Oh yea, Billy wanted to destroy that family for what Sid's mom was doing with/to his father. It also caused his mom's distance from him (Billy) when she found out about the affair.
Roman was the best Ghostface. Besides the fact the events are because of him, I really like that he didn't have a partner, he completely soloed it. How his voice changer can sound like anyone caused so much distrust was brilliant and he was incredibly intelligent. Also I really like that he had a full face to face conversation with the voice changer.
Actually all the Ghostface attacks are caused by John Milton. His abuse on Maureen led to her getting pregnant and thus led to her and Roman's issues which led to the creation of Ghostface.
Roman was the evilest Ghostface of them all; he's the one who pushed Billy and Stu to kill Sidney's mother in the first place. He was the master manipulator behind it all,
@@halaand8190 It was still a consequence of Roman's directing. He manipulated Billy, who was killed by Sidney, which got Billy's mom to seek revenge and partner with Mickey. It was all a chain reaction.
I wouldn't say he's the most evil. He, Billy, and Billy's Mom at least had an emotional motivation for their actions, Mickey and Stu I'd say are the most evil since they had no motivations other than to live out their sick fantasies and kill.
Even though I think Scream 3 is the weakest entry out of all 4 Scream films, it should be noted that this is still the only Scream film with one killer and one killer only. Roman killed all those people on his own. And he could have easily gotten away with it. Underrated Ghostface in my opinion.
I think all the movies go in order, as a whole. They each have a reason why they're better than the others but overall, I think its still: 1. Scream 2. Scream 2 3. Scream 3 4. Scream 4
+ohhKilla Scream 4 made no sense. If Sydney had any other relatives then where the hell were they in the first movie. There were no hints that Sydney had family left except for her dad
I honestly believe 1 and 3 were the best... 1 was the original, it was the "real deal" when it comes to motive and sheer creepiness... the original "What's your favorite scary movie" a very iconic film. 2 confused me because the motives felt terrible. Mickey was a creepy dude, but I couldn't take him seriously. 3 was the second best because it's Sidney's brother... and he literally had a terrible life when it came to his parents and then watching his sister gain fame off their mothers death.. a woman his sister didn't truly Know. He was a genuine hurting person who was highly believable. Part 4 was the weakest in my opinion... although it had great action in it, and the fact Syd actually almost died... I still felt like the actress who played Jill was no more than a crazed attention-seeking-fangirl than an actual psycho murderer... but I think I might be a little bias because Emma Roberts to me is a very cement actress, it feels like she's trying too hard and looks BORED more than scary lol Billy looked like a real psycho, Jill just looked like a bored little girl (which Emma sorta looks bored in all her movies)

