback is damn useful with the type bonus and being hit bonus (which is likely to happen). If built properly, Mega Sableye can be a strong tank. It being on this list might be an opinion but I have to say, it does make it look like a lack of proper time planning builds for it but hey, Mega Audino has a chance of removing status effects each turn and can heal it's self but not really stop people from continuously applying status effects when Mega Audino hits the 30% chance to heal it's status effect (giving it a chance to not heal for a while) while having no defense from being debuffed along the way. It's definitely a better Mega then Sableye's while Sableye's Mega can cut most of those issues completely out of the equation.
Mega Absol isn't meant to be a sweeper. It's used as a Magic Bouncer....bassicly switching it in on common used moves like Spikes, Toxic Spikes, etc to reverse them on to your opponent.
BRO how can you have Lord Heracross, King Aerodactly, and the overpowered Sableye on here but not the first ever 100% worthless mega, Audino? It makes bad megas look good.
I have to say I was ready to write you off as a pretentious twit, but I just can't. You were very down to earth and not even cynical. I'm digging this. Congrats on making me pull a full 180.
with the mega pidgeot, when you used that smogon strategy example for move set and said it wasnt that good, if you scroll down from that it tells you a smart way to use its moves
I agree with most of the list. Very well thought out; I just disagree with Mega Sableye. While it loses Prankster upon Mega Evolving, it's a great lead because even if you evolve it on the first turn, prankster can still be in effect while Magic Bounce can bounce away any Stealth Rocks, Spikes, Toxic, Taunt, Will-o-Wisps, etc. It then loses Prankster on the Second Turn, but can be very annoying if it's Bold with Calm Mind, Will-o-Wisp, Dark Pulse, and Recover. After it gets really bulky, you can't little down its health with status. The best thing you can hope for is a Clefable with Unaware.
Mega Absol is definitely better than Mega Houndoom
Mega Absol is the best mega around!
-Love your vids!
I Love your videos shofu, keep up the hard work :3
shofu tha god has spoken.!
ayee shofu pokemon god
The legendary Shofu...
Mega audino apparently is better than every mega on this list. 10/10 m8
***** Yes it is better. In fact it is amazing. Don't r8 b4 you know what the fuck you are talking about m80s
Swagnemite 8/8 d8 m8

***** But for reals, mega audino puts in so much work.
Can you specify those "powerhouses"?
lestermeganice Sableye, for example.
lestermeganice heracross. Banette
lestermeganice Sableye has 1 weakness, cannot be status'd has high defensive stats, gets STAB Dark/Ghost, has recovery.
Arm Thrust?
Sure the speed loss is annoying, but you didn't even research that
Ryn Lol, exactly four move for your slots haha
That's only 4 moves, not really a diverse move pool
duke caliblap Legit Question, if Rock Blast, Pin missile and Bullet Seed hits a lot of types Super Effectively, why would it need to be diverse? By the way, You can still run Close Combat and Knock off
I don't understand that out of all of 5th gen, they pick Audino... really?
I know right! Why not something with a fanbase like Scrafty or Hydreigon?
Finn Corcoran both of those pokemons are ugly
Finn Corcoran gamefreak like to troll us
***** It's good but I don't like it.
its not that they picked audino. its the fact that they made it shit with its ability for vgc. they really love vgc double battles and its dumb. probably with mega gallade has inner focus because of they haxy/luck nature of doubles relying on confusion and flinches.
I honestly love using mega absol
Bulky steel types like forretress/ferrothorn/scizor? FIRE BLAST 'EM
You wanna burn me? TOO BAD, MAGIC BOUNCE.
Wanna attack me? SUCKA PUNCH, SUCKA.
Dark or fighting types that wall me? LET'S PLAY. ROUGH.
Hey, nice item you got there.. it would be a shame is someone.. KNOCKED IT OFF.
60/60 defenses. A freackin mach punch will kill it.
probably would die from a mega stelix's bullet punch.
To put it into comparison: A Bibarel has the same defense.
lestermeganice
Putting a Glass Canon in front of someone who has a Super Effective move against isn't that smart to begin with, so your argument is kinda invalid...
And trust me. If Mega Absol wasn't so frail it would be OU for sure. But some pokés can't be too OP, can they?
lestermeganice
So don't stay in on a mach punch?
Still pisses me off that Mega Absol is still Dark type and not Dark/Fairy.
*'Top 10 best-' video * "Yeah, although I don't agree with this list, it's still interesting! Great job!"
