Exactly!!! Well said Susan…I’ll never understand why people bother to post negative comments instead of just scrolling on ….seriously ! Life’s too short
But what will we do in January without the daily vlog? A question on the lips of many! This chatty format is so relaxing-it’s like sitting around the kitchen table with a couple of friends. Friends who drink wine, no less-my favourite kind of friends!
Gonna miss seeing you guys on the daily when vlogmas finishes! Loved the look around the back streets of Greenwich, most videos people do of the area is the view but I loved a nosey around all the back street nooks and crannies so appreciate it, thanks, oh and the background music was just right x👍
You are a lovely couple and I love listening to you both. You are sooo compatible and respectful of each other. I love that in young people (I'm a 60 year old mum.of 2 sons). Ash your little chuckles are so endearing - you both are funny and your homesty and straight forwardness is refreshing. Glad you dont let any "negatives' effect you - shows how confident you both are as well you should be. I hope my son finds a wonderful partner like either of you some day. I am sure your parents must be very proud of you both . I wish you a lovely Christmas and a very happy new year and all the very best with your channel and any other ventures for 2025 onwards.
Loved Chad's mini history lessons, also as others mentioned how respectful you are of each other. It's wonderful to see a healthy relationship where two individuals support and care for each other.
I really enjoyed listening to Chad's property tips. Delivered with sincerity and honesty as though you were looking out for us! Thank you, Chad! It was appreciated.
Your vlogs have sucked me in and made me a total couch potato all weekend! 🤪 I couldn’t turn them off!! Binged all of your vlogmas! Will miss daily once vlogmas ends but then I’ll get my life back 😂. It’s great not just seeing your home but also sharing about different areas of London especially the residential areas. And love all the history and just general banter. And your candidness! Suggestion re: wine glasses - don’t put them in the dishwasher. I’ve never put them in a dishwasher. Always hand wash and dry. Just takes a sec. Well worth it. If you want the same glass as your tumblers, you’re probably looking for textured or hammered glass. But I’d suggest not such thick glass for wine. Maybe try stemless wine glasses as those are less likely to break as they don’t tip over. I have Schott Zwiesel wine glasses and they’re a great cheap price and fantastic quality. I live in NYC and we can buy them at places like Crate & Barrel so not sure if they’re sold in the UK but I’d think so as I believe it’s a German brand. I have the white and red glasses with stems but they also sell a stemless wine glass. Would suggest looking for these in the UK. They also do beautiful champagne glasses which I have as well. They’re usually sold at a discount if you buy a set of 6. I bet a store like John Lewis would have a good selection of reasonably priced wine glasses for you. But try to find the Schott Zwiesel ones. Maybe a quick google search would locate a store that sells them there. See you on screen tomorrow! 👋
I think viewing property, ahead of actually having your own home up for sale, is a wise thing - it affords you time without commitment and pressure, and it helps you gage how the current market is going. ❤
Thank you both Ash & Chad for insightful conversation around property purchase. In terms of questions for future videos, I’d be interested to learn more about Chad’s career journey.
In the US there is no restriction on viewing a listing - agents have no issue with potential buyers taking a look about - good for business - thank you both for another very enjoyable video - keep on doing what you do - much appreciated 🙂
13:59 It’s easy to say ‘ignore the haters’ but probably harder to do. Your videos are great and it’s clear loads of us enjoy them. Happy Christmas to you both xx
Lovely video and music you both. Love Chad's explanations and moreover his Scottish accent. Ash thanks for making your videos so calm and easy going and a bit longer some times😊
Thank you for sharing more of your insights and wisdom with us! I look forward to seeing more of the London property market with you both next year! Greenwich is lovely - thanks for taking us!
Yup, that’s how open houses and contracts work here in the states too. I do think neighbors are curious about what a home looks like and so they go to the open house in their neighborhood…it’s always good to see how your house measures up to the neighbors.
Correct, in the United States an open house is just that, "open" and anyone can enter and look around. In our city we are advised to hide or remove anything of value, all medications, anything we don't want disappearing. Neighbors are keen on snooping more than comparing and contrasting their homes, especially since Zillow provides such a wide range of pics for viewing in the first place. I'd rather not have an open house if I was selling.