@@sgillman16 The point of Scream 4 is that most Scary Movies (whether a slasher or supernatural) had been remade, rebooted and/or straight-up retconned. Take the first volume of a story and erase the two or more later volumes and turn it into something else or the first volume by itself and add a few different things. It happens. The Evil Dead (Technically the Evil Dead remake is also a sequel), Nightmare On Elm Street, Friday The 13th (the remake automatically combined 1 by the ending and the whole sequel), Halloween (the thorn, H20, Rob Zombie, and 2018 sequel of the first), Child's Play (change the whole story completely with the remake), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (about three versions of Leatherface), Ringu (The Ring by America), and Ju-On (The Grudge also by America). Basically Scream 4 is a Scream remake a retconned Scream 2 in a sense
Yes. In the other movies there was always a 2nd accomplice . Roman was the mastermind behind the chess board waiting for everything to fall into place to make his plan fall into action.
Troll guy you gotta thank roman for that. he's the reason he became the killer, roman showing billy the footage making billy start a murder spree. Romans my favourite he's the reason 1 and 2 started
Roman was the best ghost face, because he single-handily murdered all those people. He was also the reason why this all started. Even in scream4 his actions still haunted Sidney through Jill. It was all a result of his doings. Roman also physiologically fucked with Sidney. Something no other murderer did.
Marcelo Liebhardt Exactly, if only he played dead when Sidney stabbed him in the chest, he would have been the antagonist in scream 4, but rage and hate got to him.
He acted alone as well. Billy and his mom had help but Roman did everything all by himself. I don't know how he met Billy but he was the one who showed Billy the video of his dad having an affair with his girlfriend's mom. Didn't Billy fuck with Sidney's mind as well? Maybe not as bad as Roman did. Seriously, Maureen must've been a horrible woman because her actions caused all of this to happen.
He was the one who killed Maureen, Stevens, and Cici Cooper since he has the strength to stab Phil Stevens in the ear in the bathroom stall. All we know is that Mrs. Loomis was the one who killed Randy after he insulted her son, Billy.
Roman Bridger is by far the best Ghostface killer in the whole Scream franchise. He was the smartest killer too because he was the one that caused Billy to kill Maureen Prescott and he even wore a bulletproof vest. No he’s not
@@genghiskahn1989 Watch the first movie. He was angry at Sidney's mother for making his parents divorce. Sidney's mother started an affair with Billy's father, which caused his mother to leave them. do you think it would be better if fate allowed jill and sidney to swap times of birth and boyfriends?....i see billy and jill being very compatible, sidney on the other hand is more compatible with a boyfriend like trevor
I like the significance of Roman as a film director whilst being the Ghostface killer. Film directors are central to a production set, similar to Wes Craven on the four Scream films, and because Roman persuaded (and directed) Billy to murder Maureen (like a slasher villain to a female victim), he becomes the leader of the whole Scream series and as a film director, especially when they all make reference to classic horror films.
Definitely, agree. Just a question, why did Billy want to kill Sidney? Was it Roman who influenced him to not kill Maureen, but also Sidney? or did Billy want to kill Sidney just for fun? I know Scream 3 is widely hated by the majority of Scream fans out there, but I quite like it, especially the Ghostface we get in it. Roman’s Ghostface felt like the most unstoppable and tactical one of the series. He literally took on 4 people at once in that bedroom scene at Milton’s mansion, pulled the rug out from under Tyson (literally lmao) when he tried to escape, managed to capture both Gale and Dewey, was the only killer that wore a bulletproof vest, was one of the only killers who was evenly matched against Sidney, and was responsible for the entire series taking place. seems everybody after started copying him. he was the smartest, strongest and most superhuman ghostface.
Also he has the highest kill count of any ghostface and he did it all alone. He was on another level. Theres never been a solo alone ghostface before him or after him. The real master of the entire series Without roman we wouldnt get any of these other killers
Roman also locked Sydney in the same room as him before revealing himself. The only way to get out of that room was to kill him and get the remote. Every other Ghostface, so far, did not make it so that Sydney couldn't escape.
0:38 - “The other half of you. I search for a mother too, an actress named Rina Reynolds, tried to find her my whole life. And four years ago, I exactly tracked her down. Knocked at her door, thinking she welcomed me with open arms, but she had a new life and a new name: Maureen Prescott. You were the only child she claim, Sidney. She shut me out in the cold forever! Her own son.” - Roman Bridger
Scream 3 is my favorite of the series, It feels the most refined, I enjoyed the first one, But this Scene Alone is what makes my favorite, just the Transition from Maureen voice to the Ghost Face is Pure Nightmare fuel and the Fact the Roman was Solo Killer made it even better in my opinion
This is the best Scream there's so much emotion to ghost face an his motive is a lot stronger it feels fresh. And the guy playing the killer makes it so believable rather then Scream 4 Js
Her mom is to blame. Why? Because Maureen is the reason why Billy's mother abandoned him, and his father was a lame one to begin with. It's all because Sidney's mom was going around fuckin' married men with families, and then she thought was going to get away with disowning one of her own children ( Roman ). Somewhere in there, she was going to screw someone up in the head, turned out to be Roman. But I don't blame him.
Hey! I'm responding to a seven year old comment. You still there? If so Scream 5 is supposedly gonna be based on what you said in your comment here. It's gonna be a prequel and focus on Maureen's murder. Should be interesting. Peace!
