  • After spending over 12 months completely rebuilding the LS1 5.7L engine and GM 4L60E transmission, along with all brakes, suspension and exhaust, my ex New South Wales Highway Patrol SS Commodore hit the streets.
Thanks to everyone who followed me on this journey. I learned so much along the way, successfully rebuilt big ticket items that I have never looked at before, and had a heap of fun along the way.
All of the build secrets will be revealed in this video, including specs, prices and something really special right at the very end, where I give you all a sneak peek of my next exciting Grouse Garage build! Subscribe and stay tuned for that one! It's going to be incredible!

The trans might've cost about the same as a professionally rebuilt one, but you have upgraded components in it, and one built to that spec would've cost you probably a couple of grand more than what you spent on it, so for what you got, it was a good price. Nice job! Looking forward to when you can do the paint and panel work (after the Corvette). 👍🏻

Great vid. Where do you get all the eBay codes?

Sign in to eBay on the web (not the mobile app) and go to My eBay. When available, they are listed at the top of that page. I get them constantly. Best saving I have had was $200 off when spending over $1000. I often get codes for 10% off or $20 off here and there. All adds up!
