- Venom steals a gene cleanser from the lab that would take Spider-Man's powers away. When the time comes, he tries to pour it down Spider-Man's throat but ends up getting it himself and turns back into Eddie.

The Spectacular Spider-Man is an American superhero animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, created and developed by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook. In terms of overall tone and style, the series is based principally on the Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and John Romita Sr. era of The Amazing Spider-Man comic books, with a similar balance of action, drama, and comedy as well as a high school setting. This is still the best version of Venom for me. Had the best origin story and really wish we saw more of him if this series continued.

Not happening. But we are getting a new Peter/Miles team up coming titled Spectacular Spider-Man AND Greg Weisman's writing it. Earth-616 universe though, so the name is just a throwback.

Venom’s plan was turned on itself
If you think about it, between defeats Eddie and the symbiote traded fates; one escapes while the other is put in a safe place
Even as a kid I always thought that Venom will return in season 3 and give birth to Carnage who bonds with Kasady who had little cameo in season 2 and would threaten Dr. Ashley Kafka, with whom Eddie falls in love just like in Spider-man TV show from 1994.
I’m certain that was probably the plan. We see Eddie being escorted to Ravencroft at the end of the episode, so I’d imagine there was a storyline planned for Venoms return and the introduction of Carnage.
@wyattlundrigan4740 Cletus was even mentioned by name in that episode that showed Electro and Doc Ock in Ravencroft. They def had plans for Carnage.
You gotta wonder, if they did more seasons, do we think Eddie would have received a redemption arc? Or would he always be a villain fighting Peter?

Carnage was planned to appear in season 3 were they would have Venom and Spidey team up to fight him
I for one believe Eddie would've gotten a redemption arc that eventually saw him become the Lethal Protector, especially considering that Cletus Kasady/Carnage was supposed to appear in what would've been Season 3.

In all liklihood had the series continued the symbiote would have returned for Eddie. He's the symbiote's favorite host, after all.

He does have something to do he hates Peter for being a terrible friend and back stabbing him and he hates spider man for ruining his job

The gene cleanser purged the Symbiote from Eddie’s body, like a foreign object . It had to leave
Oh it was using him to somehow get back to Spider-Man, if can’t destroy Spider-Man, and using their combined resentment to keep Eddie motivated and dependent on it
But it wasn’t its choice to leave him at the moment as that at that point could still win against Spider-Man
@@christophersanchez7731 I understand Eddie has reasons to hate him, but for Peter thinked its pointless hate when Eddie lost all, The combination Eddie & symbiote Venom may look strong but Peter is more smarter than both

I don’t really like that Spider Man hide his secret identity to two women very beautiful: Gwen and MJ. Because if they do know who Peter really is, they could be very happy and closer to him.
If they ever made a season 3. I can see MJ being the first person he tells.
Considering how cool of a character she is compared to the one in the Tobey Maguire movies.
Also I don't really mind Peter not telling Gwen. Especially after the pathetic move she did at the end of season 2.
I would absolutely love it if Peter and MJ started a romantic relationship. Leaving Gwen humiliated.