i do think she was wrong for disowning her own kid. but it’s not her fault that billy’s mom left. yes affairs are bad but his dad had an affair too. billy’s mom really had NO reason to leave HIM and the she wants to act like mother of the year by brutally murdering poor randy. anyone, the only people that are to blame in any of these movies are the ghostface killers. not maureen. not billy’s dad. not sid, randy, gale, or dewey.
Never thought I'd see Scott Foley in anything after this and then he shows up on Scandal. lol. Then again he was one of the better actors in this movie.
If you think about it, Roger Jackson (the voice of Ghostface) seems like the kind of guy that would be the voice of a Sith Lord in a *Star Wars* video game or TV show or even a *Power Rangers* villain.
@@alienator4684 Technically true. In each movie only one person actually takes off the mask. Billy in Stu 's "unmasking" was the best because took off figurative masks by showing their true psychotic selves.
It's great no doubt! One of my favs! I do like Jason's in 6 though too, it clicks over before he speaks again, but it's like a complete transition, almost like the voice didn't fully cross over all the way when he says, "The worst" but then it's a smooth fade from Jason's voice to Ghostface without the beep interrupting the speech. (Beeeeeeeep) "The worst (Jason) part is (Ghostface)...."
Roman started it all. Very good twist. But not just that he made sure she went nuts mentally. With pretending to be her mother haunting her. Roman knew how to get in her head.
I really don’t understand the hate on Scream3 .. I mean when I first watched it.. they kept giving us clues about the killers and that you have to forget everything you know about the past cause it’s all about to change ... BUT .. man I wasn’t ready for such a twist .. I mean this twist I think is the best twist in the franchise .. her own brother is the killer ? It’s sure better than scream’s 2 twist ( not saying that the killers were terrible but talking about the motives) .. the only silly things about this movie was that voice changing device .. It didn’t make us bond with the new caracteres as well but that’s a thing we saw in scream 4 also .. I think everybody loved SCREAM1 cause it made us love the characters and feel sad about them getting killed .. SCREAM2 was good too because it had survivors from the first movie .. Once the number of survivors had gotten less and less the opinions about the movies started to be different from good to bad to ok .. I don’t understand why can’t they keep new survivors ?? The black guy for example from SCREAM3 was funny .. the girl who played Gale in Stab3 too was very ok .. SCREAM4 had Kirby and that guy who played CHarlie’s cinema club’s friend .. they were all great characters that deserve to be in the next movie even if they die .. what’s the point of bringing a new characters if they’ll all die and the 3 originals will survive as usual ? just saying
Scream 3 gets a bad wrap but it was clever to give Sydney a half-brother. It doesn't hurt the integrity of the other two movies because it makes sense her mom would have secrets.
Roman being the catalyst of literally every iteration of Ghostface, from giving Billy the motivation, to teaming up with Stu, to inspiring Mickey and bringing on a vengeful Mrs Loomis, to a envious Jill and a lustful Charlie.......and to whomever will be the next killer in the 5th.
I think that the roman's voice changer thing is very smart, considering that he was a director, somehow he knew how to edit audios, and with the voices of the actors, Gale's lectures, the interviews that Sidney, Dewey and cotton probably gave, He could have collected everything and this generated his device, apart from that, he could also imitate the mother's voice since it is explained that she used to make films, and probably has taken fragments of those films. Well, it's just an opinion
Roman was the one who kill sidney mother because she rejected roman saying that hes not her son and she had a new life thats why he started all of this
a lot of people hate this one but for a movie made up of ideas from different plots, it turned out really good, they should do the original scream 3 plot with scream 5 though
Basically, Sidney's mom had her life ruined in Hollywood, so she left and tried to start a new life for herself, her past came back to haunt her in the form of her son Roman, but when she refused to acknowledge him as her son, he lost his mind and stalked his mother for months, and after showing Billy Loomis the footage of Sidney's mother having an affair with his dad, he went crazy and slaughtered the woman responsible for driving his mom out of his life. However, after her son's murder, Mrs. Loomis somehow decided to play a game of revenge killer by trying to frame Sidney for the events of Scream 2, but she ended up getting killed, by the man whom was framed for the murder of the woman whom he was sleeping around with prior to the events of Scream, Cotton Weary, who ends up getting killed in the beginning of the third movie none other than Roman Bridger. All because one woman Rhina Reynold's had her life and innocence taken away from her years prior in Hollywood.
roman so underrated and the way he played mindgames before killing also he was the only ghostface that did everything himself. every other scream had more then 1 ghostface. but roman didnt need a partner he was smart and dangerous and resilient.
He's the smartest ghostface as he managed to trick his victims and have a bullet proof vest
A bulletproof vest gave his victims the illusion of immortality
All the their killers except Stu were shot, so this guy learned from their mistakes
Not only that, but he was the mastermind behind everything. From the first film to the third film. If it hadn't been for Roman, Billy never would've known that it was Sidney's mom who was sleeping with his dad, which motivated him to kill her and basically set off the chain of events that played out in the first movie, thus inspiring Mickey and driving Billy's mom to perpetrate the events in Scream 2, and then it all came to a head in the third movie, where we discover that Roman was responsible for everything, and in Scream 4, we revisit the town where the nightmare began, where a copycat was bound to emerge in the form of Sidney's envious, psychopathic cousin.

