You've clearly put in a lot of work, but you have a lot of "tells." Subtle movements and points of eye contact, and even blinking that give away what you're doing. Have you rehearsed this on video and watched it back? Have you reviewed the footage with a trusted, knowledgeable magician who can give you honest feedback? I agree with the people who say this is a solid routine. I just encourage you to smooth out some of the rough spots. GOOD JOB!

The rose represented the emotional turmoil faced by the magician, while the wands represented his efforts yet to no avail never gets noticed by the love of his life no matter how hard he tries. His need to love and be loved far exceeds his ability to control love and that which he can not have. The symbolism is there. Boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy finds wand, while the girl dies in a tragic blimp accident. Good year you ask? No, it was the worst year.