Loved chad talking about the flag! I have found that I have to wash my wine glasses by hand and not put them in the dishwasher regardless of the brand ❤️👍❤️
Hi from Brooklyn, New York! This is one of my favorite channels! Love Ash and so nice seeing Chad also being part of the vlogs. And really appreciate how much you share and the honesty. Such a great team and couple. Thank you so much for the daily videos. I know it has to be so much work.
What an absolutely brilliant video chaps. Your boogie around London was extremely interesting & the architecture is outstanding. Chatting with Chad. What a lovely addition this is. A good chat is what we all need. Ash you are so respectful of Chad what a gentleman you are. Keep them coming chaps.
My son took me to Greenwich on my last visit to London, I live the other side of the world so don’t get to see him much. So this one was quite special as walked those paths and visited the market. Thank you.
😊😊😊thank-you for filming around the Trafalga pub.It was travel log quality and would make lovely framed prints.Interesting to hear the history of the Union flag
Ash and Chad…Really enjoy the videos. Don’t feel you need to explain yourselves especially real estate dealings. Ignorant people are going to be ignorant. Love the Greenwich part ..we plan on doing that in a couple weeks. Ps.. the Cutty Sark was a trade clipper not a naval ship. 😊 Cheers !
Ash and Chad, thank you for another great video. I loved the tour of Greenwich, and the informal chat about real estate. You both are perfect gentlemen, so considerate, transparent, and genuine. I really enjoy your company. Looking forward to tomorrow's Vlogmas. Robert.
The wine glasses I love are Libbey Glasses, which are durable and have a heavy weight to the hand, which I prefer -- especially for toasting. I break the thin ones to easily. They aren't hammered like the Zara Home ones you showed, though. If you want something like that, try looking for hammered glass wine goblets. 🍷 Also, I cannot believe people are confused or think there is something suspicious about a house viewing! 🙃 My husband and I look at older houses all the time when there is a listing for a property/location we like. Sometimes it is finding that next house that prompts you to put your house on the market. It's a fairly normal practice, I thought. Cheers, gents! Thanks for the wonderful videos. 🥂
Saw Chad on a podcast talking about his career, it was a cool discussion, this lead me to your blog Ash. Really enjoying your blog and how you work as a couple living in London! My husband and I are from Glasgow City Centre and I spent the majority of my childhood on Shooters Hill Rd Woolwich. Love London and back visiting in January! Keep going Ash and you both should ignore the negative numpty bampots! Chad will know the meaning! 😂
Ash - love your blogs, but Chad has proved to be a wonderful addition! Love all the little bits of interesting history he slips in. We lived in London 45 years ago and loved Greenwhich - if you moved there you’d love it. But oh my goodness - London prices are eye watering
Love your chats!!!! Questions do you both have different chores around the house? Who's the better gardner and cook? 😊 Greetings from Southern Ontario Canada ❤
And with this, I’m caught up with your vlogmas videos! My husband and I crossed the Atlantic to enjoy a holiday in London and Düsseldorf. So much fun! Have you tried “Babylon” from Penhaligon’s?! It’s similar to The Dandy but somehow a little different. I LOVE your chatty videos…it’s like having a seat and a glass of wine with you talking about what matters the most…life. Real life. Also loved your quick Paris getaway.
Honestly …why anyone would post negative comments about you both is beyond me …oh wait . …jealousy is an ugly thing !! Love you and your content ❤❤❤ Greetings from Qatar 🇶🇦
Hi, Ash! I've been following your renovations since the first house tour. Love seeing how the house became more curated as time goes by. As someone who is from a different part of the world, could you share the size of your home? It would help me better visualize what can be done in a limited amount of space. Happy Holidays to the both of you!
Also, where is everything stored? Would love to see how you and Chad contain everything in such a small space. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space.
I'm like Ash -- fell in love with yeaterday's house #2. Was hoping that you would announce you put in a low-ball offer that was accepted. What little we saw of it was intriguing, and screamed of potential.