*'Top 10 worst-' video * "OMG HOW DAER U INSALT MY FAV THINGSS! EVEN THOUGH YOU EXPLAINED HOW THE LIST IS OPINION ITS A DIRECT INSULT TO MY EEXISTANCE"
Come on guys
THANK YOU!
pro trick: watch movies on kaldrostream. Been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Holden Howard Yea, have been using KaldroStream for since november myself :D
@Holden Howard yup, have been watching on kaldroStream for since december myself =)
@Holden Howard Yea, I have been watching on kaldrostream for months myself =)
Salty comments bitching about an opinion video are salty.
oh look a tamashii white knight
Nope. Try again maybe?
plz repeat i do not understand
people die if they are killed.
So....Steelix made the list, but Audino didn´t....
Audino is boss from what I've heard. Aparently one of the best support pokemon right now.
TylerDaDragon Yeah, but you seriously will waste your mega on support.
TheHiddenSquid I'd rather have my mega be a good support like Audino as compared to a mediocre support like Steelix
***** Also Helping Hand, heal Pulse and Trick Room, a monster supporter in doubles!
Brandon Roberts me too, but it really doesn't work on every team. But it's really good in doubles.
You usually have well-researched videos. This one...not so much. For example, you sad mega steelix sets up sand when it doesn't. I can understand having a few mistakes here and there, but this one just really seems clumsy and not up to your usual standards.
DriftingTerra It was a mistake, I misread Sand Force as Sand Stream, oops.
***** Woke up on the wrong side of the bed?
Not once, but TWICE was Prankster mispelled as Pankster
I also misspelled misspelled
PAAAAAAAAAANK!
Thank god I'm not the only one who noticed that! xD
It's an editing thing. You can create a still text and can use it multiple times in Adobe Premiere Pro. So that's what she did, but forgot to double check the spelling :P
6:13 it actually shows Pankster instead of Prankster.
Mr. Mxzyplk twice.
cyka blyat acualy it didn't if u look closely
Mega Sableye is a fucking beast lol. And what the hell why are Banette and Heracross even on this list?
Mega Banette and Mega Heracross suck.
No they dont they are actually pretty good.
Dragonic ,Overlord No, they straight up suck.
Have you used them ever? Mega Heracross is in ou because he has a much better move pool with skill link and hes bulky as fuck.Mega sableye is in ru but destiny bond prankster plus a reall high attack stat for shadow sneak is really strong.
Choice scarf Heracross> Mega Heracross in moveset and overall usefulness, you're better off using a different mega.
Knock off, Shadow sneak, destiny bond and i alternate protect sometimes with snatch, for those swords dance/calm mind/recover treats :P
I've easly swept with half the team of the most common OU teams in showdown with this "worst mega".
FalseMaster From Hell you also forget if you give garchomp a life orb that he is now faster than mega chomp and just as strong.
Hey wait a minute... If Garchomp is the Mach Pokemon, why is its speed only base 102?!
Finally someone who is speaking what about 25% of us are thinking while the other 75% rage and death threat each other
Who cares
Warzone LOL
yep that's why i repsect her opinoin
Not to mention if you want priority there is sucker punch and shadow sneak.
Don't forget that you can survive an Outrage from a Dragonite as long as you bring Will O Wisp and HP stats.
Precisely, there's a lot of good ways to run Mega Banette and I love him
Whats Pankstar
An ability that gives all non-damaging movies +1 speed priority.
JacobPF "He was referring to the fact that the r was missing on screen that says "Prankster".
I thought she was making a joke about her hair, since it's pink, but on Twitter she calls it "pank" as a joke. I don't know if it was that or a typo haha
Pankster is an ability that gives all non-pirated movies +1 pizza.
It gives every single move +9 bitch slapping and accuracy is boosted by 7.8% water. It also makes the user a Sound/Light type.
This whole video, I'm just sitting here like "Oh God, she's gonna say Banette at any moment"
Then when I saw Sableye for a second I was like "Oh Jesus"
Then when I thought I was home free, boom!
@@bellazonna6510 or a fairy
If anything else, Mega Abomasnow is great in Trick Room
But requires a pokemon that knows Trick Room (I think the list is about the lack of moves or pokemon needs something more to be useful + lost of ability and item and not Pokémon itself)
Honestly, if it weren't for its ability, Mega Abomasnow could be very useful. It's a great mixed attacker with STAB Ice Shard to overcome it's awful speed, but the hail just makes it so difficult to build a good team around
***** and that is exactly her point.
To make use of Abomasnow, you have to build a team around it, which wastes around 2 slots actually making Abomasnow good...
one of the best trick room sweepers
TylerDaDragon More than two really, since if you're going to use Trick Room for one Pokemon, you basically need to have an entire team of slow Pokemon
As someone who placed 14th at APEX with a Mega Absol and a Mega Aerodactyl, I simply can’t agree with this, lol.
