Bro there’s no battery on my motherboard. Shall I try to do that two pin short? Or what can I do to reset bios? Because my Samsung m.2 ssd is not detecting on bios settings.
After 2 years of my using my new gaming PC. Mother board Asus Darkhero VIII . I got error message when booting: Please enter setup to recover BIOS settings. Press F1 to run Setup. I have replaced the CMOS battery with new one still get this problem. If I leave my computer unplugged for 4 weeks I loose the system date and time after changing the batttery is this normal? How can I fix this issue?
I have a ROG gaming motherboard. Z390. Where the CMOS will not clear. I have pulled the battery and have shorted CLRTC Password not cleared What would be your next suggestion?
So i’m not sure why this is but after resetting the CMOS battery if i try to access my UEFI again it locks my bios up again. Any advice? I just wanna boot from USB, can’t do that if my bios is locked
My PC was turning on and everything was allright until a power cut happened last night. Now it's turning on but stuck in the booting/motherboard splash screen, and I can't even enter the bios. In my whole life I've never faced a problem like this. I tried to change RAM slots, run it with/without GPU and nothing happened. Do you have any suggestions?
Motherboard makers really need to stop calling the UEFI variable store "CMOS". Way too many people still seem to think the battery has anything to do with retaining BIOS settings on modern systems.
@@GannibalGaming Ok, we will not be able to provide any support from our company but do let me know what issues you are having and I will see if I can recommend any troubleshooting steps for you to try and solve it.
@@GannibalGaming What steps have you tried? and was there anything changed before it stopped booting? I would recommend first to reseat your ram ( ruclips.net/video/CFqt6qe-iL8/видео.html ) and make sure they click in place.
Like the VID... good "how to...." really THANKS! I upgraded BIOS in Asus f 412da, with Asus bios upgrade, and NOW no usb will boot to any legacy usb stick! And since it is a dina-zore (lol!) 2015 board, which did boot to older legacy usbs, but I foolishly upgraded it to latest BIOS....and now I can't reinstall my Mint OS so to dual boot with Win10.. And I really LOVE "dual booting," my computers! Because I have to many favorite Linux programs, and a very few Win10 apps. I dnloaded the Older Bios but Asus, and upgraded and it doesn't allow this downgrading BIOS! Maybe I can use it as freebee, or trade for a laptop what has a BIOS in the 20 century? LOL!