Actually Washington DC and Boston Massachusetts are really expensive to park in as well. Beautiful area Greenwich…. Love 💗 you guys. Chad gotta love 💗 you because my grandfather is from St. Boswells…. Most of the relatives still live in Scotland 🏴
The US also has ‘open houses’ where a real estate agent will open up a house on the weekend for people to come in and view the property. I would imagine any realtor is going to expect a certain number of people who come to view the house that have no interest in buying and are just curious, especially if the house has been remodeled. Then people in the neighborhood who are curious about the remodeled house and maybe are even looking for ideas for their own house. Thank you for sharing the tour around Greenwich. I really enjoyed seeing places that I’ve only ever read about in books.
They can be if you’re the person visiting homes that you don’t intend to buy and couldn’t afford to, but it’s probably not so fun for the real estate agent.
Re glassware; try Riedel Crystal from Austria. It’s always on sale (at least in Australia) they have various standard designs which they keep in production. They have an appropriate glass for different types or wine & spirits. You can always buy replacements if you drop one or the dishwasher smashes one. Go for the ‘O’ series if you want something more modern, or the Vinum series for something more classic. Really enjoy your blogs and appreciate your great taste!
Chad's a natural on camera. Very wise and uncensored. We love it! Would love to watch you take us on your home-buying journey. The ins and outs of purchasing a home in London is interesting to me as I am in Canada and would love to see how different or similar the process is. From market research before deciding on a desired area, to finding a property and making an offer, conveyancing and surveys, then completing the purchase and moving in. So much to cover before we get to the beautiful interior design part which I love as well.
Love your videos, my partner and I are from Canada. We had always considered France, but now we are thinking more that perhaps we’d like to maybe live in England one day. It’s your videos that have now made us make this consideration. Love all that you share. Thanks so much!
Hi guys loving your vlogmas videos by the way. I bought a property 6 months ago and I know I don't want to live here so I'm doing it up as a project to sell to pay off my mortgage and buy a place I really can put my heart and soul into. Any tips on how to spot a good estate agent and making sure you buy a house with considerate neighbours. Thank you ❤ xx😊
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I live in Southern California near the beach, and find that your real estate stories (money-wise) aren’t really all that different from here. The buildings, density and terrain are quite different but the experience with your “estate” agents and our “real estate” agents are similar. The visit to Greenwich was amazing. (Time for me to google Cutty Sark.) I am enjoying both of your Vlogmas presentations very much. FYI, footed wine glasses don’t do well in dishwashers. You can find wine glasses without the feet. Again, google. They’re everywhere. Looking forward to your next installment and appreciate all the work you put into these.
You should try The Vintage List wine glasses! I have several sets of their glassware and it's very high quality and would go well with your traditional interiors. British brand too
Hi Ash and Chad . Atticus and Stone online do a nice wine glass and water glass. Nice quality at a very reasonable price. They are gold trimmed with the design you mentioned.
This was very informative. Thank you. I'm from the US (grandparents from Ireland and Scotland) and I did not know the details of the British flag. Greenwich looked lovely.
Lovely chat guys & thanks for the walkabout through Greenwich - not been there for years. It’s the same with Open House here in Sydney. I find most agents are very happy for you to go for a look - even if you don’t buy that one you’ll maybe buy another. It makes so much sense to view a wide range of places & adjacent suburbs to see what’s around. You may come across something you hadn’t considered or a design idea that you can use down the track. Good luck to you - you both seem to be a fab team! And thanks for taking us along.
You need to know the market in order to decide if you want to make that next property jump. Nothing wrong with looking at houses to see what's out there.
Oh I love watching you two......you are such a perfect match. Both very knowledgeable in different fields. I love how you juzt bounce off each other but totally respect one another. Shame about your glasses breaking......Im sure I daw something like that in either Habitat or John Lewis although they had abit of a green hue. Talking of breaking, were you able to fix the chair you knelt on Ash? 🙈. Have a great week you gorgeous pair 😘😘 xx
Correct same in Australia also if you are attending an auction & bidding you need to have had submitted your details, have proof of funds etc. I do not know who has had an issue, its the same in Australia. I've viewed many houses & been to auctions not intending to buy. Absolutely cash means short settlement. Long settlements are disadvantage also. Content? seeing UK, London, yes home buying, Chads FUN FACTS, happy so far. Maybe wine chat once a weekend.
Pepys liked Greenwich, he said there was a fine sermon in the church. So much history ! I bought my house for £36k......🤣 Greenwich wasnt so gentrified then . Cutty Sark was a tea clipper!
