You can come to Jesus Christ and experience an eternal joy and peace.
Personally, I think the "Power of Friendship" trope at least has a reason to be used so often in Fairy Tail unlike other animes and shows that use the same trope where they pull the trope out of their ass with little to no rhyme or reason. The trope is used to help build FT's magic system (case and point- the power of emotions), and is literally the whole reason the Fairy Tail guild was formed in the first place; to establish a safe haven for wizards and children to come and form everlasting friendships, to have a family. Hiro Mashima himself said that he created the story to reflect his own experiences and feelings he had with FRIENDS, and he wanted that to be apparent and shown in the overarching themes of Fairy Tail. So the "Power of Friendship" trope actually has a reason for being an important thing in FT, unlike so many other animes that use the same exact trope even if in their own stories and settings it makes even less sense (yet FT is shit on for using this trope even though it has actual REASONING behind it, whereas no one has a heart attack when other animes/shows use it w/ no reasoning at all. Make it make sense!) Personally, I understand if people don't like the whole "Power of Friendship" trope. But don't go saying FT is cringey for using it and then turn around and cheer or not have a problem with it when another show like One Piece or Naruto uses the EXACT same trope.
Natsu isnt powered up by friendship. Do to Igneel being inside him when Natsu is on the verge of death his rage amplify his power by mind subconsciously telling Igneel that he needs more firepower to protect the ones he love.

Except I do have a right because in both instances of Power of Friendship being used it’s both cringe and lazy. And in case of building the magic system that only pertains to Natsu and Natsu alone. Not to mention but they do this every damn arc. Like we get it. I feel like if Hiro just wanted friendship to be the only damn massage through the entire story, then Fairy Tail had no right being 500+ chapters. Especially when it comes at the cost of characters being stagnant through 90% of the story, which in turns makes most arcs feel and structured like filler.
To me this show not only knows how to actually juggle a large cast of characters and still have the day ones be relevant but the power of friendship can be used by all of them and are capable of getting in a good fight
This is the “power of friendship” trope done right though. It’s not used as an overpowering force between a few characters through most of the show, it’s a huge guild of people working together. The whole point of the guild is that they’re a huge found family. Working together and supporting each other is what gets them through all the hardships their guild faces. I come from a fairly large, close knit family so this whole aspect of the show resonated with me a lot. Fairy Tail definitely goes down as one of my favorite anime ever.

I think the power of friendship is a good thing I don't know WHY people would hate that I think it's good and it might mean like a family bond or being a brother to someone REALLY not just friends but making them a part of your own family you have.
At best it highlights the bonds of the characters at worst it’s used as a clutch that immediately 180’s the situation negating all of the previous worry and strife of the last few moments. Like every major fight erza does she gets curbstomped then remembers her friends and immediately starts winning like every time. She’s Titania not Tin you can’t just make her super weak in the fight and then just immediately make her Over Powering the threat.
Then they will be like mha or demon slayer are amazing. Despite them having basically the same ideas. As the main character cant do anything without friendship

It's an important aspect of her character and is a great way of translating that no matter how strong you become, the past can't ever be fully resolved. It *always* have an effect on you, and it will always hold you back. What matters though is having the strength and will power to push past it with sheer force of character and remembrance of what you have now. It's a great theme and great way of doing an "OP characters" yet holding them back realistically. Makarov is held back by his age, because the next generation should be leading the charge to the future, and Laxus is their actual ace in the hole whose restricted by his growth to acknowledge the value of those around him, and letting go of his selfish lone wolf traits, and putting himself in disadvantage situations for the sake of protection rather than dominance.
I am currently reading the 100 year quest manga, and I cant lie, I have returned to my origins, the lore and the way they show the world mechanics is just amazing.
Ahh, I dropped the manga on purpose because I got so attached to it but didn't want to wait so I dropped it to have more chapters waiting for ME hahaha How many chapters are out currently tho? I made that decision years ago lol

