      Anteater98 he always makes them minimum 10 mins long and even when there's nothing left in the video to say he would just wait till 10:01 😂 just search some of his videos where he has just put an ending 2 mins long to reach the 10 min mark... Now it's his mark to do that...😁

      Dr. zombie that's what he is saying..but apparently Scott doesn't wanna earn by saying crap content just to increase video length.. that's why respect!!🙏

    Agree 200%. You have described how I have been training the last 6 years and I have seen more results than the previous 28 years training in typical Bodybuilding “bro” style. This combined with a strict nutritious meal plan has been very successful for me. It also drastically reduces the chance of injury (barring making stupid ego lifts occasionally) as you don’t need as much weight to stimulate growth and results.

    • @ScottHermanFitness
      @ScottHermanFitness  7 лет назад

      Right on John! It's important for people to know that in order to gain muscle, the amount of weight you lift is important, but not THE most important factor. Got to have that diet dialled in too!

    Heya Scott. Remember a while back you talked about slow twitch and fast twitch muscle fibers and the training method required for them individually? Well, I’ve learned about myself that my gains, physique and strength all go up when I do *MORE* working sets, meaning I’m more towards the slower end. Anyway, keep up the good work and merry christmas.

    This is hilarious...I was thinking about emailing you and asking you about the situation I'm about to describe, but the video you uploaded today answers it. Here it is...
    I was working out on Tuesday and was doing dumbbell shoulder press, 4 sets with a rep range of 15/10/10/10. Barely got 15 on set 1, barely got 10 on set 2 (matter of fact I went rouge and used C&R on the last rep...lol). I knew going into set 3 that there was NO WAY I was going to be able to get 10 at the same weight, started the set with the weight and got to 8, shoulders on absolute FIRE, put the weight down for 15 seconds, picked them back up and knocked out the last 2, shoulders still on FIRE!!! Last set I had to drop the weight be 5 lbs, go to 6 or 7 then used C&R on the last few.

    what you talked about is the first thing my private instructor told me about and i immediately saw a improvement on what i had been doing before i really is great to see a video fully explaining it for people that do not have a instructor or friends that know it already.
    what my instructors gets me to do to work all 3 that works really well i feel is i do say a set of 8 curls at 15kg which is my max. then as soon as i have done with set 1 i do 12 sit ups then have a 30 second break while i have a drink and stretch the muscles. this is then repeated 2 more times for a set of 3 then i move on and do the same with chest or what ever muscle with a in between exercise to compliment it.

Also the 2 stretch/flex muscle building tips I didn't know but they are obviously correct as well because I happen to watch a training videos of Jeremy B who recently won 4th Mr O Men's Physique and in said video his trainer made him flex his delts after a punishing set. It's obviously working for him. Solid advice man. Stay excellent my friend...... EP

    Great video Scott! My question is on your first topic about keeping the weight as heavy as you can go within a rep range, what do you do if you can't get a hold of the lighter weight after say a first set that would allow you to keep withing a your target range? For example say curl 20kg for set 1 at 8-10 reps and then you need to go to 18kg for set 2 due to muscle fatigue, but all the plates are taken.
