Excellent video. I've been on all those trails, so I know this is real. So many many videographers keep the Camea on their face while talking about the trail. What's up with that?? You showed the trail. Fantastic and no dorky music!! I've been up there, at the hut, on the Jewell Trail and have NEVER heard banjo music. I love the sound of the mountains. The crunchy boots on the trail, the babbling brooks or waterfalls. I would love to do that again but as an old lady now I would have to take the train up and hike down. That's just part of life. I am lucky to be able to do that. People complain about the train, the noise, the smoke. That's because they are young and strong with energy. Wait till they are my age and see how they feel. Congrads on this video.
One of the best aspects of hiking for me is getting away from everything and just being out in the mountains - without all the other distractions. I put these up without music and without myself in them so people can get to see more of the hike itself. I'm glad that you liked the video and hopefully you can still manage to enjoy the summit of Washington whichever way you're able to get up there
I'm in my seventies now. I remarked to my son that the only hut I had not been to was Lake of the Clouds. He was scheming to get me up there. Maybe the train up and walk down. I really want a Lake of the "Crowds" baseball cap.
@@peterguercio9504 It's doable, Peter. Even though I don't know you or your health condition. Crawford path down and up to the hut and summit is 1.5 miles of intense hiking. I recommend you take the train to summit, hike down, stay overnight, hike back up to summit, take the train back down. After that you will know your limits. You can judge better if you want to hike one way. You will have a wonderful time and be so glad you did. Of course I mean next summer. Not spring as soon as they open the hut. There may still be some 'leftover' ice on those rocks. Good luck and happy trails. BTW don't let ANYBODY sneer at the train. Most hikers up in high elevations don't. But there's always that one jerk that loudly announces the train shouldn't be there. So many people would be left out of that awesome trip if it was taken away.
Thanks, I'm glad that you liked it. I enjoy listening to the sounds of the mountains and wanted to keep that for the video. This is a great hike, and definitely one I'd do again. You'll have a great time
Now I know what to expect. Gorgeous footage!
Thank you & good luck
No words needed… BEAUTIFUL video!
Thank you, glad you liked it

Nice and simple--best video I've come across to give me a sense of what to expect when hiking up Monroe in a couple weeks.
Thanks I'm glad you liked it. Hope you get some nice weather when you're out hiking it
Loved this video. No music or captions needed. Planning to hike this in June.
