Gilles famously won in Canada also with this car by the way. I made this kit but it was destroyed by a cat :( I have built the 250GTO on your channel too, an awesome kit. I have built the Honda RA272 also destroyed by a cat. I currently build the Tyrrell P34 on your channel. Thanks for videos, it gives me more ideas for painting.
That Ferrari 250 GTO kit is a real expert level so I warn everyone there. It took me ages but I am very happy with the insane final result. I would share pics if I could.
You did a superb job on this model sir but you should deffo have built the Gilles no12 car ;)

About cars colours, back in 1925 there were only 4 constructors from 4 countries, so each country chose the colour to represent ...England racing green, France blue, Germany silver and Italy red.

Hi, could you tell me what kind of paint to put on the decals before applying them? Acrylic? And after you have applied them on the body, do you need to give a full coat of clear again? Thank you.

Luca, In general, decals are compatible with any type of underlying paint. It's always a good idea to clear coat them after application if they are going to be handled at all. -PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug

I wonder why they made models 1/20. Such an odd size. I bugged Mobius to make the 69-74 Ford van in 1/25 since they only come in 1/20, but had no response. They have the tooling and rights already.

F1 models in 1/24 scale seem to small.....at 1/20 scale they seem just right.....there is also a few 1/12 scale but if you don't do alot of detailing they just don't look right......my opinion.

Thanks Vanessa, I think I would agree with Lukas that Tamiya decided 1:20 scale was better at showing detail on the F1 cars. They were even shorter and smaller than today's F1's back in the day when Tamiya started modeling them.
