Lojo... Thoughts: 1. Ramp for launching small boats. 2. Sandy beach area for your family. 3. Shaded area, perhaps a pad with a pergola and picnic area. 4. Bar-b-q...for cookouts. 5. Run electric for lighting, power, etc. 6. Water/sink..so many uses.

You need a dock! Give those bass some cover! I have pulled a few big un’s under docks😊 maybe a bridge over to the island

A lot of my biggest bass came out from under docks. When I was 8 I pulled a 5 pound smallie out from under a dock on my Pflueger President and Scheels rod. Good memories.

Definitely can get a few water fountains in the swim zone they will help move water and keep weeds away, oxygen added to the pond and double up for a fun water play area. Get some cool under water lights in the swimming zone even color changing lights for the water fountain displays. Definitely some outdoor speaker system in the trees for music and can be used to play injured animals for hunting. Can have an outdoor projector for movie nights under the stars.
Hey Lojo, I wanna say thank you. You, Norm, Ayo, and Yak have all got me back into fishing after years of not. I used to fish with my dad a lot and I started to get really depressed after he passed away in 2011 and I couldn’t do it anymore. It always just reminded me that he wasn’t standing down the bank somewhere with me. But after getting really into your guys videos the last year or so, I went out of grabbed the cheapest combo I could find and got my license again. I had NEVER caught a bass before but I knew we have smallie and largemouth bass in my local river. I watched you guys slamming these hogs and I had some serious fomo so I started learning how to catch them. All the challenges you guys do in shops showed me the kind of baits I should be looking for. I had never used soft plastics before and my first pack of yum craws caught me my first bass. A 1.2ish lb smallie and I have been “hooked” since ❤. Thank you LoJo for always giving back to your community and keep on giving us all this awesome content!
If you do the island you should but a bridge in to access it and it will also give the fish some cover.

I'd say if you do a meandering stream maybe include a small liner pond for keeping pet bass in grow crossbreeding genetics. Also doubled up as a bait growing pond that spills into the main pond for a food source. The fire pit area you could incorporate an outdoor cook area that will be great for you and neighbor Darrell to do cooking videos under a decorated trellis.
@LOJO I actually am kinda with your wifey on the island. I kinda like the peninsula and think it would look nicer to just expand on that instead. On the topic of the family area...I suggest maybe a nice big gazebo with lighting, bug screening and outlets. Also, if you are planning to put in a beach to swim...you might maybe consider making a little wash shed with outdoor sink and shower. The wash station can double as a place to make a fish cleaning port too.

I would definitely have them dump some sand around most of the shallow areas for the bream to bed on. They love sandy soil!!!
I would definitely do an island. Maybe a sand top layer you can grate to keep the weeds out. Otherwise if you do your research you could landscape with some beautiful ornamental trees and bushes. Along with strain of grass that stays short enough it doesn't need cutting. Or my favorite using moss instead of grass. They sell different types even mini essentials oil producing moss that feels good on your feet.

I’ve seen those saws on the helicopter before, I’m in NC so that’s cool knowing that’s where they got it from. VERY cool, glad you were able to capture it. Pond looking awesome. Love the family area, should do like a natural patio like area with fire pit and swings and such. Maybe even hammocks, covered area or gazebo, grill area for catch and cooks. Will be SOOO awesome, maybe even a little area for a tent
When it's done we need a double digit series to stock 3 more 10lb plus bass and 3 catfish 10lb plus

Next to and around your oak tree u should build your dock and have it extend to a boathouse with a deck over hanging the water connected to the dock, have an indoor outdoor kitchen for all your catch n cooks, lounge area, and shower/bathroom for when the family hangs out n goes swimming. And you could even turn the roof into a fishing platform or a sun deck.
How do you become related to someone like LOJO? Got to be some of the best adventures out there!🤣

Pond is looking very awesome!!!👊 On the island maybe you can plant an oak & a couple other trees which eventually will provide shade cover which the fish would love!! Just a thought!! lojoooo!! for that family spot. you could put a large shed and turn it into a mini bar and make a concrete patio type of platform and if you have gatherings at the house people could gather at that spot fish/ swim in the pond while enjoying music and whatever food and drinks you bring out.