Yeah I remember I read the Manga at first but then dropped it but I never did that for the anime I think the music had a big impact on that its so hype.
Fairy Tail has always had a place in my heart ever since I first started watching. While, it's not my favorite, it's still up there purely off of my emotional attachment to the series and its characters. It taught me that it's okay to rely on other people if you need it and that more often than not, you'll try harder at something if you're doing it for someone else's sake. It also shows that anyone can be your family regardless of blood ties or background. Despite the hate it gets for the whole "power of friendship" thing and the fanservice, it's a series that wears it's heart on its sleeve and the themes that go along with it are really well thought out and wholesome to a point that every win and loss feels like it's so much bigger than just the characters directly involved with each fight. Everyone in the guild has a sense of belonging and acceptance towards each other and I love it.
Fairy Tail was one of the shows that got me into anime and is amazing. There are so many moments that make me tear up. I wish some of the filler wasn't there because it can really break the flow in the story but it was a good fun show. It may be goofy and childish at some points compared to some of the other big anime but that light hearted feel was what made it fun.
Fairy Tail gets hate because it's actually amazing and gives so many characters multiple times to shine without diminishing the strength they gained and achievements they accomplished.

I honestly believe that while it is not above genuine criticism, it gets the most flak from those that are lonely or angry at the world. Its message of Love and the true power of friendship/companionship is unmatched in anime.

I completely agree. It was a journey we all took part in to some extent. That music gets me fired up and I've heard the song so many times that I can imagine the entire song just even thinking about it. But especially the Dragon Force theme. That goes so hard that I use it to motivate myself into pushing myself to do better. I'll always love this series.
It was established in volume one that feelings influence magic power. I get it tho. But people just point at fairy tail when in more "popular" anime they do it as well. The theme is family so obviously natsu and everyone else is gonna protect their family.

Yeah the only main difference is fairytail explicitly says "fighting for my friends" at some times and its built into the power system. But the whole trope of fighting for those you care about and protecting others is just basic shonen writing. Dbz, naruto, demon slayer, my hero, one piece, black clover, basically every popular battle shonen has moments of "I wont let you hurt them, etc etc."

All I know is that, fairy tail is a true anime not like any other and I will admit just because Natsu said “I would never leave a single comrade alone” or something like that I will DEFINITELY cry. I know it’s cringe too but trust me it really does hit different it’s an anime to show that these people have more courage to fight, even risk they’re lives for others it’s truly heart warming. -when Natsu says “no matter what I would give my life to fight for the ones I love even if it kills me!” With that tune playing we all know the Villain is gonna hold his last breath after the fight 💀👍

I know im 9 months late but the power of friendship problem is a season 3 thing (they say its power of friendship but most people know its the death bait they were angry about) i hated all the death bait in season 3 but its not going to ruin season 1 and 2 for me, thats like everyone dunking on naruto cause the war arc was kinda wonky(the war arc of naruto is legit the equivalent to season 3 ngl). Its like how we all shouldnt drop the 8 seasons of game of thrones cause the 8th season had a bad ending
i finished it a month ago after starting it when i was in middle school, i’ve been graduated from hs since 2021. i completely restarted and finished within 3 months, everyday of fairy tail, i don’t see how ppl say it’s boring or has no plot, i found it very interesting, especially when it came to the last two seasons, definitely a 10/10 anime

Was my 1st anime which got me into anime and the reason I have watched all of the anime so far, I can never bring myself to hate this anime ever. Love the final battle and when Natsu turned into his dragon form (like not full drag but the time when he was fighting Erzas bf, Jellal in his weird looking base) that was my favorite

