- This is a walkthrough and/or look at the recently opened Gathering Place Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is a very scenic, rustic, and modern 66.5 acre riverfront park. I do not have kids and did not cover as much of the kids are as the parents in the following vids. Check em out if you have small children.

What a Tulsa masterpiece! They had done a great job in creating The Gathering Place Park. It's so beautiful and majestic. It's something the city needs.
man, you picked the perfect time to go it looks like, it was packed with rugrats when i was there checking it out. it looks like a lot of fun for the kids. nice video tour.
I wish the park was there when I lived there.
Come back!
I'm moving there in the summer can't wait new beginning for me

Me too. I am in California right now but I am considering going back to my roots in Oklahoma. I miss it way too often.
This park was really nice! We thoroughly enjoyed it! You can check out our video of it here: ruclips.net/video/BUun-ng1Dfk/видео.html

Yes it is.
Cool! Where do they keep the Dinosaurs?
Funn place, was there last weekend
Whoa, you need to slow that camera down a bit when scanning - it's dizzying and it's not obvious to the naked eye, but on video - it's awful. Looks like a very pretty place.
👍Very true...story of the channel. I get to swinging and staying then it's like 😦... especially on a cell phone.
@@thekhakiobserver3128 A guy who used to video weddings in the 90's taught me that.
It looks really nice, but looked like almost nobody there
It could be the time or the weather it's Oklahoma lots of thunderstorms and metal there🙂 it gets really busy and lots of improvements since then
I'm going in cosplay today
You shoot nice video. Only thing that's weird is your finger pointing--really not necessary and generally considered kind of impolite.
Thanks for the advice! I am working on getting better in several areas and I appreciate it.
I'm really disappointed with the Gathering Place. I've seen local parks practically demolished. The city destroyed the building and filled in the swimming pool at the park near me. How will neighborhood children and others without transportation get to this monstrosity? It's a great way to ensure that certain demographics don't sully the Gathering Place.
good
Omg just think of the good things! Why do you have to be such a Debbie downer?
Are you saying the public bus doesn’t drop off at the park?
There has to be space for such a park and economics are a factor. The parks sits on riverside, an already desirable rec area, and Riverside drive leads into downtown. Criminal activity, homeless activity, etc. are always going to be factors and older parks do turn into hazards at a point. The town I grew up in did not have extravagant parks. Our imaginations and the company of good friends left us wanted for nothing. We drank out of water hoses, saw who could flick their shoes the furthest from swings, climbed trees and had great times.
Perfect example of big government missappropiation of everyone elses money. Not a public restroom in sight and awful public parking. Absolute BS. TAX DOLLARD WELL SPENT TULSA.
It's a private park, paid for and donated to Tulsa citizens and visitors so cool your Jets idiot.
@Philip S I go once a year to visit relatives for a month. I didn't see a dirty grimy city, but I did run into many idiots.
Incorrect and the park is an asset used by many in the metro area
This amazing park was funded by private donations. George Kaiser Family Foundation funded $350 million of the $450 million total with the rest coming from private funds. No Tulsa tax dollars. Largest gift ever given for a public park in the history of USA. Why it’s free admission also.
