- Unexpectedly got a Big Wang in from JDMuscle today for the WRX hatch! Now I did not intend to install this yet but we got a little excited about it so figured we would throw it on! Overall very happy with the Wing, also had a hawkeye come back in so we could swap the engine out of that one that overheated a few weeks ago.
Lastly, both the WRX and the STI will be getting tuned next, so updates on that coming in!

In order to get better fitment, you need to adjust placement. Loosen the nuts to where they’re a “loose snug”, push the wing to where the gaps are even. up, down, left, right. You might need to add washers if that doesn’t even out the wing to the hatch gap. Tap the wing with the palm of your hand if needed. However you need to move it to line up, then tighten the nuts down.

supposed to get it test fitted, shaved down so it sits flush, then paint and mount :) and definitely put double sided tape or something between the glass and the wing otherwise it will bounce around and crack the wing sides

I got the same wing from them. Had the same issues with the washer and fitment. Top isn't flush and the gap is a little big on the sides but it's not too bad tho! Especially for the fact that it already comes paint matched. Saves me the work and time of trying to do it myself. It could be better but it was worth it for me personally 😌
Overall I'm happy with it 🥳
The washer sprayer is definitely a PIA but aside from that it all fits up beautifully 🥳

Did you ever make a video for the 14 wrx spot welds for the clutch pedal?? I couldn’t remember if you did. I wanna see how to get the dash apart😂 it’s a super easy job. Take out wipers and motor, drill out spot welds, pull dash, insert bolts and locking nuts. I fixed my clutch issue too! The shop didn’t grease the clutch fork where the slave pushes it and it was making the pedal feel really choppy and noisy. There was also a huge chunk of rust on the slave plunger. My car is back to normal! Just need some miles to take away chatter and I can finally do pulls at 400hp on E and feel the power 🤙

Sad you went with a rep of the Varis wing. There is definitely not supposed to be a step lip on top where it mounts. And it shouldn't have a gap that large with the glass.

I don't think it matters which wire you use for ground or positive on a two wire brake light. It's just a dumb bulb. FYI. I don't think that epoxy will hold. That sprayer pumps out 2,900 psi. lol

I went with the carbon fiber wing, not a fan as far as fitment goes. I also got a small bag of hardware unlike you lol, had to go out to get the rest

@@Smeedia ECUFlash for reading/writing/adjustments and RomRaider for logging. Slight issue now with RomRaider, I can see everything is connected and logging values when I start/stop then check and all my Saved Datalog CSV files have no data for some reason? I'm using my phone to record the laptop screen gauges while I drive around, lol!

i bought my wing from bayson r. the base panel fitment was about the same. i sanded the inner curves to sit flush. the color match is worth it though!
The color match makes things si easy, don't have to send anything off for paint 😅🤝

2014 will have more cosmetic support but both are still ejs. Personally I'd get an 05 > 04