It’s hated because of lack of research and people just not paying attention. number one it’s literally stated that feelings make someone stronger in the verse. Number two the whole idea of Fairy tail is found family and friendships so of course the “power of friendship” is going to be there. Number three people exaggerate the amount of “power of friendship” used in Fairy Tail. Arc by arc here’s each reason why the main villain lost their fight. Natsu’s flame of emotion overpowered the wind guy. Gray’s two handed ice make was sturdier than Lyon’s one handed version. Natsu was just straight up stronger than Gajeel (I think) Natsu ate the Etherion. It was a two versus one (Natsu and Gajeel vs Laxus). Natsu just ate the golden flame. The Dragon Slayers slayed a dragon and they worked together. Laxus gave his power to Natsu. Dragon Slayers slayed dragons again. It was a two versus one and Gray had Ice Demon Slayer magic. There really wasn’t anyone strong in Avatar and it shows how much stronger Natsu got during Timeskip. Zeref died because of the Curse of Contradiction. Acnologia was trapped in Fairy Sphere which stopped him before which probably weakened his spiritual body. Yes there are some deaths that should’ve happened like Makarov but people still sacrificed themselves/ died in Fairy Tail. And I do think Acnologia defeats was rushed and kinda of coop out. Fairy Tail is still a good anime even with the flaws it has.
I do agree that the power of friendship trope gets overused in this trope but this anime is genuinely good. The real detractors are people who don’t like the reused trope or One Piece fans

The problem is that most of the events has Team Natsu in the center. While Fairy Tail itself is the protagonist, Mira isn’t a “main” character like Erza is. Which makes it difficult when most of the plot away from the Guild have Team Natsu as the focus.

No matter what people call you you do your own thing you find what makes you happy and you PUSH! lol this is one of the most perfect songs and one of the best classic animes.
People can complain about the power of friendship trope all they want. I know it's cringe, people who have watched the show and love it know. But for me personally, it helped me a lot, to know that your family isn't just the one you're born into. And there's actually a reason for the friendship trope to work, because the guild works together as a team to overcome it. We see how much this guild is to everyone and how much they care for each other, unlike some animes

Fairy Tail has always had a place in my heart ever since I first started watching. While, it's not my favorite, it's still up there purely off of my emotional attachment to the series and its characters. It taught me that it's okay to rely on other people if you need it and that more often than not, you'll try harder at something if you're doing it for someone else's sake. It also shows that anyone can be your family regardless of blood ties or background. Despite the hate it gets for the whole "power of friendship" thing and the fanservice, it's a series that wears it's heart on its sleeve and the themes that go along with it are really well thought out and wholesome to a point that every win and loss feels like it's so much bigger than just the characters directly involved with each fight. Everyone in the guild has a sense of belonging and acceptance towards each other and I love it.
I grew up watching it when it first came out AND I'm hyped for the 100 Years Quest. Yes it is in production to be animated and I'm excited
Fairy Tail was one of the shows that got me into anime and is amazing. There are so many moments that make me tear up. I wish some of the filler wasn't there because it can really break the flow in the story but it was a good fun show. It may be goofy and childish at some points compared to some of the other big anime but that light hearted feel was what made it fun.

I honestly believe that while it is not above genuine criticism, it gets the most flak from those that are lonely or angry at the world. Its message of Love and the true power of friendship/companionship is unmatched in anime.
I also think that people compare it to too many anime, in a show of magic, and it just wants to tell a nice story of someone who found a home in a guild, but people think if it’s not as “good” as One Piece then it’s terrible

I completely agree. It was a journey we all took part in to some extent. That music gets me fired up and I've heard the song so many times that I can imagine the entire song just even thinking about it. But especially the Dragon Force theme. That goes so hard that I use it to motivate myself into pushing myself to do better. I'll always love this series.
It was established in volume one that feelings influence magic power. I get it tho. But people just point at fairy tail when in more "popular" anime they do it as well. The theme is family so obviously natsu and everyone else is gonna protect their family.

Yeah the only main difference is fairytail explicitly says "fighting for my friends" at some times and its built into the power system. But the whole trope of fighting for those you care about and protecting others is just basic shonen writing. Dbz, naruto, demon slayer, my hero, one piece, black clover, basically every popular battle shonen has moments of "I wont let you hurt them, etc etc."