I live in NE London and when we go to Greenwich we park on the Isle of Dogs (for nothing) and either walk through the foot tunnel or take one stop on the DLR. My useful tip for the day ! PS The Cutty Sark was a Tea Clipper and nothing to do with Nelson, though I am sure he liked a cup a tea.
You guys have truly become one of my favorite youtube channels. Love when both you and Chad have segments together. Do you guys have a p.o. box where we can send cards or gifts to you guys?
😊😊I don't think you are grumpy Chad...straight talking, seeing the pitfalls and low standards.Good to know about house buying. The Cutty Sark(Scottish for short night dress)was one of the last tea clipper sailing ship.Pictures of the ship were very popular in the 1960's😊😊😊
PS - Riedal wine glasses they are dishwasher proof make sure they dont touch in dw though!! Also forget to say appreciate your daily vlogs and the work tbat must go into them. You are doing fab tho as all these comments attest to. Also next time you pot up your garden bath tub you can use old polystyrene blocks/parvel packing etc to fill half way then put soil on top. Roots wont need to anchor the depth of a tub - particularly herbs etc in summer so no need to spend so much on filling with compost plus it will keep huge pots/tuns etc much lighter if moving around! Sorry for the epic comments but I too like to impart useful info if it helps people 😊
I love how you listen and let Chad speak without interrupting or trying to hog the limelight from him when he makes an appearance on your vlogs.
They are GENTLEMEN 😇😇😇
@@RichardJayJr-vz8evyou are so right. They are very respectful of each other and it’s lovely to see.
Chad is such a knowledgeable and honest guy, and Ash is so distinguished and elegant! You look perfect together! Thank you for your videos.
With Dougal in the mix, they make the perfect Christmas card 🎄
You took the words right out of my mouth. Two people, equal parts wonderfully cool.
Chad's the man! I hope he continues with his wealth of knowledge/information. So interesting.😅
If people don't like you just don't watch ! SIMPLES......We Love you...❤
Exactly!!! Well said Susan…I’ll never understand why people bother to post negative comments instead of just scrolling on ….seriously ! Life’s too short
Wow, I can see why you two are a couple! Perfect blend of personality that make these videos so pleasurable to watch
Chads facts are so fun and interesting to listen to. I learn something new every time!
We appreciate you Ash and Chad! 😊
We definitely do . ☺👍🤗
But what will we do in January without the daily vlog? A question on the lips of many! This chatty format is so relaxing-it’s like sitting around the kitchen table with a couple of friends. Friends who drink wine, no less-my favourite kind of friends!

Totally agree! I’m really going to miss the daily vlogs too-they’ve been such a highlight!
Love the Chad and Ash content. But humbly requesting more Dougal content! P.S. Love the matching jackets! Great video as always!!
Me as well! Love to see more of Dougal out & about in his jacket ❤️🐶
Please continue the neighborhood walks and real estate viewings! And keep bringing Chad!
You are a lovely couple and I love listening to you both. You are sooo compatible and respectful of each other. I love that in young people (I'm a 60 year old mum.of 2 sons). Ash your little chuckles are so endearing - you both are funny and your homesty and straight forwardness is refreshing. Viewing properties before putting your own home up for sale is such a smart move!
5:12 I love when Chad educates us 🥺🫶🏾
Me too, since he put a stop to my previous notion that Cutty Sark was only a Scottish whiskey. Apparently, there is an entire boat involved.
Thank you both Ash & Chad for insightful conversation around property purchase. In terms of questions for future videos, I’d be interested to learn more about Chad’s career journey.
That would be interesting
I hope you continue these Vlogs in January. So interesting , inspiring and transparent.
Chad, you’re so knowledgeable about various topics. Love it.
Ash, I love your upbeat energy and smile. Sooo handsome 🤩
In the US there is no restriction on viewing a listing - agents have no issue with potential buyers taking a look about - good for business - thank you both for another very enjoyable video - keep on doing what you do - much appreciated 🙂
Same everywhere.
Thank you. Enjoyed seeing Dougal in his posh doggy coat.
