- In this video, I respond to Orthodox Kyle's response to my video that briefly summarized the Orthodox Church's beliefs.
From dissecting Bible verses like Ephesians 2:8-9 to the varying interpretations of early Church Fathers, we'll see why salvation is through faith alone, and how the Bible remains the ultimate authority. A must-watch for anyone interested in the core differences between Orthodox and Biblical beliefs!

A debate would be cool to see
Thanks for being charitable and a blessing to the body of Christ. We are saved by grace through faith. Our works is nothing. Our righteousness is like filthy rags. ❤✝️🙏
It also makes sense when it says "So that no one may boast." You aren't able to go around saying "look what I did to help these people!" Basically boasting about your works. It makes total sense. Well done, Ryan.
Yup exactly..

"To check it with the Bible yo" 🎶
🗣️❤️🔥💯
i'm definitely gonna start using this phrase!
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Romans 4-4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
What a great verse I’m going to use this
Wow Ryan thank you for responding to Kyle, i was actually planning on going in a viewer chat and breaking down the video for you so you could explain it. Good job 🙏
Honest question: What about Jesus saying the gate is narrow and few will enter? Few will put their whole trust in Christ or few will pick up their cross and follow Him? Or I'm just confusing this all big time. Because God doesn't contradict Himself. + Better to trust in the Bible than in the fallible interpretations of men. OUR interpretations can also be fallible. Help
It's narrow to trust in Christ alone and nothing else to save. And it's so hard for people to come to that point, because people want to keep also relying on what they have done.
But when a person comes to truly understand the gospel, they will see that Jesus' yoke is "easy and light" (Matthew 11:30) and says "I will give you rest" (v28), because Jesus did all the work for us to go to heaven. So we serve Him now simply out of thankfulness.
As a Christian, Recently I had the revelation after reading the Bible, that it is quite literally God's word. I was always confused about how that worked. Wouldn't only the times God speaks be when he verbally does in the Biblical Narrative? So how is David's Psalms or Paul's Epistles God's word if they wrote it? I assumed thinking every word is "LITERALLY GOD SPEAKING" was Christian fundamentalism. Secular thinking makes it hard to digest this stuff as a newer-seeking Christian.
2 Peter 1:21
For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit
So there you have it! The Holy Spirit which is God, was the author! My faith is strengthened so much now! I don't feel partial anymore. The whole Bible is God's Word. A big stumbling block for me is now gone!
Thank you for speaking truth. You have a gift to share the gospel in such a calm yet confident manner. It's a joy watching you pull up scriptures so quickly when speaking with unbelievers or those who are deceived with false doctrine. What is your educational background in theology?
Amen. Great job Ryan! Love listening to my brothers and sisters that can rightly divide the word.
could you shift perry the platypus the left a bit? his arm is getting tired.
Can you explain James 2:24 the verse after Abraham was counted righteous by faith. This verse seems to contradict our view.
It actually lines up well. Because James 2:23 says that believing is how Abraham was counted as righteous before God (not works). Then in James 2:24 it says that he was justified before people by the works he did. Because that is the context, "I will show you my faith by my works" (James 2:18). It's just about how to be justified in the sight of people, not God.
So we get made right before God by faith (not works), but that faith will then produce works as time goes on and that evidences to other people that we have faith.
“It was a two minute video”. That was my thought exactly when I heard it.
amen!!
Greatly explained, Ryan. Good job!
Amen Jesus Christ by Grace we are saved
I'm glad you made this video. Lately I've been seeing a lot of people trying to argue against your videos and I'm glad your making these videos back. Keep on spreading your truth brother.
peter was named petros, which means small rock... Not the cornerstone rock... Jesus is the Rock (Petra) in that verse upon this rock... JESUS will build his church (Ecclesia)
Ive been wrestling w yhe faith vs. faith and works debate for the last couple days. I'm still wrestling w it. God bless and thanks gor all you do.
Amen!
An act of faith is a work in itself.
Faith isn't a work actually according to the Bible. See Romans 4:5 "And to the one who does NOT work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness."
^ Showing believing is not works.
Thank you so much for this video, i consider myself still relatively new to the faith and have been looking into Orthodoxy, some of its claims seemed appealing.
But i could not get past their worship of Mary and Icon veneration.
Why would we need the intercession of Saints if we have Jesus?
It didnt add up to me, despite the rest if their teachings looking appealing.
So thank you for this video it helped clear up a lot of my confusion and reminded me that the Bible is the standard by whicb we verify everything.
If it does not align with the Word, it is false doctrine.
Fantastic video. Keep up the good work
God bless you bro
Great video. I’m praying for you brother
I appreciate it
Didn’t he say that Church tradition gives the Bible legitimacy? I thought God gave the Bible legitimacy….
so good.
It is so simple.
Shalom Officer
Very charitable response. Nicely done.
Great job brother.
Amen brother. I appreciate you sticking to the truth 💪🏻💪🏻
You’d think John, in his gospel, in one of his letters or the book of Revelation, would say, “by the way guys, my new mother that the Lord gave me on the cross was assumed into Heaven just like Jesus himself was”
So what happens if you do bad, are you still saved?
Thank you for this
W Ryan
I needed to watch this video. I’ve felt condemned for not being in orthodoxy
Check it with the Bible yo ! Hahahah nice
You should do videos on the falsehoods of catholicism. A lot of Christians think its just a more regal form of Christianity when its heretical blasphemous nature is akin to mormonism. People hear that "Jesus started the Catholic Church" and then from that assume the church must be valid and authoritative over the Bible. More people need to know.
Facts. It’s so much idolatry and unbiblical practices in their church. But the most disappointing thing is their belief in work based salvation.
Respond to Voice of Reason video.
Don't worry, it's coming :)
we need a Cliffe, Stuart, and Ryan collaboration
God bless
This kid is amazing! Glad bless!
Amen, saint
Great explanation. I've seen a lot of disturbing "traditions" in the OC like kissing icons, praying to saints/Mary as intermediaries, keeping dead body parts as relics, etc. It is disturbing to see. The early church did none of these things.
Excellent breakdown 👍
NeedGodnet.
I just want to say you handled this so peacefully and calmly.
I wish christians could focus on bigger issues and not attacking one another.
Kyle should focus on factors outside christ and bring more into the fold
