@@SephTheSin not just him, there is a theme with the losses. Lubu proved we couldn't overpower the gods in strangth, but gained Thors respect. Which has born fruit. Adam shattered the illussion of invicibility even though he lost to zuse he was standing over the God and shows humanity fights for more than entertainment or revenge. Sheeva found a kindred spirit in humanity, showing we are not all so different. Tesla inspires hope even in a hopeless God. How it'll all play out we don't know yet. But the strength of humanity has already left its mark and that is an undeniable fact.
I didn’t really like Tesla when he was introduced, but when he entered the arena I realized what the character was supposed to represent, he became my favorite fighter soon after
I love when this series does such an important and universe altering win/loss. Tesla's loss was on the same level as Adam's loss and Kojiro's win. Ramifications of what he's done even to Beelzebub, not just humanity, is such a huge part of the story to this day.
Tesla is the Dr Livesey of Record of Ragnarok. A Jolly absolute gigachad who everyone loves and respects. Out of all Human loses, his and adam’s were the most heartbreaking.
Love this video, and i love the fact that you called Beelzebub the god's greatest shield, because he represents destruction, death and chaos for so long, things that the gods were thought immuned from yet humanity suffered in. What he represented wasn't the resilience of the gods but the shield that made sure humanity had never surpassed them before
Its worth noticing that the scientists dont mourne Tesla's death, the return to the lab to resume work on advancing mankind. I really hope we get a callback to that in the climax... Maybe Jack using his Volund to help make armor like Tesla's? It would fulfill his assertion that Todays Wonders are tomorrow's commonplaces.
I knew that Tesla was going to lose the moment i realized that Tesla vs Beelzebub was a reverse of Jack vs Heracles. But, he didn't disappoint in being amazing and rekindling both mankind's hope (as opposed to even Jack not being happy that Jack won) and giving back some of Beelzebub's will to live. Enough so that he stood up to Odin with Buddha, no less.
Tye moment Tesla Teleported his hand. I really thought Beelzebub would lose it and made me concern to move the next page for a couple of minutes But thankfully, Beelzebub countered it.
Another amazing video I swear to God I cried during the Tesla fight it's just one of the most beautiful reflections of humanity that I absolutely adore from the series even with all of its inconsistent or inaccurate information about the gods and humans I still think it makes a beautiful story no matter what thank you for continuing to make these awesome videos
Thus far Tesla has been my favorite human fighter because he is just such a gigachad of a man who refuses to show any sign of negativity any sign of weakness and simply conveys that today's failures are tomorrow's successes and in that he represents the true meaning of a scientist and the indomitable will of humanity.
In a manga about the greatness of hummanity and our indomitable will even in the face of literal gods and an appocalypse he is the perfect vessel for finding success even in failure
@SephTheSin It's sad as it is poetic that's the 2 human fighters Adam and Tesla who lost are the ones who inspire the greatest of hope and will for humanity because to succeed one must endure and learn from failure.
It was good if we could’ve seen tesla win but beezele bub had a sadder story and it was making us ready for the after math with susano and okita’s fight But still it should’ve been tesla that should’ve won the match
Let's be real there's two true reasons Tesla lost in round 8, reason 1 he didn't have his iconic mustache and they needed him because of it lol Reason 2 Beezlebub was always intended to do more after round 8, especially since he has a direct link to Satan and now that it's been revealed Satan is one of the 4 main primodial gods it makes his significance more important bow more than ever
I never like Tesla to be honest his naming yo his attacks suck. But what is showcased to this video analysis is the very theme of Ragnarok for humans. That evolution is everlasting. The gods may be immortal. Therefore, they stagnate, but humans live short but progress greatly. This round also references round 3 that if a god has to put in more effort and progress in order to defeat the power of humanity.
You sir are WRONG! Science is not advancement (that would be engineering), it isn't a dream (that's religion), it is not a method of learning about or connection to the past (that's history). Simply put science is a method of learning about and understanding the universe. All this video did for me was make me depressed. It showed me how little people know about science as a concept and how little some people care about literally the greatest development in the total of human history. Let us be real and frank, science has killed not only the gods…. but the concept of the supernatural as well. Because through science we can fully understand all the mysterious phenomenon that we once attributed to gods and know for a fact that these works of human fiction have nothing to do with them. Also, while I love Tesla he was more of an engineer than a scientist, though he did take extensively into physics. He was ahead of his time, yes, but I wouldn't call him the greatest mind in history. That's because as sad as it is to say the average physics grad student today knows and understands more than Tesla. That is because science stands upon the shoulders of the giants who came before, building upon their works with greater understanding. I lost all interest in this manga after this, and honestly I started to even before this. Because in all honesty it feels like just another fighting manga at this point. They had the chance to make a great statement here, by having Tesla win and show humanity's growth. Our lack of need for the vary concept of gods, but no they didn't do any of that. It was just more fighting spirit bull. I'm $#@%ing done with this manga.
I mean it wouldn't be sad to say that the average physics grad knows more than him, because thanks to advances In technology and learning in general those resources and the ability to learn have become far more and easily available to everyone I'm not sure if I'm just missing why you're depressed about this or something along those lines, but from the bottom of my heart, I do not get this
@elivcdxv1852 Well first of all I thought that it was a wasted opportunity to show off greatest ability and power, our minds. Then I thought that it was a missed opportunity to show off the gods' greatest weakness, that they are just constructs of humanity's first (wrong) attempts to understand the world. Then they basically just totally misrepresented science as a whole and dumbed down Nicola Tesla into a not as good Tony Stark. I just think they could have delved into some cool esoteric powers rather than dropping into a typical first fight. Plus I think that the writer of this manga gives far too much respect to the gods.
I wanted him to win, but he won the ideplogical clash. Even when humanity loses in the series they still claim victory in other ways.
Exactly, hope even in defeat is what makes him such an inspiring character

A Tesla video!? We eating good tonight.
Hope you enjoy the meal
@@SephTheSin You've cooked a 5 star meal, amazing video.
I feel like they could have done a bit more with Tesla's background, and worked more on his relation with his brother and the "rivalry" with Edison

this is like the most energy you have givinen when talking about character analysis
What can I say Tesla inspired me
Man I absolutely love the way you explain stuff in your videos
Tesla is my favorite champion I’m glad that you made a video on him!

Ngl i was waiting for this one also keep up the good work
As a grown man, this had to make me hold my tear from dropping
Other scientists were looking goofy tho
The goat himself both in real life and in ROR
Can't wait for Apollo Analysis, a misunderstood god.
Who knew he 2qs really chill like that? Plus, I'd say he's earned the right to be a Lil arrogant
Put more then just yo heart and soul into this video 🔥💯
I love how no matter if Tesla actually won the battle or not, he definitely won over Humanity's hearts.