Ghost Face1230 you kinda sound like the green goblin from the Toby maguire movies
The best Ghostface Killer of the series . Roman Bridger. I mean Billy and Stue were borderline psychotic, but Roman was no better seeing how everything that's happened revolved around him being the mastermind of it all . Just watching from the shadows waiting for the right moment to reveal to Sidney it was him who started it all .
Definitely, agree.
Just a question, why did Billy want to kill Sidney? Was it Roman who influenced him to not kill Maureen, but also Sidney?
How would you rank the killers in the movies? Not adding TV series cause IDK if you watched it or not. If you have, please reply.

3rd Place: Mickey Alteri (Most Diverse Kills Killer)

1st Place: Jill Roberts (Best Plan Killer)
what kill from Mickey earned your award? also I agree with you list completely.
Oh yea, Billy wanted to destroy that family for what Sid's mom was doing with/to his father. It also caused his mom's distance from him (Billy) when she found out about the affair.
Shadow_Spartan__ billy didn’t want to kill Sid maybe
What did Stu have against Sidney that I don’t know
Roman was the best Ghostface. Besides the fact the events are because of him, I really like that he didn't have a partner, he completely soloed it. How his voice changer can sound like anyone caused so much distrust was brilliant and he was incredibly intelligent. Also I really like that he had a full face to face conversation with the voice changer.
Aaron S i agree
Actually all the Ghostface attacks are caused by John Milton. His abuse on Maureen led to her getting pregnant and thus led to her and Roman's issues which led to the creation of Ghostface.
“What’s the matter? What are you staring at? Don’t you remember your *mother”* this gave me chills when I was 10. Still does...
Roman was the evilest Ghostface of them all; he's the one who pushed Billy and Stu to kill Sidney's mother in the first place. He was the master manipulator behind it all,
I see you a lot on comments lol
What about the second
@@halaand8190 It was still a consequence of Roman's directing. He manipulated Billy, who was killed by Sidney, which got Billy's mom to seek revenge and partner with Mickey. It was all a chain reaction.
I wouldn't say he's the most evil. He, Billy, and Billy's Mom at least had an emotional motivation for their actions, Mickey and Stu I'd say are the most evil since they had no motivations other than to live out their sick fantasies and kill.
That set a chain of events
Just as Randy said, it's a trilogy about going back to the beginning and discovering an untold back story.
Same thing happens in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Rises and Star Wars Return of the Jedi.
They each have a reason why they're better than the others but overall, I think its still:
1. Scream
2. Scream 2
3. Scream 3
I still felt like the actress who played Jill was no more than a crazed attention-seeking-fangirl than an actual psycho murderer... but I think I might be a little bias because Emma Roberts to me is a very cement actress, it feels like she's trying too hard and looks BORED more than scary lol
Billy looked like a real psycho, Jill just looked like a bored little girl (which Emma sorta looks bored in all her movies)
Definitely, agree.