10 extra points were thrown into speed in gen 5. 90 points were given for mega to make 100.
Well, to explain those 10 extra points, from GEN 5 to GEN 6, Alakazam got +10 it's base Sp. Def. Hope that solves some of the mystery.
in the looks B)
SSBBPOKEFAN But Mega Ampharos still got a BST boost of 100, plus the 10 extra points from the switch from Gen 5 to Gen 6. It's 100 from Gen 5 Alakazam to Gen 6 Mega Alakazam, but that would mean that Ampharos got a 110 BST boost from Gen 5 to Gen 6 with Mega Evolutions.
...then I got nothing...
Personally, I'm shocked she didn't throw Mega Lopunny on the list, purely out of her vast hatred of all things Lopunny.
Soulsnatcher89 Also, it has Scrappy Drain Punch.
the feminazi not doing that is a shock but tamashii is still the worst. for many reasons. I'm shocked she actually enabled commnts again of course she modifies the comments now to her liking.
Um.. mega lopunny I good, u can put thunderbolt and ice beam and shadow ball, and mega lopunny can sweep
Am I the only one hearing her say "Mega Obamasnow?"
nope
Wow 😂😂
Recently my love for mega houndoom has increased greatly. I use one on my showdown team and it is a beast. Here's what I do. Scolipede 1 or 2 speed boosts, Baton pass to houndoom. Mega evolve, substitute, nasty plot, then sweep the opponent with dark pulse and flame thrower. If I need to heal, wish umbreon. Also mega houndoom looks badass as well. However I do understand if people don't like it but that's just me.
Nate Schuster I like that you found a way to make it shine waaaaay better than dismissing it like even I did. Props.
you forgot mega audino the biggest pile of crap mega gamefreak has given us
At least it isn't Mega Heracross
Or Mega Glalie loll
Mega Sableye. MEGA SABLEYE. Ok. OK. WHAT.
Mega sableye is going to be suspected in either monotype or OU or possibly both at any time to see if it needs to go to ubers. (Which it obviously does, I mean god.)
So here's why mega sableye is good.
252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Sableye: 156-184 (51.3 - 60.5%) -- 90.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
**Adamant** Mega blaziken flare blitz barely 2hkos, and it only would 2hko because you can't will-o-wisp it.
252+ Atk Mega Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Sableye: 109-129 (35.8 - 42.4%) -- 88.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
Mega metagross gets completed dismantled, not even 2hkoing and getting wow'd immediately.
252 SpA Life Orb Greninja Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Sableye: 133-156 (43.7 - 51.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
One of the former most powerful attackers in OU has a difficult time 2hko, which it won't generally.
Now let's see what mega sableye does to combat and put the enemy team in jeopardy. Here's the standard set I see:
Sableye @ Sablenite
Impish Nature
252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp Def
-Calm Mind
-Dark Pulse
-Will-o-wisp
-Recover
So Mega Sableye sets up a calm mind, and basically wins.
I agree Mega Sableye is epic, but your calc gave it leftovers which is impossible
Tamasu Sushin It doesn't matter, the number of hits to KO doesn't change. It's just something that the calc does.
blazikens attack always 2hko's, greninja has a chance to 2hko, etc. the leftovers turns the 2hkos into 3, but reuardless its bulky as crap
Okay, what about if THIS happened?
Pokecole sent out MEGA SABLEYE!!
Sable set: Calm Mind, Dark Pulse, Will-O-Wisp, Recover
Unicorn sent out GENGAR!
Gengy Set: Curse, Mean Look, Hex, Shadow Ball
SABLEYE used CALM MIND!
Enchanted Unicorn The only Problem about that. Magic Bounce. You cant use moves like Toxic or Curse on it.
Now I have to ask the question, why does Mega Heracross have an air vent on its body?
Cause its too hot to handle
I don't f_cking know. All I need to care about is that attack. I literally named my Heracross 185 after its attack stat.
Because its 185 attack stat makes its insides burn with power so it needs a vent to let off all that heat energy
I was thinking the EXACT same thing.
TheBlackSerpentBeta That made my day.
Let's go down the list:
Mega Heracross - Have you played OU lately?
*****
He can have an opinion too. And honestly, his opinion is spot on.
