That shop you're opening up looks insane. Amazing concept with private rooms, a bar, outdoor area? I'm gonna need to fly out just to try that place out. Awesome Mike!
appreciate you!
Yes!
@@strictlydumpling definitely made my foodie tour list!!! 💯🤞🏾 Count me in!!!
@@strictlydumpling I live near Houston, I will definitely go!
Dang I wish you would open one in Philadelphia but one day I will get to Huston
Hello, Mikey. This is Peter, the owner of KOOKSOO. It was such a pleasure to get a opportunity to serve you with our Beef Kooksoo, Stir-fried beef with noodles, King Ribs Jjamppong, and Galbi. As our head server, Lyn said, I was very impressed to see you have completely "finished" all three dishes and your knowledge on bronze utensils we are using. And, if it is ok, I like to utilize the information on this video on our side so that more people would know who you are and what you are going to upload. So, please let me know if there's any limitations I should be aware of. In near future, I hope I can get one more chance to see you in person and talk about how Kooksoo got started and about Korean noodles 🍜. God bless you. 😃
Did he actually finish all the food he was served? Just wondering why the inverted comas🤔
@@marienugent9860 yes he did. :)
Kooksoo is my favorite restaurant in Plano!!! I adore that server, she is an absolute sweetheart and always throws in some extra kimchi when I come in
Spidermann no homey< yes burger
Huh so finished or not? Normally the "" supposed to be like the opposite if you put on certain word instead of sentences. For example, "rich" refer to poor. So when you do "finished" it as if you implying did not finished.
The pan out after eating the 3 bowls was absolutely hilarious. The sweat and obviousness of the effort was fantastic
16:28 honesty is one of your best channel charms.. you're the only food fighter channel that i truly believe review wise, you dont slander or say anything but you're always honest.. so your recommendation value is so high and trustworthy

YES KOOKSOO is such a hidden gem! Their noodles were to die for. I especially liked the spicy beef noodles is the best dish i had there. The portions are a bit big for me so my friends and i usually share! And even then we want more!
I'm already convinced that I need to drive 7 hours to try this place. I've never had Korean food before but I have not a shred of doubt that it will be fantastic. I plan on moving to Dallas within a couple years and I'll definitely make this place a regular spot!
Living in Houston and hearing this has to be the best news I’ve heard all year!!!
Thank you for blessing the Houston area with some great food to come, can’t wait to hear about the menu.
Same!!! So glad it’s in Houston! Can’t wait to try!!
What’s the name of the place and where is it at?
What’s it going to be called?!
@@mirandasands2595 the name of the restaurant in progress is supposed to be called Karne Korean Steakhouse. Can't find anything about it online other than an investment website.

I went to kooksoo because of this video and I couldn’t believe how good it was. The noodles were so fresh It made me feel like I’ve never had noodles before.
Oh god the noods look soooo good!
That brownie commentary had me 😆 This is horrible, it's so bad. It's so freaking good I have no self control i'm going to eat all of them.
We gonna meet double Chen lmaoo
has a full on Texas BBQ and says "i'm still hungry" afterwards LOL
" I am a little confused by that bite " The look on his face...lol
Actually that Bbq plate could have fed 3 people then orders giant bowls of Korean food then brownie and then a giant burger cheesesteak Sammie for dinner also tater tots and fries. Really incredible for like a 150 lb guy
the wonders of editing...
I'm kinda confused how a person I subscribe to for pokemon content is watching another person I Subscribe to for food content bahaha small world.
I’m the same way full order of ribs Mac and cheese and brisket then order ice cream from braums
I learned my lesson. Watch Mikey Chen's videos AFTER eating! Not late at night, ten hours after dinner.
I'm amazed how you can eat a BBQ breakfast and then go to another restaurant and order enough food to feed 4 people as your second meal. Impressive!
& still look THAT good! I gain like 5 ponds from a single cracker 😂
He just takes a couple of bites and takes the rest home but to be real the content is still really fun to watch.
He’s 90% hobbit so it doesn’t surprise me
When mikey said thats horrible about the brownies he got me worried for a sec lol
LOL ME TOO 😭 I thought he hated it omg 🤣 too funny
When he started making a face l thought , oh no he’s bought a dope brownie

That brownie buy seemed like Mike was getting edibles. I always wondered how he can eat so much.

I’m glad you passed on the Kura sushi; it’s always busy here in Irvine but it’s all novelty. Doesn’t even come close to the revolving sushi spots in Japan!
it's fine but crazy when you consider you're paying 4x as much per plate as in Japan
As a person who went to the Cupertino, California location, I also think its overrated and overpriced. It's not horrible, but the experience isn't worth the price.
I am in Irvine CA
@@Dudewitbow yup also went to the Cupertino one and it’s not worth it at all. I’d rather go to a sushi restaurant and order instead.
@@super292 Do u know there is a sushi restaurant in JAPAN serving 50 pieces for $12-15
Mike fellow Dallas Texan here. You've helped inspire me. I love to eat and it's always been a struggle with weight but seeing you pack away the food and stay fit told me it can be done. I've currently lost 90 lbs and have a way to go but good lord willing I will get there. Thanks for your videos.
Visible sweat on the chest is an example of a dedication to finishing your plate(s) & I'd expect nothing else from Mikey Chen.
I have been watching Mike for years now, but even after years of watching I'm still surprised and terrified about his stomach capacity . My man is a GOD!!
Same ive been watching him since 2015 and it still amazes me 😆
Mike Chen: eats his weight in meat and noodles
ALSO Mike Chen: "I'm going to need to work out after this brownie."

