You can use PodGo FX Loop Send placed before the amp block and set to 50% mix so it effectively splits the signal. Better than using the amp out which would be after the amp block before cab block. I believe you can use the FX send block on the HX stomp in a similar fashion as a “Thru” and not require parallel path. The benefit then where it’s a balanced signal being sent from the main out to FOH and the FX loop send is an unbalanced signal to the blues jr
Hey, do you have a video showing how to use the helix (I have a stomp xl) with an amp's effects loop? I want the Stomp's 'distortion effects' to go straight into the "front" of the amp but the 'delays and reverbs' to go into the amp's effects loop (no amp modeling desired)
Could you do a video of the hx stomp as the effects going into the amp? Also can you use an amp model into the amp to make an amp sound like a different amp?
Hey buddy, I have a question… What about if I have an AC30 at the stage? Do I need to turn off Amp+Cab? The sound is not good at stage because is duplicating effects
But you dont have a preamp, which you kinda want in order to process your signal. The current setup you have is kind a like plugging a guitar into pedals into a power amp. There's no preamp colouring? One would think its easy and you can just add a preamp but you can't. The Helix only supports one amp or preamp at a time.
I think missed something. The top line in the HX Stomp is Effects only going straight into the front (Preamp and Power Amp) of the Fender Blues Jr, the bottom path is where I introduce an HX Amp and CAB/IR model to send to FOH
@@HeyWorshipLeaderah ok got you. So you're using it to replace a bank of pedals basically. Another way a lot of people do it for added versatility is to run it into the FX return to bypass the preamp. That's when you add a preamp block to get the versatility of preamp colouring.
Is there a way to create a « fx loop » on the HX stomp if your amp doesn’t have one? So the reverb and delay don’t run in front of the amp mixed with the fuzzes and distortions?
Is there any way to cut the hum out of the blues jr? I have one and noticed there’s sound coming out of hxstomp xl with no amps or IR’s activated…solely the pedals and the StompXL on my pedalboard
Idk exactly what would be causing that, but you could mess with the built in Noise gate and see if that helps. But best to find the real issue. could be power or a ground loop...hard to know
In this example he's shown it's 'wrong' in terms of best practise. The guitar signal should split at the beginning of 1a to create 1b. On 1b you go into preamp/amp, then have to duplicate your FX from 1a, then add the IR and then reverb then out.
That will normally give a better FOH tone than what's shown here, unless of course you like the tone you get this way. Essentially you want to create 1b in the same way you would have if you were ONLY going to FOH. If you look at any presets that's what you want on 1b

My man understood to mission 💯
How about if you want to use your amp's return? Where do you place your Amp sim?

This is a great idea. I shared this with some friends.
What are your settings on the blues jr?

yes...absolutely...or you'll have 2 amps and cabs running in series

How do you create 2 separate signals on HX edit? I tried to split, however it merges back to the first signal line into the main L/R outputs.
You can 'drag' it off Path1A and select another output

When I was just looking at the thumbnail thinking about how that’d be possible I immediately thought about signal chain a and b 😅
But you loses the stereo effects in front of helix amp and IR, right?
Yes
Normally you should put the preamp/amp in the front and the IR last.
However, reverb is better after the IR so bear that in mind.
