Hiked the tallest mountain in the North East ascending the Ammonoosuc Ravine and descending the Jewell Trail completing the loop. This was the most amazing hike with terrific views all around. The Ammonoosuc River kept the temperature nice and cool and the breeze above the tree line was terrific. The summit was overcrowded and the parking lot took away from what was an otherwise amazing view of all the White Mountains. Overall this was a terrific experience and an amazing hike. I hope you enjoy.

We parked at the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trailhead just before the cog railway parking area. Works great if you end up doing the loop and taking Jewell down which opens up right across the street from the parking lot!

Great video. Doing this hike in a couple of weeks. How long did it take you up and back? Anything you would do differently? What are you glad that you did?

Hey Andrew. It probably took us about 10 hours or about a mile per hour to finish this hike with plenty of breaks for snacks and lunch and what not. We did hit Mount Monroe which I would recommend checking out if you're still feeling good and fresh after you get to the Lakes of the Clouds Hut. Other than that I thought going up Ammonoosuc and down Jewell worked well for us. This is probably one of my favorite hikes but with a pretty disappointing summit but worth it for sure.