I have other things to say, but I don't feel like complaining about this:/
Btw, I keep forgetting about trick room tamahashii
The problem with m-abomasnow it's that trick room is too gimmicky and it has a x4 weakness to fire, mega houndoom is too frail and only worksproperly in the sun, and absol has terrible speed in the first turn of mega evolution and terrible defenses, leaving it vulnerable to priority, but i agree on something, she didn't botber to investigate half of the list, sableye, heracross, steelix and glalie are quite useful.
Absol has sucker punch. You can switch it in on a weak pokemon
3 years and you haven't made the sequel. great job tamashii.
Megas that shouldn't be on this list: Heracross, Aerodactyl, Sableye
First of all, although CB Heracross has more initial attack you forgot two important things: Swords Dance and the abilty to change moves which makes it much harder to wall and far less prediction reliant.
Megas that should've been on this list: Audino, Garchomp, Latios
Mega Audino is mostly held back by it's mediocre ability and typing which leaves it outclasssed by similar pokemon, not too much else to say here.
It's opinionated get over it
I suggest that you check with someone with more experience in competitive pokemon before making another video like this.
ErraticMagics
IDC about competitive battling
KidSnivy69 then why are you watching a video that is established by competitive ranking
AceLeader101
for one thing, this ISN'T about competitive battle
I like how you said obamasnow instead of abamasnow x3
So... quick question.
That was my editor's choice, so I can't really explain that one.
TamashiiHiroka Ah... I see. Alright then. I wasn't aware of that.
Mega Mewtwo Y can be nixed by a half decently fast bug type like Scolipede.
Yeah my jolly nature scolipede protect > megahorn dead M-mewtwo Y
Seth Hawkins Plus protect scolipede with speed boost gets a big speed boost and levanny is nice and fast with some moves to take Mega Mewtwo Y down
mega banette is soooooo useful. a lot of people don't realize that this mega is all about PRIORITY and making life hell for your opponent.
To be fair, tamashii, there are very few megas that can outdamage their base form holding a choice band/specs.. but most of them are still better
also I am shocked that you didn't include Mega Garchomp, which is strictly worse than regular Garchomp because of its speed drop
Life Orb/ or Choice Band Megahorn and Close Combat would do the same thing if not better, KO opponent and become even stronger with Moxie.
About Mega Heracross, it actually benefits over choice band, because it allows use to all 4 moves for -10 speed. So its actually a lot better.
Mega Heracross: Have Scolipede speed boost a couple times + swords dance, baton pass to mega heracross, use pin missile/rock blast with skill link, win
Hitsugaya29 don't for poet about bullet seed and arm thrust
About Mega Absol, say that to Thunder Wave, then Swords Dance, then get K.O'd by Night Slash, or Play Rough, Tamashi.
Mega Sableye should be on the top ten BEST megas list lol
This video is going to be on my video: Top 10 worst Pokemon videos.
Might I ask what are the other contenders on the list? (I call anything from TyranitarTube, he's like a gnat)
jayjay86443
List isnt complete but most of them are Poketubers who don't know anything what they are saying or some people whos speech you cannot understand at all.
jayjay86443 I concur, I hesitate to watch anything he post because I don't want it in my history even though I can delete it, his voice is annoying, and he talks about the stupidest things like Pokemon that need a mega evolution and why. I just think his reasons are dumb...
How rude
Mary Thomas
World isn't fair so why not.
Mega Garchomp is so bad
And Audino
Your so bad that's you don't like it
cermet dink how?
Neo Shawn normal garchomp with life orb is better
Mega Obamasnow
"Yes, I can!"
Ah, yes, my favorite ability, Pankster.
Typos aside, there are definitely a lot of valid points involving the Megas.
WHY DID YOU SAY MEGA SABLEYE!?
mega flygon is just terrible.. oh wait
Nice Joke.
Mega Flygon is terrible because it doesn't exist YET.
I was so sad he didnt get a mega... GEN 7 JUST YOU WAIT.
***** ORAS is still 6th gen
***** 3rd gen
sorta.. its a bit confusing.
MEga diancie vs mega sableye sableye use will o wisp keep bouncing
Hisashi Ishiguro mega sablie has a 4x weakness to fairy
No. It's still 2x.
Compared to other megas "Brings in a Mega Mewtwo"
I keep 4 pokemon with mega evolutions in my party on Omega ruby at all times, Those 4 being Charzard, Swampert, Blaziken, and Metagross.
