This was the only thing that was downloaded on my phone when the Ukrainian war started, so I could only listen to it for a few days which I spent in an underground bunker. It soothed me and allowed me to sleep a bit. And it soothes me even now.
@starlitlorekeeper I am infinitely grateful for your words of support, they truly are what keeps the fire of my hope lit. May your joys be many, and your woes few, kind stranger.
@@trustytrestYes, it is indeed much easier to listen to all kinds of music with unlimited internet access. I can't imagine my life without music. If I hadn’t had this album downloaded while I was in that bunker, I would likely go insane from all the tension. Fortunately, I do not need to hide underground anymore, since life became much safer and easier. Thanks for your kind words. I wish you a pleasant day, stranger.
I think it is. Some Metal enthusiasts and artists are turning to this Neofolk/Dark Folk. There lies the root to the tree we have always admired and wondered where it came from, from which secret wells its vibrant leaves were fed.
Ever since i found "in the woods" and "years of silence" I've been getting better music than ever before. You certaintly wouldn't find this on some bacterium-plus-detention-desk-looking dude's soundcloud, huh? No offense to people who like LinkinPark, but just cause old songs were good that doesn't mean new songs are bad,and THIS album is proof of that. It's so good!
Words really can't describe how much this music means to me. I've been listening for 3 years, and it fills my heart with so much light and inspiration still. Both this album, and the "Ulvesang" album.
Always fan of try before buy. Even when I living in the maritimes, not much exposure to folk & this sort of music outside of the fall festivals. These bands have this channel to thank for the myriad purchases I've made this year. Maybe many will enjoy for free, but ppl who can afford to give back & support will gain new horizon because of it.
After the third listening, i can shurely tell, this album is a masterpiece of guitar music. That guitar needs more bass, but damn, this guy will become HUGE, if he continues to make music, like Estas tonne. There are no wrong notes here, only perfect notes, the perfect tempo, the perfect mood, the style, omg... Dear sir, i don't know your name, but your playing is eternal!
this makes me want to make an interactive adventure experience for each segment. the music is epic and would lend itself fantastically to looping for game levels
"Truth" There is a candle burning faster than most. I'll tell you now I will not live with its ghost. Along the path its fading light, Yeah, it pulls... And when it's gone, well you know out come the wolves. And I will welcome their jaws. Shred all my books with their claws. No Hunter, no trader, no axe. My mouth shut with cold, melted wax
I can tell why that one song is called "The Dance." It's the dance of predator and prey, chasing, running, slowing down, adjusting, and chasing again. It's honestly amazing.
Calm but somewhat restless with more enhusiastic intervals. A predator resting watchfully, and the odd break of adrenaline as a prey appears. Yes, sounds like a hunt to me.
I promise guys, I already know every theme by heart and I can't stop listening to them. I feel such peace and emotion! I'm glad I found this channel and these artists.
As one of the privileged essential workers, working from home and having to deal with a bunch of frustrations at a place where I want to be calm not only to my wife but just within...this music REALLY helps! Absolutely beautiful.
Jethro Tull is definitely in there, but Ian Anderson always played this style tongue-in-cheek and somewhat mocked it... this here is sincere. If you want more similar content, Wolcensmen are great, you can find all albums here on RUclips.
You know. I felt soo much love hearing my beautiful voice of my greatest lord inquisitor. He is burning demons! And fights well. His voice is sheer beauty. Make more music for me. I am not a music recorder but I think this music is very holy!
Quiet Canada needed it's own natural sounds put into a "wilderness quest" for our home and native land...almost extinct in noise. Events. Trespassings...We all have limits. We all have boundaries. Keeping our treasures safe and unpolluted is up to us. Music allows the untouchable to be admired without trampling all over it. The distance in Silence is a peaceful worship of our land. Thank you for the trip!
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing ^_^ Hard to explain the majesty of exploring nature and the feelings that come from it but this album manages to do so.
Eu estou encantando com essas músicas, que qualidade de som e acima de tudo que profundidade ao tocar a alma quando você para pra ouvir no fone do ouvido desconectado do mundo

an interesting discovery: both albums also sound good in 2X speed. i didnt notice i left it on from a long documentary i was slogging through. interesting results with ulvesang.
"This album is about anger and hurt, the dark places that it can take us, and the perseverance through it all" - Ulvesang (from their Bandcamp)
Kept listening for the anger, hurt and dark places. All I could find was light and hope...

What an absolute beautiful album. I'm in tears. So grateful I was guided too this heart felt soul revival music.

This show how much music can be a powerful thing, making something not only to your mind but somehow like the soul too

The name of the band is 'Ulvesang'. 'Ulvesang' is a Danish word, it means 'Wolf Song'.
