Always amazed at the care you take with every step. What looks so eclectic and haphazard in fact takes infinite attention to detail and the end effect is so lovely and organic. Each element you make and incorporate into journals is a mini work of creativity and art in its own right. You make us all believe we can be artists! Keep on keeping on.
Thank you so very much for doing these set of videos! I am new to this beautiful world. You are an amazing teacher with practical advice! I appreciate your generosity! I understand the time it takes for you to upload these videos.
Andrea, I've been doing altered book and paper journals now for about 5 years or so. Watching all different instructors and different techniques. However, I'm thrilled to watch you do a back to basics series, as everyone has their own personal way of creating! I've always admired your light touch as I tend to be too heavy handed. So, I'm very excited to watch this entire series and see how one of the "Top Queens" actually creates. Thank you for this terrific series!
I have been very unwell since November. Last week I decided to make folders for who I follow. There are so many wonderful ideas from you and others so I’ll be ready to to go. Thank you Andrea. You are so loved by me and hundreds of wonderful JJ. Thank you for sharing 🤗 hugs
Thank you so much for the video. I'm a newbie, so I appreciate your teachings. I love your detail, like sanding at the end. I like to take care of details too. It really takes a project from good to great! When I saw the envelope at beginning, I had no idea how to do that. This is FANTASTIC!!! I agree with comment below, I'm going to do this on all my envelope. I love it!! Can't wait to try. Thank you Austin, Texas USA

I LOVE how you do this process!!! I just tried it yesterday, and it looks so much better than the way I've seen in other videos. So these are my favorite envelopes I've made. Thank you for the video. Austin,TX USA
I've just done my first decoupage on a tea-stained old envelope following your instructions carefully. It's lovely! I'm very pleased! My first true art project. Thank you so much ArtyMaze! Love your videos!! YAY!
Only just watched this process and decided to have a go. I was very pleased with how my envelope turned out. Most amazingly the process of using my nail file to iron out ( so to speak ) the little bumps in the napkins on the envelopes. It was great. Must remember that little process .
It's so beautiful!!! Love all the steps, easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing. On to the next basic video. Actually there is nothing basic about your talents. 💖💖
Thank you for teaching all your secrets. I am learning so many techniques Completing envelopes. I am going to work on mine and see what I come up with. Thanks Andrea

This is a work of Art,Arty Maze. It,s beautiful.Something I would like to keep to look at.Thank you for the wonderful video.I can't see myself creating something so beautiful but who Knows? With your step by step instructions I may give it a try.
I absolutely loved that you took an emery board to finish off your envelope. As an evolving paper crafter it is one of my must have tools. I say evolving because as a scrapbooker turned card maker, I have been watching and learning about junk journaling for the past COVID months. I love that I can put to use all the supplies I have acquired for my paper crafts and actually use them up. (Although my book hoard is starting to concern me. Lol) I loved your "process" and the envelope was absolutely fabulous. Your video was very informative and helpful. Thank you for taking the time to do these.
Thank you, thank you for going back to basics!! I'm a newbie. I'm good with embellishing but it's the construction of the whole thing that intimidates me. Tfs.
Not only is the final product from your process is always amazing but when I watch you it is like being at a friends house and creating ❤️ thank you for all you share!!!
So pretty! God, I remember being new and it took me a year of watching junk journal videos before I understood how to put in a “tip in!” This is my kind of art work. No need to download stuff. We are able, without going through our printer ink, to make wonderful stuff with inexpensive supplies. It’s just the best! After doing it so much, and watching so many others do it for years, we forget that there are people who have never seen this stuff before! They find it, are amazed and want to do it too, but many times, we are talking at the experienced level and leaving them in the dark. Thankfully, there are so many videos in the archives to turn to now. But it never hurts to have the basics done again. Everyone is a bit different and it’s always still fascinating and inspiring. ❣️
So kind of you to give us newbies the benefit of your knowledge , very easy going and a pleasure to watch , your envelope is stunning , can’t wait to watch more xx
Thanks Andrea....I think I want to send actual mail in an envelope that I have antiqued and decorated!! This is wonderful!!... Of course I'll skip the cancellation stamp!
I am so delighted to find you. I've watched YT videos for awhile but am just getting up the courage to do my own. I like the way you are explaining the what / why of what you are doing and appreciate that you are starting a back to basics series.
It’s amazing how we all have little things we do differently so we can all learn from each other. My new favorite thing to do when using napkins is to take the whites off the backs before I start anything. Then I have them to absorb the extra sprays and I put them under when I’m stamping so the napkins catch the bit I didn’t get on the project. By the time I’m done with the original project I now have a totally unique napkin I can easily make a “matching “ journal card of something to go with the thing I was planning on making.
I’m back to report that I followed the tutorial and produced two absolutely BEAUTIFUL envelopes! I was a bit heavy handed with the gesso and the color but I kept going and am so pleased with the end results! Thank you, Andrea!! 😃
Fabulous no nonsense basic process. I enjoyed all of the video and it has taught me a lot and given me the confidence to have a go. I’m sitting in the garden (on a very hot UK summer day..August 2019), preparing my envelopes and tomorrow I will spray them with some of the sprays I have had for years. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you Have Never Made Any Of The envelops Before Yours Are Just Right Andrea and I Will Put it On My To Do list but it is quite Long I imagine like your own TYFS Lynn 🦋
I can not thank you enough for going back to the basics of journaling. I'm new to journaling and I'm clueless. All videos I watch everybody is doing all these fancy projects with all these products that I can't afford. It's so intimating!😩
Andrea, I could watch you all day long! Love your process and the finished envelope. The layers agree fantastic. Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge with all of us.
Hi I have watched this video 3 times today making my first envelope I am happy with the way it turned out. You have been on my mind all day as I have been working with your autumn digital kit. Awesome process. So glad to hear that you don't throw away the backing on your napkins either! I use them as a dimensional background on the cards I make. Love the envelope!!! I'll be trying your techniques for adding color especially. Thank you so much for the video!!

Also, for the tip to using the white background! Wonderful techniques! Can't wait to see the rest! I feel like I've been to art class! TFS - Hugs, Christal
Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing this series! I have just discovered the art of junk journals a few months ago and this is great!