Bring in some sand for swimming area for your family. Be nice once it's all done. Can't wait to watch..
I say make like a tiled picnic area with a bonfire pit. Maybe dig a well/spring and have a creek meandering through into the pond. Definitely some kind of beach area that transitions into a pebble Spawning ground. Some zip lines and water slides like the Action Water park from the 80's. Maybe a water splash pad area for the kids is a good way to introduce fresh water into the pond keeping it full. You could even on the beach part get one of the floating obstacle coarse or a swim out dock island to fish from and keep the feeder.
I live in western nc and we see those helicopter saws all the time. Our terrain is pretty rugged and it's the best way to trim trees along our power lines

Gotta build a nice covered outdoor kitchen area. Something thatll look good on camera. Plenty of room to film and setup cameras. Easy content doing cull catch and cooks. I love outdoor cooking content. Neighbor Darrel in the kitchen is a must watch.. Doesnt even have to be catch and cook either. Can just do some dinner after a challenge. Would make the videos longer and would be something else to hint toward in the intro montage. So the viewers stick around to the end for the dinner content. When its not content time its still a beautiful spot for the fam and friends. Fire pit for the winter time. Outdoor seating. Perfect all year long.

Cypress tree on the island. Definitely a dock with zip line. A screened in space. Sandy and Rocky areas. A slide that looks like a rock
In the spot where you want to put the rope swing for the fam, you should build a small shed and turn it into either a playhouse for the kids or like a bar so you can have cool family get togethers by the pond
For your family area, tree fort, with slides, fireman pole, rope swings, and a deck going out over the pond to fish from and to jump into the pond, if deep enough in that spot. If the island is not far, a zip line from the fort to the island, and 2 ropes to get off the island instead of a bridge. Have a bbq area, take decking right to the edge of the pond, that has a hidden storage box under it. To keep rods and tackle just encase you see a good bass while relaxing.
I say the oak tree should get a tree house with a zip line across the pond

You should turn the island into a little putt putt course, and you should make the outer edge of the pond, and around the oak tree, into a track for go karts, mini bikes or some such insane fun 😃
Your pond is going to be awesome when it's finished. Here's an idea, keep a few of the largest trees and build yourself a modern style Treehouse. It would be so awesome next to your pond

Like everything else in life it takes practice to get to the level these guys are at. Once you get the hang of it it’s like riding a bike. I was an heavy equipment operator for ten years before I broke my neck and after a certain point you just get more wise and notice more little things. Running a helicopter is the same concept.
Lojo we used to have a small pond really close to the size you're building now with an island we ended up making a zip line from the land to the island and it ended up being badass you should try it. Pretty easy to build and not very expensive but will end up being lots of fun for kids young and even when they get older
Make it a picnic area. Shelter with table and chairs. RUN POWER DOWN THERE! then you can have fish fries!! 😮
After all of this settles you could have an amazing trophy bass lake there. If you built a nice hunting lodge somewhere with some cool landscaping it could be a great little earner.
You should build the ultimate fish cleaning and game processing screened in hut with tables and running water.
Man I'm excited for this 20 ft deep is going to be insane for the backyard pond but imagine the giant catfish that will lurk down their Imagine bringing giant 5 LB Bluegill/Sunfish and letting them breed so that way neighbor Darryl can eat good from the pond amazing video as always I can't wait for the next one

I have a friend that's a ground man for a crew that does that helicopter tree cutting along power lines n what not. It's pretty cool.

When u do the island add a cool foot bridge or rope bridge to access the island from land and a small screened in gazebo with lights etc.

I was surveying. I was stung by 21 ground hornets. Lady was joking about tell me to take benadryl and go back to work. When back to the shop and showed her my back. I was told to go to the hospital. Which looking back I should've. I was taking 2 benadryl every hour. Took almost 2 weeks for the swelling to come down. Apparently I'm allergic to them. The VA sent me epipens after that 😅