TheSSVNormandy bad idea
Futuristic triumph alpaca
not for me
TheSSVNormandy actually it is because if you mega evolve 1 of em then you have 3 Pokémon with wasted potential in their item slots 2 Megas should be as high as you go
or, I can do what I desire and do what works for me.
TheSSVNormandy ok fine if you want to suck that's your call
"Pankster"
Do you even read over what you write?
OOOOOOOOOH
Slam dunk😂😂😂
Mega lucario
Diiana Loveyu Mega Lucario is great
Have you not seen the ppls tears of mega lucario sweeps
Personally, I like Mega Houndoom. Yeah, its typing, its defenses, and its Solar Power ability makes it a bit fragile, but when paired with a Mienshao, the two can deal some serious damage.
I am highly offended
racwiruun cilmi gamaay me too
pop Ali Snowflake
You may've forgot one.. The weakest and most hated mega of them all.. Medicham
This list is horrible
Tamashii is horrible so that's why. :/
Then why are you here?
I think you are just saying that because your favorite mega is here or you just hate her
You’re horrible
Oyski God No one cares about the main games except noobs
A: "Meet the result of 76 generations of..." Absol faints "BWAAAAHH"
B: "Meet the results of 76 generations of..." My attack missed..."Oh...I actually got the sword dance off." *Proceeds to sweep my entire team"
Even though he would outright declare how much it sucked, it was one of his favorite pokemon to use.
The worst Mega is MegaNium. It's frail, has weak stats, and the Mono Grass typing doesn't allow it to take hits at all either.
Mega Banette may suck competitively, but it’s beautiful and I love it.
Best mega for stall team. The trio mega sableye, chansey and skarmory is scary
"This isnt a list about bad pokemon, it is just a list about the least good pokemon"
Remember the days when people playing pokemon are not assholes and just use their favorite pokemon and not care about stats?
Mega Banette running Phantom Force, HP Fighting, Toxic, and Will-O-Wisp is actually a force to be reckoned with. It doesn't really seem like it, but this set packs a punch.
: screeches so loud people become death : MEGA ABSOL IS AWESOME TAKE HER OFF THE LIST!!!!!!!
guys, spell pidgeotite in this way ,,pidgeo-tit-e" now i dare u to not think about this a day.
Design-wise all of the mega evos are utterly horrible honestly. Plus they break the game like you wouldn't believe. I hope gen 8 does the world a favor and simply fades them out forever.
Wow heracross gains a huge amount of speed and defense, but his speed went down when it wasn't able to outrun anything at all. She needs to use them
There are 2 types of pokemon players. The one who picks a team of pokemon that he/she thinks are cool looking and decent enough to beat the game and is happy playing the game as it is, and the other one who analyses their pokemon's stats to fight other people who analyse their pokemon's stats and gets frustrated most of the time.
I was really scared you would put gallade here since I heard Wally’s theme in the background
"...holding a choice band"
"...with a life orb"
Choice specs...
Choice band...
Choice scarf...
Life orb...
I... dislike 'em.
Nuff said
I remember the old times when PEOPLE JUST DONT GIVE SHIT HOW'S THE STATS ARE AND JUST PLAY WHAT THEY LIKE
With Beedrill as my favorite Pokemon, I was so scared that she would start saying something along the lines of "It's a polished turd". Around the 4th position, I was scared about Beedrill making the list.
I use mega sableye as an annoyer that boosts itself up to a tank:
EVs on the defensive stats, some hp and a little bit on the special attack.
Guys before you rage that absol, heracross, and Sableye, remember that tamashii isn't the best competitive battler.
She's forgetting something. Aurorus gets snow warning as a hidden ability.
Tamashii: And the number worst mega is...
Mega Rayquaza
Mega Sableye is life. I've had great success online with it. Calm mind as sableye first turn with prankster, mega evolve next turn while using calm mind again. The fun begins after that.
I don’t care how weak Mega Pidgeot is, I’m still glad my favorite Pokémon got a mega!
LOL at mega pidgeot being on this list. Hurricane is 30% confusion chance and it hits like a truck.
BRO how can you have Lord Heracross, King Aerodactly, and the overpowered Sableye on here but not the first ever 100% worthless mega, Audino? It makes bad megas look good.
The fact that she based it off strength, but Audino was nowhere to be seen
Mega Charizard X is now highly allergic to getting punched and the earth.
6:42 I was legit confused when she said there was a mega Aggron, I didn't even freaking know
I'd run Explosion on mega Diance if it was allowed in VGC
This video is actually pretty sad. All these cool pokemon have one ability that works against another one, making it useless.
