  • Do you only use the lasso as a defensive guard?
Defending in jiu jitsu is essential, however, if you want to start dominating your training partners rather than being dominated, you’re going to have to attack.
In this video, you’ll learn how to use the lasso to transition to single leg x - where the attacks are plentiful and much easier!
This video is a brief glimpse into my Single Leg X course on Jiu Jitsu X. Nearly 50 videos of high-quality content! Check it out Today at jiujitsux.com/...

Whoa I'm gonna use that. My main entry has been spider guard -> SLX. I actually use collar sleeve a lot more.

    Really cool transition.
Is it risky to leave the leg on the hip instead of lassoing? From a posture control perspective I’d have thought that the push on the hip and pull on the sleeve would create a greater counterpoint so would be a better posture break so I’m looking for your guidance on why that might be a bad idea and why the transition to lasso is better.
Love your stuff keep it coming please 😊

@@dc_deangelis Thanks man, I figured it was similar to having a two on one with the foot in the hip where you have wrist control pushing into their chest and flairing their elbow