@@shaanbae6096 LOL, I always think the same thing!
Yeah…because brownie 🤣 😂 🤣
Not gonna lie I panic when Sir Mike said that the Brownies are “Horrible” but his still munching on it and I was like “What?”. What he really meant is it’s horrible for your health.
lol those brownies looked soooo good!
I'm so stoked about the KBBQ place! I had told my boyfriend when we were living in Austin that we'd have to make a special trip to visit when it opens, but we live here now! We'll bring his brother and his wife and make a night of it! 🥰 best of luck dude!
Are you me? This is exactly what I told my girlfriend. We lived in Austin while attending UT and was planning to make a day trip to Houston to try Mike's kbbq place when he announced it back in 2019 I think. Now we moved to Houston for work and live near the HEB near Mike's restaurant 😆 I'm hoping it could be one of our go to spots in the area (I usually just go to Local Foods but I need to expand my horizons) since I adore Mike and want to support him. I already told my girlfriend's parents that we'll take them here too since they never had kbbq before.
@@JacksonWalter735 AM I you?? I'm having an existential crisis now.
We also moved to Houston for work! Well, him for work, me for school.
Maybe see you there! 😄
I’m from Austin but I live close to lake Jackson, I am so stoked
YOOOO, that noodle place you tried is like 10 minutes from me! We love the servers there, so kind and informative! Glad you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Been meaning to say this as I've followed your vlogs for a while. You really eat noodles so well- your mom must be proud. Actually you eat any food neatly. Wish I can teach my kids proper noodle / eating etiquette and use your videos as a guide.
Wow that space looks huge! Can’t wait to visit there and the Ramen place in NY!
Been watching you for a long time and so happy to seeing your dreams come true with the restaurants opening up soon. Keep up the hard work it has paid off! Please keep the channel going even after the restaurants open up please!!!
Congratulations on your new venture Mikey!!! Lots of success to you! Watching you from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹

I really love that he's responsible and finished all those noodles..
It never ceases to amaze me how much food he eats. He must have a spare stomach.
What he eats for a meal, I eat for two days 🤷♀️
Agreed. I couldn’t even eat what he had for breakfast in 2 days. I’d try, but I can’t eat much. Those noodles looked so good but again 2-3 days of food for me (just one of the dishes) but I’d take it home and eat it eventually 😃
@@dbell582 pro is that you can have an awesome meal, twice 😂
14:00 So they took that tough beef rib back and re-tested it? That's some real dedication there.
Please keep in mind during your restaurant endeavors that the to-go boxes make a huge difference in soggy or not soggy. That foam box can make fresh hot crispy fries into the soggiest grossest fries ever by making the environment inside the container a super sauna. Try there again but sit in instead of taking out. Packaging always makes a difference with food. Stay away from styrofoam boxes.
Yeah sure he also often comments on the wait time between takeout and filming, but this one looked like there was not a lot of time between, the fries. should have been fine
@@HappyFluegel I use to work in the food industry. It doesn't take long for anything to turn soggy in those types of containers. Easy trick to freshest fries 🍟 dine in ask for fries without seasonings. They will always come to you fresh because they have to make them. Usually fries are made in batches so it's a great way to get the best quality.
This is fckin incredible, I am so excited for you 😭💛✨ Congratulations 🎊

Despite that the brisket didn't sound to good, I'd love to be eating that right now man xD Going to try to make one for the first time this weekend. Mikey thank you so much for your channel and your videos man. Honestly, You really helped me through a rough time last year and so much so that you inspired me to start the channel Latin Chopsticks. You helped me start to follow my dream and show everyone the best places to eat in Orlando FL. Thank you for all you do and hope I keep growing so one day I can sit down and have a meal with you. 😄 Take care man and good luck with both new restaurants. It'll def be in my to go list.

Hey mike noticed ya traveling in the rain there. Thunderstorms are common in Texas. Get some rain-x windshield wiper fluid for you and your loved ones car. I live in Upstate SC in the Blue Ridge. I'm opening my first BBQ shack next spring. Wagyu brisket is one of the hardest to cook. If you smoke it hard it tends to under cook and if you go long and low you get meat candy without much smoke. It is yummy no matter what! I'm doing a 19# one, A5 from Japan $$$$$, for the family vacation at the beach this weekend and it will be my second one. 1st one was done when cold so got too much smoke. also was American Wagyu and there is a difference.