All I know is that, fairy tail is a true anime not like any other and I will admit just because Natsu said “I would never leave a single comrade alone” or something like that I will DEFINITELY cry. I know it’s cringe too but trust me it really does hit different it’s an anime to show that these people have more courage to fight, even risk they’re lives for others it’s truly heart warming.

This show has made me cry so many times bruh, it was my first anime and my favorite anime, i love it to absolute death and sometimes its extremely powerful...yes ill admit, its not perfect, and sometimes its cringe (has a lot of filler too), but come on, the same can be said for anime in general

Just started watching fairy tail 2 months ago, and I'm on s3 now, I never even thought that fairy tail received hate, this is one of the anime that I didn't regret watching, I just love this anime and it's not like this is the first anime who has a "power of friendship" thing and I say it's very common in a shonen anime
I know im 9 months late but the power of friendship problem is a season 3 thing (they say its power of friendship but most people know its the death bait they were angry about) i hated all the death bait in season 3 but its not going to ruin season 1 and 2 for me, thats like everyone dunking on naruto cause the war arc was kinda wonky(the war arc of naruto is legit the equivalent to season 3 ngl). Its like how we all shouldnt drop the 8 seasons of game of thrones cause the 8th season had a bad ending
i finished it a month ago after starting it when i was in middle school, i’ve been graduated from hs since 2021. i completely restarted and finished within 3 months, everyday of fairy tail, i don’t see how ppl say it’s boring or has no plot, i found it very interesting, especially when it came to the last two seasons, definitely a 10/10 anime

It’s hated because of lack of research and people just not paying attention. number one it’s literally stated that feelings make someone stronger in the verse. Number two the whole idea of Fairy tail is found family and friendships so of course the “power of friendship” is going to be there. Number three people exaggerate the amount of “power of friendship” used in Fairy Tail. Arc by arc here’s each reason why the main villain lost their fight. Natsu’s flame of emotion overpowered the wind guy. Gray’s two handed ice make was sturdier than Lyon’s one handed version. Natsu was just straight up stronger than Gajeel (I think) Natsu ate the Etherion. It was a two versus one (Natsu and Gajeel vs Laxus). Natsu just ate the golden flame. The Dragon Slayers slayed a dragon and they worked together. Laxus gave his power to Natsu. Dragon Slayers slayed dragons again. It was a two versus one and Gray had Ice Demon Slayer magic. There really wasn’t anyone strong in Avatar and it shows how much stronger Natsu got during Timeskip. Zeref died because of the Curse of Contradiction. Acnologia was trapped in Fairy Sphere which stopped him before which probably weakened his spiritual body. Yes there are some deaths that should’ve happened like Makarov but people still sacrificed themselves/ died in Fairy Tail. And I do think Acnologia defeats was rushed and kinda of coop out. Fairy Tail is still a good anime even with the flaws it has.
Honestly Erza uses the trope the most but she just badass with it so it's cool af.

The anime Lost my respect when They literally do Mirajane so wrong throughout the entire show. Mira & Erza teamups would have been legendary
The problem is that most of the events has Team Natsu in the center. While Fairy Tail itself is the protagonist, Mira isn’t a “main” character like Erza is. Which makes it difficult when most of the plot away from the Guild have Team Natsu as the focus.

Excuse me this show is pure gold! This is the anime that you break out when you are feeling sad! Like you said this song is the song that even in the most shit of times it pumps you up to keep on pushing! No matter what people call you you do your own thing you find what makes you happy and you PUSH! lol this is one of the most perfect songs and one of the best classic animes.
People can complain about the power of friendship trope all they want. I know it's cringe, people who have watched the show and love it know. But for me personally, it helped me a lot, to know that your family isn't just the one you're born into. And there's actually a reason for the friendship trope to work, because the guild works together as a team to overcome it. We see how much this guild is to everyone and how much they care for each other, unlike some animes