I love Chad. You two are great together.❤
13:59 It’s easy to say ‘ignore the haters’ but probably harder to do. Your videos are great and it’s clear loads of us enjoy them. Happy Christmas to you both xx
No, the Cutty Sark was not Nelson's ship, but it is a famous ship that is well worth learning about… it was a businessman’s ship..
I only know the name from the Scotch
Lovely video and music you both. Love Chad's explanations and moreover his Scottish accent. Ash thanks for making your videos so calm and easy going and a bit longer some times😊
Another fantastic vlog…..will miss your vlogmas and your chats!!😢😢

The cutty sark was a clipper ship that Carried tea and Nelson’s ship was the victory
Chad- I appreciate your efforts with these videos and honestly enjoy your candid input! The home buying process in the UK is so different.
Chad and Ash chatting is marvellous! ❤ I love seeing the Georgian architecture. I work in a Georgian Palladian building.

Ash you're expression when Chad was talking history of the flag, priceless!!! 😂
Thanks for Sharing Greenwich…love this section of London….its always fun taking water taxi over to bank
😊😊😊thank-you for filming around the Trafalga pub.It was travel log quality and would make lovely framed prints.Interesting to hear the history of the Union flag
‘Bare with’ love that saying!
I just love London, so I’m so happy to see different parts. Thanks
Cheers !
Love this video. Full of basic info on history that a lot of us ignore. Thanks!!!!
Enjoy the home tours, keep them coming! Keeps my dream alive of living in London ;).
Wine glasses: Schott Zwiesel. Durable and great quality.
I think you'd describe the textured pattern as hammered glass.
Good for you both morgage free so young.good luck to you both.i also am scottish and very straight to the point like you. scottish
I love you both . Lots of fun !
I enjoy your visits such as Greenwich . Come down to Brighton for the day , its fabulous !
I really enjoyed the tour of Greenwich, as well as the tour of Islington. Seeing different neighborhoods in London is definitely a treat!

Chad you have such a beautiful smile! When you smile your whole face lights up. I might start a petition for more Dougal though. Let the boy shine 😄
Love you Vlogs and your honesty - your home is amazing and you are both very talented .
Great vlog, great music, always makes me feel sort of nostalgic. Thank you from Poland.
I love the Nina Campbell wine glasses at Next. They’re great enough and still sturdy
In Canada I have seen “hammered” wine glasses with a similar texture- stemless. Or check for beveled or textured maybe.
Ash, great new sunglasses!
I caught that too 😊
Hi, Ash! I've been following your renovations since the first house tour. Love seeing how the house became more curated as time goes by.
With the current government, I wouldn't come to live here, even if you live in Canada 🥴 we are going the same way 😢
Love your videos!! Look forward to more ! You guys are great ! ...... ignore the crazies....!
I hand wash our wine glasses because they are crystal but there are some really cool glasses around more substantial. Loved the tour again today.
I always use Riedel for my wine glasses, I reckon they’re fantastic
Great vlog!It looks so insanely cold. While we suffer with 36 degrees (c) in Sydney Australia.
Power couple ! Looking forward for the next house 😊

Again, google. They’re everywhere. Looking forward to your next installment and appreciate all the work you put into these.
You should try The Vintage List wine glasses! I have several sets of their glassware and it's very high quality and would go well with your traditional interiors. British brand too
I love your videos !
Hi Ash and Chad . Atticus and Stone online do a nice wine glass and water glass. Nice quality at a very reasonable price. They are gold trimmed with the design you mentioned.
If you guys have Pottery Barn over there, they make the hammered glasses in a bunch of different styles including wine glasses
Love seeing london , my grandads family are from there and i would love to go to the streets where they lived . Loved the facts too ❤️😍😊
This was very informative.
You are such a nice couple. I love to watch your videos. Because you are real and not over the top 😉
I like this Christmas vlog idea and all the videos have been very interesting...
I think chad is so honesty.!!! Very nolohanle on terms of many aspects .!!! . Love to wach your uploads . Lots of love ♥️
Love your choice of music.
Pepys liked Greenwich, he said there was a fine sermon in the church. So much history ! I bought my house for £36k......🤣 Greenwich wasnt so gentrified then . Cutty Sark was a tea clipper!
So nice to see you both again. Greenwich is definitely the place to live especially with a dog. 🥰💜🌳
