    Good show Tazman. Two nice saws you got there.
    Nice to see the 026 out in the woods again. Looks to be running & cutting well there for you. The Stihl 026’s are still my favourite saws. I’ve not used many other saws, so I don’t have much to compare it to. Still building up my 026 collection & working on a couple of re-build projects with the 026’s that will keep me going for a while.
    That 350 sounds nice & looks like it was cutting really well too. I could hear a whistling sound coming from the 350, like a turbo whistling noise. Sounds awesome. Maybe I’ll look out for a 350 one day & give it a go.
    Nice channel Tazman, I’m enjoying your videos and it’s great to see you running the 026. It is obviously a saw that I have a good connection with & appreciate & value also.
    Stay cool dude. Respect ✊🏼

    My 026 came with a 19 inch bar with a .325, .050, 74 chain on it. I had a 18 inch, .325, .05, 68 Oregon bar on it for a while but like the slightly longer bar, both full comp.

      @johnclarke6647 2 года назад

      My crash damaged 026 had an 19 inch bar marked .325, .050,74, which is a 20 inch chain. I sanded the bar down and repainted it and put its .325chain on it. Be careful changing the rim sprocket. It takes a big one, which I had a hard time finding. I have several extra 3/8 rim sprockets for my big saws but they were much to small to fit the .026. The .325ought to be a better chain for the 026 than the 3/8. I know it balances out better with its 19 inch bar than it did with a solid 20 inch bar.

  • @johnclarke6647

    You need a Peavy with a foot. The foot will get logs off the ground so you can cut them.. my 026 has an 18 inch .325 bar full comp on it and not a 20 inch bar. It has better balance with an 18 inch bar. Most 350’s that I have seen also are fitted with 18 inch bars. I go more for balance than bar length. If I need a bigger bar, I grab a bigger saw.the smallest saw that I will put a 20 inch bar on is 55 cc’s. I consider my 026 as a general purpose limbing saw or one for 12 inch or so diameter stuff. I do not use it to buck up real big stuff, although it will. I just am not going to ask it to buck up 16-18 inch stuff as a regular diet.

It already has a ms 260 rear handle and a bunch of other new stuff I am replacing some stuff out of an abundance of caution, seals, boot, oil lines, etc. it runs great now. The cylinder had a few scratches and I may replace it with a Hiway Titanickle cylinder.
