Stiggers is an interesting case because he learned to play in the pros instead of in college. His transition to the NFL will probably be a breeze.
He's a very fluid dback. I could see him playing some snaps at safety this year.

As a Jets fan, I agree with your analysis. However, you didn't mention coaching. Hackett is a liability who is only in NY because of Aaron Rodgers. He's a net negative, and most Jet fans (including myself) are not sold on Saleh. I think Joe D redeemed himself somewhat this offseason, but if they Jets fail to make the playoffs yet again, Saleh must go.
I’ll be honest I think the Jets Super Bowl window already snapped shut after last here. Matt LaFleur and the rest of the Packers squeezed much of what was left of Rodgers ability out of him and then sent him off to the Jets. Mind you his last year is Green Bay saw his stats fall dramatically, still good but significantly lower than the preceding 4 years. He threw the second highest amount of picks in his career, still good when comparing them with other quarterbacks but bad when comparing them with his former self. The Jets need him to turn back the clock 2 years now and hope he can stay healthy. That’s a tall order for a 40 year old quarterback, if he does go down for significant time this season then the Jets have to move on and find someone else now before it all falls apart again

I dont see them getting through the chiefs. The Bills, Ravens, Browns, Dolphins and Texans all seem like better contenders even with healthy Rodgers.
I don't think it can be understated, the jets took Jordan Travis pretty late in the draft. say what you want about the draft and stash but this was one of the only qb's stashed that actually made sense. it sounds silly but the jets are on the up

Jets can make the playoffs but Rodgers couldn't even get it done with better Green Bay teams over the past decade.
None of those packer teams had an elite defense. This jets team probably does.
