Anyone who thinks music is better today is NUTS ! JAMES BROWN WAS A MUSICAL GENIUS ! May GOD rest James Brown...Lynn Collins...& Bobby Byrd in peace...
It's hard to believe James Brown a man that was all into perfection and class, fired bootsy Collins because he was smoking weed, drugs he didn't tolerate, but at the endof his life he would become strung out on drugs.
SouL on ToP Gettin FunkY, with a Lynn Collins DroP, with thE effect of James Brown VideoCLiP ProduCTioN Locked intO thiS GLitterBoX Proper CLasSiC cuT, absolutely Fabulous 💯%
I don't know if that was Bootsy or not, but that bass is deep... [P.S. Bootsy and Catfish left in '71 to go to Parliament and this track was cut in '72.] Regardless J.B. will ALWAYS be #1.
Well this is fantastic, but I obviously like the original better because Lyn Collins sings in more of it. But I love the instrumental of this probably better than the original. Is this an actual unreleased recording or did you somehow put this together?
I think it's a mixture of the two, it sound like it was put together because you can hear some of the original throughout it but I think it's some unreleased content too.
Remember it was Einstein who created the bass of hip hop.... Yeah he did...way back in 1275... and the snare was started by Zeus...dats rite i said it um um ...

He kicked his drug addiction during his 2nd stint in prison. Clean from 1991 onwards.
And he wanted Bootsy to go do his own thing ❤😊
