Just imagine Tamiya making American car classics ? Not curbside but full kits. That would make a lot of car models happy for sure lol
they do make some amazing models
HH,, They don't do that very often and when they do you can expect to pay a pretty hefty price. Anyway, this kit was most recently re-released in 2014 but they are still easy to find. It's not like the good old days when you could get a full newly tooled model from Revell ( Ford GT, '50 Olds, Foose F100, etc.) for $27.50. Going price for full Tamiya kits are $50 plus. Enjoy! -Doug
Exactly Howard.........
Love this build. Been looking at these old Grand Prix cars. Thanks!
RB, Thanks for watching! -Doug
I Just Recieved 1 of These Kits a Few Weeks ago. Thanks For Sharing Your Fun n God Bless All.

Nice review and build................... 👍👍👍👍 I have that kit and often thought about building it.

I have built some of the Schumaker cars and they are nice when finished. Just take your time, don't rush and it will look good when finished.
WH, Thanks and you should be able to find one - they are plentiful! -Doug
Finally someone did a good review on this kit. I have been watching it for a good while but I have been hesitant on it because it is a Tamiya. I have had Tamiya kits before like an f1 car and it wasn't so good.
Wiz, Thanks for the kudos. I have to admit that the newer Tamiya kits are much better! -Doug
I can honestly say you are the first person I have ever heard say Tamiya kits weren't very good haha
@@thefalloutshelter7799 well it was a really fidelity kit I got rid of it a while ago and idk if it was the kit or me but it wasn't a good bulid
Excellent build.... love the classic open wheel/Indy Roadster/F1 rides !
This came out perfect ✌😎
I wonder if they make one with a pitstop or garage diorama ?
( If not I'm sure you could build one easy enough, especially with 3D printing that's now available ! )
Keep the cool rides coming & thank you ! ☺
BB, Both Tamiya and Fujimi sell pit crew sets that could be added. -Doug
Did you spray your body? I've order Tamiya ts off white..
Pete, All the colors are called out in the instructions at the end and the body color is described just shy of the 12 minute mark! Thanks. -Doug
This kid is worth it even if you only buy it for the tires wheels and motor

I have this model and I am just getting back into modelling after 50 years away. Never had a Tamiya kit before. I am a little confused as in the instructions for painting the radiator you have the following:X-9:1+X-12:5. Can anyone explain this to me so I don't mess it up please?
Sorry but I feel like a noob again. Thanks for any help with this.
RB, This reads 1 part Tamiya X-9 Brown Gloss to 5 parts Tamiya X-12 Gold Leaf Gloss if it's copied correctly! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
@@RightOnReplicas Thank you so much for the clarification on that. That is how it was written on the instructions so now I know I can start mixing . Thank you again.
RB, You're welcome! -Doug
F1 is an open wheel category, and the use of aerodynamic appendages had not been thought of in the 60's
MB, Thanks for the info! -Doug
Didn't entex make a version of this
DM, Not that I'm aware of. Hasegawa issued a 1/24 version (Honda F1 RA272E '65 U.S. GP
