Today on Bartenders Watch Bar Rescue, bartender Alan reacts to Jon Taffer's rescue of Ripper's Rock House, a bar owned by former Judas Priest lead singer, Tim "Ripper" Owens, and a businessperson, Micah, whose restaurant has built a horrible reputation from the beginning as a very inexpensive wing location that is riddled with biker gangs who don't tip.

It's always funny to watch your stress levels spike at the dumb mistakes being made. Keep it up

"That looks like fr**king dishwater!"
"It IS dishwater."

I think the owner saw The Blues Brothers, where everyone threw glasses at the stage in the bar, hence the plastic cups.
I once played a gig in 98 in Parkersburg, Wv, and there was chicken wire on the stage and it held back the bottles. My mandolin was filled with glass by the end of the 4 hrs. Great memories
I really doubt that since he has been in multiple bands namely Judas Priest.
Hey Alan glad your back. Your next reaction should be that bar The Hooch that owner will raise your blood pressure to the max.
I had to talk a number of coworkers in the restaurant business off the edge from walking out. I worked as a kitchen steward in a fine dinning establishment whose executive chef was james bear nominated repeatedly. My glass and silverware polishing station was by the employee entrance and where employee drinks were kept. So anyone on the verge of breaking down came by me...and there were days i was the one breaking down. The maitr'd was a former marine drill Sargeant and still acted like it.
I'm curious on how he will react to the episode where the bar also had a mini bar next to a softball field
Hope you have more Bar Rescue reactions coming soon. I enjoy your channel.
More to come! Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't done so already!
Wait a minute, 'Ripper'...your name is on the bar but it's 40/60 in favor of somebody else?! Trouble ahead. 🤦🏾♂🤦🏾♂
19:16 - 19:44...Alan, I appreciate your remarks on dishwashers being essential to restaurant and bar kitchens. I've had 2 trainees a while back in a fine dining restaurant I used to work in on a Christmas Eve service...I remember this like clockwork. Those 2 trainees washed exactly one pan each, asked me if they could the restrooms to which I said they need to check with the managers, they get the okay and somehow disappeared from 4:30 to just after 11:30 that night. Turns out they partied the night away at a nearby pizza joint. All the while I'm back there trying to hold the fort both in dishwashing and help with food prep, so you can imagine how pissed I was. I don't get it...dishwashing is one of the easiest jobs you can get but somehow it's taken for granted way too often, it just angers me.
Were they on probation period? I would have fired them right off the bat. A bathroom break at the same time during service should already been a red flag.
@@BehindtheStickMedia No, they just started and were only there for a few days at the most...and they had the nerve to try and ask for their jobs back once they were fired... 🙄🙄
I live near it and it closed down over a year ago.
Always love the videos man:)
Appreciate it!
does anyone know the recipe to that sauce Chef pink made? I'd love to try it
Rob Halford is JudasPriests lead singer
RIpper Owens was lead singer 1996-2005 when Halford left the band, Halford came back to the band in 2005
Yeah, I live near that bar and it closed down years ago lmao. Bar Rescue couldn't save it.
You think Tim Owens owning a bar is wack, wait until Season 7 when Marshawn Lynch shows up!
And John Daly before him too!
Im here kinda on time!❤
Thanks for tuning in!
Your insight is intelligent and business sensible while considering this weird unhinged and creative bar culture
how long did they stay open?
They stayed open until September 2016, so for just under a year. They closed due to commitments both the owners made to other ventures .
You should react to the episode Dalia's inferno episode.
I dont see the issue w being cheap especially in this ecomony
Alan have you watched the new bartender anime glass of god
That's on my to-do list. I'm a little backlogged on a lot of videos right now. If you haven't done so already, I did a few reaction videos to the older Bartender anime series.
@@BehindtheStickMedia oh i have watched those which is why im curious if you watch the sequal
Stop pausing so much. Just talk over them and rewind if you need to