Roman had the strongest motivation of all the ghostface killers, imo he's the killer who's easiest to empathize with.
Same.
@Natasha Evans i just don't get why he was jelly of Sidney's fame when he's a director working in Hollywood i mean having a mommy is one thing but never got why he got mad at her for the fame.
Mrs. Loomis had the most legitimate reason.

Yeah, there was no reason to bring her cousin in. But at least it made us realize it was Maureen's side of the family that has the psychotic genes. Sidney clearly got most of her dad's though.
Joseph Scaduto no, just no
@@sgillman16 The point of Scream 4 is that most Scary Movies (whether a slasher or supernatural) had been remade, rebooted and/or straight-up retconned.
To its credit, Scream 4 was still good but it should also be noted it was a soft reboot so its not exactly a follow up
Roman was the best killer
agree
Yes. In the other movies there was always a 2nd accomplice . Roman was the mastermind behind the chess board waiting for everything to fall into place to make his plan fall into action.
he was the sole ghostface killer in this movie .
I think Billy was the best killer
Troll guy you gotta thank roman for that. he's the reason he became the killer, roman showing billy the footage making billy start a murder spree. Romans my favourite he's the reason 1 and 2 started
This movie is so underrated.
I agree its my favorite in the franchise.

Seriously, Maureen must've been a horrible woman because her actions caused all of this to happen.
him and Mickey were the best in the Scream franchise as you can tell by my pic lawl
***** Mickey really had no motive to begin with, he's just a psychopath.
No he’s not
Why Billy kill Sydney's mother?
@@genghiskahn1989 Watch the first movie. He was angry at Sidney's mother for making his parents divorce. Sidney's mother started an affair with Billy's father, which caused his mother to leave them. And Roman encouraged him to take his anger out on Sidney's mother by killing her with the help of a weak-willed and lapdog-like accomplice to help him.
Still got headshot like Billy and his mom in part 1 & 2

do you think it would be better if fate allowed jill and sidney to swap times of birth and boyfriends?....i see billy and jill being very compatible, sidney on the other hand is more compatible with a boyfriend like trevor
Pethros Georgagos maybe
I like the significance of Roman as a film director whilst being the Ghostface killer. Film directors are central to a production set, similar to Wes Craven on the four Scream films, and because Roman persuaded (and directed) Billy to murder Maureen (like a slasher villain to a female victim), he becomes the leader of the whole Scream series and as a film director, especially when they all make reference to classic horror films.

Scream 3 wasn’t bad. Roman actually was a pretty smart killer and the cause of the events of the films to happen.
He was also hella violent when it came to fights...
he was by far the most intelligent and superhuman killer
That ghostface voice is so sick and badass
The real master of the entire series
Without roman we wouldnt get any of these other killers
There were some bad parts about Scream 3 but absolutely Roman was my favourite ghost face besides Billy and Stu
Roman also locked Sydney in the same room as him before revealing himself. The only way to get out of that room was to kill him and get the remote. Every other Ghostface, so far, did not make it so that Sydney couldn't escape.
It's the best one in my opinion. It ties all three together.

Right! Because in the other movies there were two people helping out each other. The 4th one was terrible lol

Roman is definitely the most underrated Ghostface in the franchise. IMO he would beat the rest in a fight
Maybe in wits. When it came to strength and endurance, Mickey would take that spot
say what you want about this movie but this killer reveal is probably the best one out of all 4 movies
Roman Bridger is definitely the most complex and calculated of the Ghostface killers despite not ever having a partner.
Her ownnnn sonnn
